Please could I have an 'one of the demigods owns an ice cream parlour and the rest come and visit' hc??
Frank immediately came to my mind when I read this, which might seem strange since he’s lactose intolerant, but hear me out• Frank always loved little cafes and parlours – they just looked so cute and cosy and homely, and they reminded him of the little cafés he’d go to celebrate whenever his mum came home for a while • They became a little bittersweet after her death, but as he grew up, he came to love them again. They made him feel, in a strange way, closer to her… but it was a shame that he usually couldn’t buy more than a drink in those places since they weren’t exactly vegan/lactose intolerant-friendly • And after a year or so of working with younger campers and training them, he was getting bored and wanted something new to do. He had in his mind those cafes and such that he used to visit, but he can’t think of anything new to do, something new that would actually appeal and attract people and make his place stick out• The idea came to him while he was talking with his favourite fellow vegans – Piper and Rachel – as he realised that it was pretty much impossible to find dairy free ice cream, and that there definitely wasn’t a whole ice cream parlour for dairy free ice cream where people who couldn’t/didn’t eat dairy could go to eat ice• He wanted started right away, even though he had absolutely no idea where’re to start• Thankfully, his two rich, fellow vegans were happy to lend a helping hand (and some money to help start it out) and eventually became co-owners of the parlour • They do it in secret, but of course a few people manage to catch them like Annabeth (who helps with the architecture) and Percy (who gives them the name for their parlour, ‘The Hearth’) and Jason (who happily helps out where he can)• Of course, it’s the cutest parlour on planet earth, with a pretty colour scheme of white and blue, the walls inside painted with cute little scenes by Rachel, obviously. All the seats and tables are odd and don’t match at all (except for the fact that they’re all either white or blue), but it just adds to the aesthetic of the parlour • When they finally reveal it to everyone else, they all agree that it’s perfect• It becomes like a second home to them, and they regularly meet up there to talk while experimenting with new ice cream flavours • And the ice cream… it’s the best thing ever.• Frank makes a special ice cream Sunday for Percy on his brithday called Sunday Blues, and it is just an explosion of blue. Of course, Percy adores it and brings his family the next day so they can all have it• And I just can just picture Sally walking up to Frank before they leave, a proud look in her eye and a smile on her face as she gives him the biggest hug ever• Soon after that, everyone gets their own personalised ice cream• There’s special ice creams for Pride• It’s not surprising to find Sally there, sitting on a table by the winnow, eating a Sundays Blue as she writes a chapter for her new book• Percy gets a job there, and strangely enough, a lot more people start coming after that• The uniform for the place makes him like 10x cuter, so can you blame them?It’s a white button up shirt with a blue and white striped, frilly apron• It becomes seriously popular• There’s always soft, gentle music playing in the background, and it’s made more than a couple of people fall asleep there• Grover falls in love with it immediately when Percy drags him along one day, and somehow manages to slip it into every conversation he has with new people • Piper jokes that Grover is the best mobile advertisement ever, and she isn’t wrong• Pretty much every big announcement takes place there for the group, from proposals, to marriages, to pregnancies, to promotions• It’s not surprising to come in the next day and find a new drawing/painting on the wall, or tables or chairs• Entering the parlour, some say, feels like entering a whole new world where all your worries just become meaningless and melt away. You just feel calm and content, and really hungry for ice cream• A lot of the pictures on the wall are from Calypso. They’re pretty scenes she took pictures of while on her travels around the world, and the best ones always find their way into the parlour • There’s a picture of Frank’s mum just by the door, and any worker will gladly take the time to explain why if a curious customer asks or looks particularly interested• They start to make vegan cakes and pastries etc when winter starts coming, and they’re just as popular as the ice cream
