    welp my time has finally come... this bitch is making a multimuse and i’ll be moving kichi onto it. i’ll be on and off here for the next few days until i’ve got everything set up. once i do, i’ll make a post about it!!

kokichi’s perspective of this 

The thing about Kokichi is that he never let anyone get too close. He hadn’t always been like this, but he couldn’t remember a time where he didn’t casually lie. Even to his family in D.I.C.E.. Never as extreme as it was during the Killing Game. Mostly it was to protect himself. Trust had never come easy and it never would.

Shuichi made him want to try. He wanted Shuichi to understand him, before he really let his guard down. Without the stress of the game it was easier for them to really get to know each other. The lies would likely never go away but the detective could usually see through them. 

The walls he built around him were almost completely gone now. Initially it made him nervous, but now he realised it was refreshing. There was lingering effects after everything they went through, they were all still recovering. But they were mostly free now. After they all got approved by the Future Foundation they could leave and try to put this behind them. 

Pauses when he feels Shuichi’s hand, confusion mixed with curiosity briefly clear in his eyes as he blinks up at the other boy. Turns his head ever so slightly into the hand now on his cheek. A little disappointed when a kiss doesn’t follow. If this had been anyone else, their hand would have been swatted away by now. Even more disappointed when the hand moves down to his neck, still no kiss.

Dark purple eyes never stray from golden ones, amused by the sudden forwardness. It wasn’t like him. His hands felt good though, he always liked when Shuichi touched him. 

The touch to his ribs almost makes him laugh. He was cursed with being ticklish unfortunately. But the sudden serious expression makes him frown, feeling a little self-conscious now. Not enough to make him want to move away. His mask had comfortably been abandoned while with Shuichi, but at times like this he wanted to cover his face with his hands. To hide himself away again. He knew he was too thin, it bothered him for a few different reasons. Mostly used it as another lie, it made him look weak, it made people underestimate him. It could be used to his advantage. 

Relieved when Shuichi’s hands move again. When they settle on his hips he lets himself lean closer. Then the embarrassment comes. The detective’s face turns strawberry coloured and he moves away so quickly that Kokichi almost loses his footing. Can’t suppress a short laugh this time, amused by the other’s complete shift and covering his own (very slight) embarrassment. 

“Don’t apologise, Saihara-chan.” A step forward, lips curl into a smile. Using Shuichi’s actual name wasn’t something he made a habit of, preferred silly nicknames. “You can to anything you want to me, whenever you want to do it.” It was the truth and he found himself hoping Shuichi could see that.

    random hpa verse headcanon i have about my kokichi.      after being scouted he convinced the principal/experts that it would be a lot easier for him to excel in his talent if he was completely confident and comfortable in his skin. essentially he convinced them to fund his transition. they agreed bc kokichi is very convincing, it would actually be beneficial to their study, and bc kokichi showcased some supreme levels on negotiation. something that is needed for his talent.

    i’m not really interested in shipping with multiples of the same character atm. lately i haven’t been Super Inspired so whatever thoughts i have about shu and kichi go directly to ender. however i’d be happy to plot a different non-romantic relationship between the two characters if you’re cool with that.
