If Venti weren’t immortal, I suspect that he would still look quite a bit younger than his actual age as he gets older. Definitely not in a “omg I will always look like a prepubescent little boy!” way, just that features about him are working in his favor; His skin is just naturally glowy and dewey (even with wrinkles), he has bright and vibrant eyes that have that youthful light in them, and has an overall vibrant and playful disposition that is authentic to him.

Like, he could be 40, but if he really was trying, he could pass off as a 28 year old. Maybe even younger, depending on where you meet him.

At the same time, I feel like he would get white/gray hairs earlier, which isn’t too much of a problem for him- I imagine he would balance growing them out to see what happens, as well as hair dye (he so would know how to style his own hair and make it look like it was touched up at a salon)

I know it's popular fanon that Barbatos did not want to fight in Khaenri'ah and rejected the orders to destroy the kingdom etc... but I don't think that's the case. I think the seven were divided, and that's why so many fell at Khaenri'ah. But I don't think Barbatos stood against destruction or voted for peace or anything like it.

Because at the end of his archon quest, Venti tells us these things:

The Seven do not always get along, but it's seemingly unprecedented to attack another archon and take their Gnosis.

Venti wanted the Seven and their nations to deal with the abyss the first time. And since he mentioned the catastrophe from 500 years ago that's Khaenri'ah.

Venti wanted the Tsaritsa's army (the strongest army) to help fight the abyss and is frustrated? she is using it for personal gain...

Venti knew The Tsaritsa well once, but is entirely befuddled by her actions now.

Barbatos likely viewed the destruction of Khaenri'ah as a method of destroying the abyss.

Venti currently sees the Harbingers as being gifted power they're using irresponsibly and sees a potential for their military force. Which is interesting with the Paralogism quest and how we know Venti is deeply involved with the ongoings of his military.

My personal guess is that the Tsaritsa became offended at the suggestion that the Seven should use their people in a war against the abyss. If it were Barbatos's idea, it would explain why he feels targeted and the others just shrug and give up their gnosis.

No but you know what fucks me up? You know what makes me real emotional?

How much the people of Mondstadt still worship and love their archon.

Like, sure- other Archons like Zhongli and Raiden are worshipped too. They have their shrines and stuff. But they are also much more present (or were, in Zhongli's case). Their people got to see them semi-regularly. They were there and made themselves known to them, with displays of power and authority to prove to their nations. They actively ruled in some way, shape or form.

But Venti? Venti was absent. He wasn't able to give his people those assurances, those shows of capabilities and his presence. For all Mondstadt knew, their god was gone. Was barely ever there to begin with, considering Mondstadt is essentially running itself. And yet they STILL celebrate and love him! They still have that cathedral, and statue, and those stories and festivities they partake in.

And honestly? I do genuienly think that this is a greater show of love and admiration than those other archons have. Because sure, it is easy to worship and believe in a god who has always been there and ruled over you. But to do the same for one that has not shown himself in ages, who for all you know isn't even there?

Manyyyy people interpret Venti as the true being of that little wind spirit... but what if it's Barbatos? What if he's not fond of playing demure and drunken idiot. But for his kids any sacrifice must be made. What if that wind wants to let his wings open and glide wearing as few scraps of cloth as possible.
