(I am ~buzzing~ with ideas…. Allow me to release some)

Once Danny was an adult, he decided to join Ellie in her ‘permanent world tour’. It’s better than staying in Amity where the opinion of Phantom hasn’t gotten much better. Besides, the portal caused the veil to get weaker, allow ghost to wreak havoc where ever they want.

He’s met a lot new ghost cause of this too. Old as Mycenaean Greece to non humans who came to Earth and died there. Danny’s learnt so much from them that he’s basically a walking in Encyclopaedia.

So, Danny’s decided “fuck it.” and has it became a part-time history teacher. It’s fun! He knows the details by heart and is able to make it more fun than just droning on about the same old wars and whatever. He enjoys it, the kids enjoy it and the ghosts having their stories told!

Of course, this does cause some problems when people try to correct him. Danny’s argument? “I got them correct sources.”

And when anyone asks him how knows his sources are correct? “My source was there when it happened.”

Cue the dc world thinking that Danny’s just some immortal guy whose decided to use his immortality for good(TM)

Dragon danny (there’s art too)

Danny comes to possess an amulet like Dorothea’s. Unfortunately, dragon blood comes from his fathers side of the family and being half ghost and in possession of the magic amulet reignites the dormant dragon blood in him turning him into a very real, very half dead dragon.

Right in front of his family.

Even taking off the amulet doesn’t reverse it.

Unfortunately now being both human, ghost and a dragon sets his emotions off which then make his powers go haywire.

Danny fears their reaction and flees into the ghost zone. Only for his powers to get stronger there and for the realms themselves to spit him out into the first dimension that could handle him.

He lands in Gotham, disoriented, lost and afraid. Of course it’s not Gotham unless someone nefarious gets their hands on him.

Months later a new drug hits the market called dragons fury. It enhances a person's magical capabilities and carries a great high but comes with many unpredictable and volatile drawbacks.

Batman and Robin team up with Constantine after finding out that the drug is made with actual dragon's blood. Given the fact that a dragon hasn’t been spotted in the world in a few centuries and each one that had is very powerful. It shouldnt be in drug dealers hands, even if it’s just the blood and not an actual dragon.

Batman and John are speaking to Commissioner Gordon one night while Robin(Damien) patrols close by. Damien comes apon a drug deal and goes to intercept when he notices the target drug being exchanged. Unfortunately the dealer in a magic user and knocks Damien out. Instead of being smart and leaving the user takes Damien back to where they are operating thinking they can use him as leverage.

Damien is somewhat awake by the time he’s being dragged inside a forgotten building and the arguing about what to do with him begins. He can’t get his body to move just yet due to what the magic user used on him and he’s only barely starting to get his feeling back when the group decides what to do with him.

They decided to feed him to the dragon. Confirming the existence of an actual dragon.

Damien is tossed into a concrete cell in the basement of the building. It’s dark and he can’t move to turn on night vision in his mask. yet he can just make out the shape of the walls and the door and the man standing in the way of the dim light coming from the hall behind him. Shadows cover the man’s face obscuring his identity.

The dark and shadows don’t conceal the sound of snapping leather or deep bellowing growls. The sound like a crocodile bellowing mixed with the vicious snarl of a big predatory cat.

From the ceiling drops a dark mass. Body fluid yet coiled and stiff, ready to snap and attack. Not at the prone body laying behind it but the much larger one standing at the door. Teeth barred and poised to attack. Leathery wings spread as far as they could in the tiny cell.

The door slams shut when the long and fluid body lunges. Leaving the beast to slam its weight against it, clawing and snarling before settling with a snort of air. Folding its large wings behind its long body.

It’s hard to see now with the room in almost complete darkness. Light coming through the cracks between the door and its clawed at and scratched frame. That darkness does nothing to hide when the animal turns its attention to Damien.

Wide, toxic green eyes with vertical pupils land on him, if the magic wasn’t still freezing him then those dangerous eyes may have.

Its body moves like a ribbon flowing through the wind. Fluid, smooth and elegant. Scales darker than the room are nestled in fur equally as dark, only broken up by a mane of shockingly white fur that trails down its long neck, between alternating shoulder blades and down the dragon's long body, ending in a puff of fur at the end of its whip-like tail.

It stops in front of Damien lowering its narrow head close to his. Cold breath ghosts over him along with strong whiskers.

Dangerously close yet it doesn’t attack. Instead the dragon seems to check him over for a moment before settling next to him. Putting itself between Damien and the door.

The dragon wasn’t going to attack him it seemed, now all he had to do was wait till he could move so he can escape with his newly acquired friend.

Connor Kent keeps on gushing about his new boyfriend but never says his name. The League needs assistance to stop a ghostly threat and Connor just whips out his phone and calls his boyfriend and holds out his arms as if to catch someone. Lo and behold, The Ghost King drops out of a ghost zone rift directly into Connors's arms bridal style.

Fridged (but only half successfully)

Danny awoke in a cramped, pitch-dark box with the taste of blood in his mouth. It took his brain a few moments to boot up, but then he jerked forward in a panic.

And promptly collapsed unceremoniously to the ground as a side of the box swung open.

A fridge. He had woken up in a fridge.

What hell happened to him last night?

Pushing himself around to sit upright, he grimaced at the sensation of wet fabric clinging to his skin. Glancing downwards at his clothes, he froze. The crimson stains covering the entire front of his body were impossible to misidentify. He was soaked in blood.

Fuck, this wasn’t gonna be something he could just ignore, was it. He let his head thunk back against the fridge, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath as he cast his mind backwards.

The last thing he remembered was flopping into bed in his shitty Gotham apartment after finishing a voice call with his significant other. An apartment he was definitely no longer in. So what the hell had happened to get him here?

Suddenly, his introspection was interrupted by a figure crashing in through the window. One of the bats, who then completely froze up upon taking in Danny’s slumped form.

A horrified whisper left their lips. “Danny…?”

imagine you and your wife get poisoned by a cult and when you wake up not only do you find out your wife didn’t make it but also billionaire playboy philanthropist Bruce Wayne is actively stealing your son. your boy’s not even home half the time when you get back because he’s always at Mr Wayne’s place. getting picked up by his butler. Bruce Wayne knows your son’s school life better than you do. pretty sure he’s got his report card hanging up on the fridge and everything.

“oh you’re just being dramatic Bruce Wayne isn’t actually stealing your son—”

wrong! not even 2 seconds after your death and guess who’s getting adopted by Bruce Wayne. that’s his son now. dude straight up stole your son.

DPxDC Prompt: Phantom is the first hero. 

Phantom first appeared when Batman was a mere ghost story on Gotham streets and Superman was just a few rumors of a floating guy in Kansas. 

He showed up on a broadcast for the new musician literally the entire world was obsessed with.

Some strange glowing kid beat up the lead singer and sucked her up in into a thermos, leaving everyone dazed and confused. He left before the audience could gain their bearings and process that they’d just been mind-controlled into practically worshiping what’s-her-face moments ago. 

Not a couple of weeks later, the Mayor of Amity claimed on live television that Phantom was kidnapping, and he quickly became a controversial figure. 

Was he just some kid trying his best to save the people of Amity from ghosts or was he a super-powered individual running around using his abilities to parade around, showing off willy-nilly regardless of the casualties?

Lawmakers in the US started arguing over ghosts— over Phantom entirely. There was no precedent. They started passing laws that would later be the foundation for many Meta hate laws. (Laws the Justice League would have a hell of a time dismantling.) 

Meanwhile, someone takes it into their own hands to put a million-dollar bounty on Phantom. 

No one stopped to think that they are hunting a hero— that Phantom helped exponentially more than he hurt. The only thing standing in between the destruction of Amity and peace was one young teenager, and very few people seemed offended by the prospect. 

Phantom avoided the bounty hunters and went on a robbery spree—seemingly to prove he couldn’t be stopped. 

A few weeks later, Amity disappeared in its entirety for three days— not entirely a surprise, something like that happened— and came back with battle scars and footage of The Ghost boy (invis-o-bill) declaring his name to be Phantom before storming off to fight the evil ghost king. 

The controversies kept coming:

Phantom is ruining Christmas. Phantom is controlling the weather. The entirety of Amity Park is falling asleep. 

Regardless, Phantom became so popular he was a household name. He had fans— mostly in Amity– and reached the height of popularity when he defeated a powerful plant ghost that took over most of the Midwest with a smirk and a snappy comeback. 

Then the Mayor of Amity– a new guy– hired a group of ghost hunters called “Masters Blasters”.

The group had some things Phantom never did: Training, financial backing, a media presence from day one, better tech, Zany personalities and, least controversial of all, they were all entirely human. 

For months, they took down ghost after ghost, dwindling down the ghost population to a mere handful while Phantom struggled to keep up. 

The last video of Phantom includes him accusing the Masters Blasters of something unspoken— that he “knew what they were doing with the ghosts.” He wasn’t happy about it. The petty rivalry quickly turned into a battle. 

The people of Amity quickly became more resentful of the people charging them for their services and fighting their local hero. They were quickly chased out of town.  

But Phantom was never seen again.

None of the ghosts that once populated Amity were ever seen again. 

There was no backup for Phantom. No paranoid bats checking up on their fellow heroes. Three years after his initial debut, Phantom – and just about every ghost-related thing faded into obscurity as Metas took the scene. 

There were wonderful American themed superheroes saving the world from Alien threats and Phantom was quickly forgotten in the rise of the Justice League.  

Over the next decade, hundreds of heroes will emerge worldwide, and the public will soon learn a lot about how heroes operate. 

They will see what teen heroes normally look like– what they look like when they have support and when they don’t. When they’re clearly sleep deprived and overwhelmed and trying their best. They see heroes when theyre mind controlled and scared and hiding injuries. 

Too little too late for Phantom. 

Bonus (optional):

Years later: Batman had more mentees(kids) than anyone can keep track of, Superman had two super boys. Teen heroes were abundant and the Justice League has been established for well over a decade. 

If anyone asks the first hero was Wonder Woman— she was around during the World Wars, wasn’t she? And if not, it must have been Superman for saving Metropolis in his first well-broadcast appearance. 

Through one mishap or another they ended up in the realm between worlds and find themselves in a throne room made up of creepy gothic architecture. skeletons of the undead lined the walls and figures with one big eyeball for heads stared at them from where they huddled in groups along the outlets of the room. 

A boy sat on an uncomfortable throne of stone, wearing kingly regalia for someone much larger than himself. His crown rested around his neck like a spiked collar, a glowing green chain connected from the crown to the floor. 

He had dull, glowing green eyes and limp snow-white hair. The boy hadn’t aged a day since his first appearance yet still changed so much. 

He wasn’t surly or contemptuous like how he is remembered. Rather, Phantom was quick to provide them with a way back home and thank the heroes for taking care of Earth while he was gone. 

He smiled derisively at the hero's concern, revealing that there had been an asteroid— one that he couldn’t get rid of using his usual abilities. He sold his soul for the crown and ring, gaining enough power to divert the Asteroid’s path. 

He had infinite powers at his finger tips and the price was that he was being run ragged trying to solve petty disputes and fight cosmic horrors while his “council” delighted in the power of the throne without any of the responsibility.

Oogie Boogie

Danny is bored and so he begins speaking nonsense into the little pits in the ghost zone not knowing that they are connected to the DC universe via Lazarus pits.

One day as Ra's, Al Ghul is around the pits. He hears an echo. Curious he follows the echo to its source. As he gets colder he realizes that the source of the sounds are coming from the Lazarus pits. He leans in, concentrating on what the pits seem to be muttering.

...Oogie Boogie... woobie Boogie... boogie boogie...

Personal Bad JuJu Filtration System

Crime Alley's crime rate was down. Not just down. but down down. Practically nonexistent down. The smog was even less prevalent in the area. They had revitalized several parks and turned a few abandoned lots into new ones. Some residents had gotten together and fixed up a few of the run down buildings, purchased for pennies on the Dollar. Other had made public food gardens. Businesses were opening in the area. They got their first Starbucks last week and Dominos was looking to open a store there. Shoprite and Spouts were in a bidding war over a permit to renovate a building for a new grocery store. The local high school just sent its first kid to an Ivy League. Recruiters were showing up to their sporting events to scout talent for D1 schools.

Things were looking up. Even the Red Hood seemed to be turning more into a Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman type than a crime lord.

Batman was suspicious. Was it a new rogue? Lulling them into a false sense of security before taking over? Was someone mind controlling all the citizens for some reason? Someone that powerful must be stopped.

On the other side of the city one Danny Fenton is knee deep in planting some tomato's while helping a local kid with their math homework and giving an impromptu lecture on Andromeda. One Jason Todd in the next bed over nodding along while planting squash. There's a small crowd gathered. As they often did these days. Everyone feeling just a little better when they were close by.

In those fics where Danny kills (or permanently maims/gets rid of) the joker on accident (or any random person who kills the joker honestly) his street name should be “punchline.”

Bc a Punchline is the end of a Joke.

Better if this is a world where ghosts fight for fun and stuff so Danny will also throw down with Grundy and Croc and Red Hood. He’ll fight random goons too, but he goes easy on them. Everyone knows he does. Like a mama cat play fighting with kittens.

“There goes Punchline, throwing hands. He’s down for a brawl but don’t cross The Line. Don’t make him mad. He earned that name.”
