as i've been referencing, i am combining all of my blogs into one big multimuse because as it stands, i do not have the time and energy to do multiple blogs. i'm sorry if this is a little annoying for some people, but i'm hopeful this will mean that i will have better and more consistent activity going forward!

i do plan on keeping all my threads, though i might be selective with what asks i carry over.

you are very brain celled. what's it like knowing you have all these brain cells and none of them work? my guess is only up to 5 can work at a time. still rude though. leave some for the rest of us.

"Yes. And just—maybe don't leave a literal trail that might indicate your...current situation." Not that any sort of argument of discretion as appealed to them historically, but it's worth mentioning. And yes, while Addy is looking for potential solutions, she is also, as always, anticipating the worst. That if they get some answer of how to fix it, others might interfere, that people might take advantage of Junior being in a bit of a vulnerable position at the moment, that they won't stop it at all. She's unwilling to humor the idea that maybe the curse will still just be fine—she's heard stories of the skeleton lords too, and again, she's not going to trust that they can reasonably predict the effects of the curse. Especially since...well, if she was going to curse her enemies, probably the first step of her plan would be to mess with the curse to have the worst effects possible.

She is, at least, somewhat pleasantly surprised that Junior makes at least some effort to hide the indications of who their father is. Without the context, it almost looks like they might have learned something. Again, she keeps her answers somewhat short, although this time it's because she's already running through what she's planning on asking the Order, "Yeah, maybe."

Although she doesn't find the Order tents particularly enjoyable a mix of the suspicion that comes with magic, the oppressive environment of the tents, and her general dislike of the companies, she doesn't register Junior's reaction. She's too occupied observing the woman giving them the information, and of course, she's busy asking as many questions as she thinks she can get away with.

When they leave the tent, Addy takes a few steps away before letting out a slight scoff, "They're probably just trying to see if they can stall until you're too far gone." It had all seemed honest enough, sure, but that doesn't mean there can't still be other motives. Still, after a pause, she does finally register their demeanor, "Are you alright?"

"Is it?" Just a few weeks ago they'd have agreed, but something about the pirate life has clicked something in their head. Just a bit of flesh, just a curse, it's solvable. And if anything, there are skeletons that keep their mind, right? Papa told them of skeleton lords, they kept being themselves. Cap'n seemed eloquent enough.

This time it seems Junior exercises some form of caution. The flameheart symbols are tucked away from view, just the vague, faint smell of fire and gunpowder from the old coat that arguably, most pirates already reek of to tell them apart as to who they might be. "This could be a fun adventure."

They nod and part the curtains to the Order of Souls tent for Addy to step in, following soon after. The air is thick with the incense and the smoke, and Junior has to put a sleeve to their face not to break into a cough- the tent packed so full of magic items that their ears are immediately ringing; same bothersome noise that made them avoid their room back at the estate like the plague. All the trinkets papa would bring them would end up there, and the nights were unbearable.

"Hello, what do you need?" She looks at them up and down, subtly raising an eyebrow.

"Information on the skeleton curse. Specifically if there's a way to stop or reverse it." Junior hums, eyes drifting to the bottles of kraken ink. If there is, why would the Order of Souls share that information? After all, their business is skeleton hunting. They'd become just another target, as long as their memories were useful....
