Recently I've been reading through a compilation of "Great English Detective Stories" and it's pissing me off. There are far too many stories in this collection that are just the description of a murder or a story of a death with a murder twist at the end.

This may be a hot take, but if your story does not have a satisfying resolution to the mystery, it is not a mystery story, it is a suspense/horror story.
