Shoutout to Snape
Shoutout to Snape for not only being a double-triple-quadruple agent and successfully deceiving the most powerful Dark Wizard of all time, but doing so all while designing and maintaining a strict educational curriculum set to Ministry of Magic standards and grading the half-assed assignments of a bunch of angsty teenagers.
I could barely manage to balance my Netflix binging with my weekly English essays.

There’s been a few people here and there in the tags trying to start ship discourse but…
Yall seem to forget that eddie/venom are canon in the comics… this is pretty much basic level Venom lore
Venom declares their love for Eddie:
Eddie talks to someone about being in a relationship with Venom and how much he loves it:
They consider each other married:
They’ve considered each other marred since the 1990 comics:
Yet another discussion on their romantic relationship:
Eddie considers Venom his long time romantic partner:
They go on movie dates with each other and hold hands!!!:
…This scene:
Um…. anyways, heart chocolates:
They call each other pet names CONSTANTLY:
The ending to one of the comics has a heart symbol and the classic ‘fairy tale’ ending:
Speaking of the heart ending, they consider their entire story in the comics to be a love story
I just… do I need to explain further?
They’ve also canonically given birth to a symbiote child before and raised it together until it went off on its own. Yep. They had a child together.
Anyways…. symbrock is canon. And it has been since 1990 when they first considered themselves married and in a relationship.
(sources: everything from Venom 1990 to the most recent Venom comics)

Since once in a blue moon I actually discover a decent rule for adulting, and since I know I have followers a few years younger than me who are just entering the workforce, I want to tell you about a very important phrase.
“I won’t be available.”
Imagine you’re at work and your boss asks you to come in on Saturday. Saturday is usually your day off–coming in Saturdays is not an obligation to keep your job. Maybe you were going to watch a movie with a friend, or maybe you were just going to lie in bed and eat ice cream for eight hours, but either way you really, really don’t want to give up your day off.
If you consider yourself a millennial you’ve probably been raised to believe you need to justify not being constantly at work. And if you’re a gen-Z kid you’re likely getting the same toxic messages that we did. So in a situation like that, you might be inclined to do one of three things:
Tell your boss you’d rather not give up your day off. Cave when they pressure you to come in anyway, since you’re not doing anything important.
Tell your boss you’d rather not give up your day off. Over-apologize and worry that you looked bad/unprofessional.
Lie and say you’ve got a doctor’s appointment or some other activity that feels like an adequate justification for not working.
The fact is, it doesn’t matter to your boss whether you’re having open heart surgery or watching anime in your underwear on Saturday. The only thing that affects them is the fact that you won’t be at work. So telling them why you won’t be at work only gives them reason to try and pressure you to come in anyway.
If you say “I won’t be available,” giving no further information, you’d be surprised how often that’s enough. Be polite and sympathetic in your tone, maybe even say “sorry, but I won’t be available.” But don’t make an excuse. If your boss is a professional individual, they’ll accept that as a ‘no’ and try to find someone else.
But bosses aren’t always professional. Sometimes they’re whiny little tyrants. So, what if they pressure you further? The answer is–politely and sympathetically give them no further information.
“Are you sure you’re not available?” “Sorry, but yes.”
“Why won’t you be available?” “I have a prior commitment.” (Which you do, even if it’s only to yourself.)
“What’s your prior commitment?” “Sorry, but that’s kind of personal.”
“Can you reschedule it?” “I’m afraid not. Maybe someone else can come in?”
If you don’t give them anything to work with, they can’t pressure you into going beyond your obligations as an employee. And when they realize that, they’ll also realize they have to find someone else to come in and move on.

listen I know that venom isn’t technically in the MCU but I can’t stop thinking about Grown Adult Eddie Brock meeting High Schooler Peter Parker in the Avengers for the first time and not having any bad history with him and just immediately adopting him????

I’m sorry for spamming you guys, but MORE PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW THAT YOU CAN GET A JOB ONLINE REALLY EASILY TEACHING ENGLISH:
https://www.dadaabc.com/teacher/landing?referrer=T2n0N5h3r405
(Do check the original post for the link as it expires)
It pains me to know that a lot of you are staying in toxic/abusive situations due to financial reasons. A lot of you are financially dependent on a toxic person and so leaving just isn’t possible. BUT LET ME TELL YOU RIGHT NOW - you can make $23-$34/hour ($16-$25 USD) literally from home just by helping adorable little kids learn English. Which is huge if you are trying to leave a bad situation.
Others of you might need more time to work on your mental health and can’t make it in to work. This job is perfect because it’s low stress and you don’t even have to leave home so you have plenty of time for yourself. Plus you still get that good, productive feeling and can support yourself while you work on your health. Please get this out there for anyone who might need it!!!!
P.S. Do be aware that if you use the link it does help me out (my struggling student status thanks you ❤️)

I’m seriously dissapointed on this fandom after the reaction to the whole Nagini controversia. Look, people can like or dislike human Nagini, some people love it, some people hate it, personally I’m not a big fan. That’s ok, we all have different opinions. What is not ok is how people are bashing JKR over this. I have read abusive tweets/post/status, I remember one where they call her a fcking dumbass. Like, she is the creator of the saga, we don’t have to like everything she does, but we owe her some respect as a human and as the author. Without her we wouldn’t have the HP universe! What disturbs me the most it that some people start with “I have been in this fandom since the first book came out”. If they were old enought to be fans in 1998, they are adults. What kind of adult send hate to an author because said author added something they don’t like to the saga?
