for any fellow hnk fans starved of content (which is probably most of us) i recommend Parasyte!

It has a lot of similar themes (becoming more/less human, coping with grief, how trauma can change you, starting as a Babie and turning into a badass, body horror)

It can get pretty gory (it is a horror anime) but if that doesn’t bother you, i highly suggest it. It also has a very sweet romance subplot that I adored.
