the boy would rub his eyes from the slightly LAYING down position he took on the other’s bunk. “it’s like , we’re really sitting here and asking to be scared.” nico now had one eye squinted , head turned ( s u b t l y ) away from the screen as if to disengage his attention from the movie. he’d never admit it— though, it’s DOUBTFUL he’d even have to with the way every little noise startled him— but horror movies terrify him.

𝙷𝙴 𝚃𝚁𝙸𝙴𝙳 𝙷𝙸𝚂 𝙱𝙴𝚂𝚃 𝙽𝙾𝚃 to laugh ( okay, not really, as evident by jayden’s constant snickering ), curled up next to his bunk mate. but it was amusing to see nico losing his cool after every few passing moments in the film. it seemed every single breath a character took CHILLED him to his bones. for jayden, it was merely entertaining. he had never understood what was so scary about horror movies. ❝ you think ? they’ve never bothered me. but i guess i can see the appeal of being scared. ❞ normally, he would say ❛ that’s stupid ❜ but being back in the place that terrified him for years had forced him to change his outlook.

𝐔𝐒𝐔𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐏𝐄𝐎𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐒𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐓 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘 𝐒𝐄𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐑. sloane’s presence was almost always accompanied by the fragrance of marijuana. at the moment, the scent was extra strong as she had just finished a lakeside joint, what was left now stomped out on the ground. the pink-haired stoner was peacefully staring out at the water when she heard footsteps not far. assuming it was someone who also working at the camp, sloane quickly gasgped, pointing out at the water. “oh shit, did you see that?“ her shocked expression only stayed for a moment. "nah, i’m just kidding. i just think it’s funny how jumpy people are out here.”

𝙸𝚁𝚁𝙸𝚃𝙰𝙱𝙻𝙴 &​ 𝚃𝙸𝚁𝙴𝙳, 𝙹𝙰𝚈𝙳𝙴𝙽 𝚆𝙰𝚂 not in the most sociable mood. he hated both nature & long car rides, so his spirits were truly in the dumps ( not that he was that much nicer any other time ). when he approached the lake in an attempt to find some quality alone time, he didn’t expect anyone else to be there, let alone blazing it up. a bout of airy laughter escaped him, finding the smell more enticing than anything else.  ❝ oh man. you got me ! ❞ his tone was dry, clearly more attracted to the water than the conversation at hand. ❝ i never thought i’d see this lake again. WILD, huh ? also... kind of rude of you not to share, don’t you think ? ❞

𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐘‌:

the  pool  was  a  nice  new  amenity  .  the  brunette  is  lost  in  her  thoughts  as  she  slowly  removed  the  bathrobe  that  she  had  worn  on  top  of  her  swimsuit  .  it’s  quiet  too  ,  untainted  by  the  yells  &  whoops  (  and  pee  )  of  the  children  that  will  be  filling  it  soon  .  slowly  ,  she  skims  her  toe  over  the  surface  of  the  water  ,  savoring  the  chill  .  a  door  opens  distantly  &  missy  turns  ,  an  expression  of  shock  on  her  face  as  she  steps  back  from  the  pool  .  ’  my  mistake  .  i  didn’t  think  that  anyone  was  going  to  come  in  here  .  ’  she  tries  not  to  let  disappointment  cover  her  features  but  she  had  wanted  a  chance  to  think  of  what  she  had  seen  in  the  treeline  .

𝙷𝙸𝚂 𝙼𝙸𝙽𝙳 𝚆𝙰𝚂 𝚃𝙴𝚁𝚁𝙸𝙱𝙻𝙴 𝙰𝚃 staying quiet. constantly churning, the only way to keep thoughts from crawling up the base of his spine was to find a distraction. & stuck out here, in the middle of nowhere, the lone respite he could find was burying himself deep into fitness. even the first night was too much for his nerves to handle (  ❛ nothing has even happened yet, you fuckin’ pussy, ❜ he’d chide ). he wanted to check out the pool anyway, thinking hoping that maybe the icy water against his skin would slap some sense into him. instead, he found his self-proclaimed GIRL from a decade ago. the breath got caught in jayden’s throat, as he saw the bathing suit clad former crush, lips pursing & nervously chewed on in response.  ❝ h-hey―  ❞ he blabbed out like an idiot. he wasn’t going to be able to get rid of any overbearing thoughts tonight it seemed.

𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃𝐈𝐄‌:

faye walked through the grass, annoyed. she’d been slapping away bugs the entire time she’d been here. though she used to come every summer, it had been way too long– she couldn’t remember anything. she was searching for her cabin, scratching spots on her arms. “jesus,” she said to the person walking next to her. “i didn’t come here to be eaten alive by mosquitoes.”

𝙷𝙴 𝙷𝙰𝙳 𝙶𝚁𝙾𝚆𝙽 𝙵𝙰𝚁 𝚃𝙾𝙾 accustomed to city living. the idea of being stuck in the wilderness ( even worse, the MUGGY wilderness ) was almost too much to bear. but jayden had priorities, though the bites lining his exposed limbs made him reconsider momentarily. ❝ i don’t think they actually care what you came here for. this is probably the BIGGEST feast they’ve had in years, ❞ he quipped, a small amused grin curling upon his lips, before reaching up to slap at a filthy bloodsucker floating teasingly in front of his face.

“So, the ride out here gave me plenty of time to think, and I’ve had a mind blowing epiphany. Harmonicas…are sexy.” Said as though she’d just discovered the cure to the common cold. “Think about it. Harmonica talent equals breath control and skill with one’s mouth. I think I’ve made my case. Harmonicas are sexy.”

𝙴𝚈𝙴𝚂 𝚆𝙸𝙳𝙴𝙽𝙴𝙳 𝙸𝙽 𝚁𝙴𝚂𝙿𝙾𝙽𝚂𝙴, 𝚂𝙻𝙾𝚆𝙻𝚈 blinking as information began sinking in. had she really just said that ? dismissively, jayden sniffed, a lone thought dedicated to wondering if medda had gotten into his secret stash of edibles somehow. but he decided to entertain the conversation, ODD as it may be. ❝ i mean... i guess. if you find lots of slobber hot. wouldn’t that make saxophones sexy too ? i feel like that should be the last thing to be considered sexy, ❞ he snickered to himself.

hello ! you can call me rocket or rocky or w.e. you want really. i’m excited to start writing with everyone ! i love this plot so much i already know i’m gonna have a great time building connections with all of you. this is my traumatized son jayden ( or jay ). he’s what you might call feral ? run into it ! he thrives off it & purposefully seeks it out ! but if there was any actual harmful danger ( such as running into a killer ), he’d try to fight before running away.

he’s self-centered, selfish, arrogant, stubborn, insensitive & he can’t listen worth a damn.

he has a childish fear of camp silver lake. he’s pretty convinced that something is going to happen to him. he’s aware that he’s a paranoid person after everything but he can feel something ominous being near the camp again.
