possibly very specific to my autism hyperempathy braincell but despite being very, very creeped out by dolls (of people, animal dolls and clowns are cute) i still cant possibly bring myself to be mean to them or not treat them gently

like im very spooked being alone in a room with a doll and as a kid i had one that i was given super young that was supposed to look like an older version of me or something. and i always had to make sure it wasnt ‘seeing’ me at night or id get scared but…. even then i would sit them down nicely and i felt terrible just putting them in the closet in the dark… so i made a little corner for the doll instead so it wouldnt . get… sad?

idk even as a kid i never believed objects or places were haunted by ghosts but i VERY firmly believed they would “get sad” and then possibly angry if i wasnt nice to them. i saw so many other kids be violent to dolls and it would make me cry or feel even a little nauseous when it happened no matter how much dolls scare me
