This week I have done quite a bit of work. I finished all my research, my first draft of the writing and the citations. I know now I will likely be ready for the twelfth.
Sorry for forgetting to update prior to this. Right now I am a tiny bit behind, I am working on gathering information so I can compile it in a readable manner I can get myself back on track by starting to work a little on weekends.
The art that I am creating will answer the following question: How do our organs connect to the nerves in our body? The art will answer the question by showing the direct connections of all the organs in our body to our nervous system. While researching for the art piece, I learned that instead of having just one connection to our spinal cord and nervous system all our organs have two or more. I also learned that there are four main types of nerves. Central nerves that connect areas within the spinal cord and/or brain, cranial nerves that connect our sensory organs (Eyes, ears, mouth, nose etc.), automatic nerves which connect the rest of the organs to the brain and spinal cord, and finally the peripheral nerves that connect the limbs to the brain and spinal cord. My art will take the form of a mobile of sorts. It will consist of different organs hanging off wires that will represent nerves that are all attached to a spinal cord in the very centre of the piece. The spinal cord will also be attached to a brain. All of it will be hanging from a rod and a series of strings connected to the rod. The rod will be attached to a hook that will, when presented, be hanging off the ceiling or a post. Along with the asked question, this can also explain how spinal cord injuries affect the functions of our organs and limbs. The art piece will be made with mixed media.
One thing that I find cool about the human body is that we can make more than 500 different phonemes ( any of the perceptually distinct units of sound in a specified language that distinguish one word from another). Like i, n or m, if you count changes in volume and pitch the number is infinite. One thing that I want to know about the human body is what sounds are made inside, obviously I know that the heart makes a thump thump but what other noises are made inside our body.
This week we decided to try and donate o the homeless while at a program at Collingwood Neighbourhood House We have also tried to contact the coordinator of the program. Things are really looking up now we have decided a decidedly less risky way of donating. Now there is an even wider range of people we are giving to.
We finally got to do something this week. We went to Wal-Mart to buy some sick and bars. We have also decided on giving them out in a safer area. I personally also got some toothbrush and toothpaste donations from my father's dentist. Sorry this is late. Technical difficulties.
We have been just planning for future weeks when we are all ready to by socks. We are almost done selling everything and have enough money for everything (Socks and bars). Still hopeful to get this done by Christmas.
This week we almost finished collected money. That’s about it. With this weeks collecting I believe we have enough money for everything we need. I am confident we will do everything that is on our calendar.
Bam Bam Bam. Steven knocked at the door to his house. He was greeted by his brother, Bob “You forgot your keys again?” he said “Ya, sorry about that” Steven replied as he walked in. He went into the kitchen and he “realized” (Got told by Bob) he forgot to take out the garbage. After being reminded to grab his keys, that is. He got back with his groceries, well groceries minus apples. Later that week in school he realized he didn’t bring his homework and, since it was his tenth time without it he was suspended. He tried to remember by recording everything it on his phone, but he kept on forgetting to charge it. Then he tried asking Bob for some help but by the time he got home he had forgotten all the assignments. This went on with Steven trying to find new ways to remember, none worked.
About a week later when he was walking home from his school everything suddenly turned black, he wasn’t dead he was just transported to a place and out of place and time. He heard a big powerful voice, it said “Hello Steven I am the universe and I have taken notice in you. You are very forgetful and I would like to help with that every time you forget something you will be lightly electrocuted”. The he got teleported back to his walk. When he got home He was asked “Where were you, you should’ve been home an hour ago”. Steven replied, “Hmm I don’t remember”. ZAP.
Last week Lucas,Eli and I went to Walmart and bought candy. We then sold it at a profit. We haven't got all yet but once we do we will have enough money to get everything we need for everything. We plan to use the money to buy “Christmas Sockings” for the homeless. I feel like this is going smoothly and we will be able to hand them out as scheduled.
How you play monkey. Monkey is a game which is kind of like Ultimate and kind of like capture the flag. So you set up with capture the flag boundaries (Rectangle of medium size) and an end zone like in football on either side. In these end zones Set up 5 cones or bowls of some sort and 5 Frisbees on either side. There can be a lot of players as long as the sides are even. How you score is get someone to run to the other teams side and catch a Frisbee then hit acone with it. (pictured here)
This may be difficult though because if a Frisbee hits the ground it is the other teams and you may not pick it up (Unless it lands on your side). If you catch a Frisbee you may not move and must throw it to someone else on you team or touch a cone. You may move around with a Frisbee on your side though. If you do manage to touch a cone with the Frisbee you may pick up the cone and leave the Frisbee in it’s place and walk back. Congratulations you have scored a point. Whoever has all of the cones at once, or the most when you need to stop, wins. And THAT is how YOU play Monkey.
So... I’m a debater (Entp A). As soon as I saw the name I knew it was right. I debate a lot. To us it’s fun pitting our knowledge against theirs and seeing who is correct and stretching my mental limits. This is also explained in the article relating to the test. It also says that we enjoy being underdogs witch is true. if you are wondering why I’m saying “We” it’s because my best friend is to! maybe that has something to do with why we are friends. Anyways I think being a “Debater” is pretty cool, and even cooler because my friend is too.
This is Mr. Georgopus. He is my pet rock. He represents me in many ways He has my hair, for one. He also has eyes like me. Another way we are similar is that he is always smiling and I think I’m a pretty upbeat and happy guy. He has no personality, He’s inanimate, so no connections there but he looks to me like a pretty funny rock like me. Except I’m a human.
