Indian filmmaker Nila Madhab Panda's Halkaa Movie became the world premiere at the 21st Montreal Film Festival (FIFEM). In the movie Mohotsav, it won the 'Grand Prix de Montreal' award. This film is selected from seven different country films based on children. Ranvir Shorey and 'Hate Story' movie Actress Paoli Dam have played the lead role in the film.

Director Nila Madhab Panda said, "It is a matter of great pride that the film got the top award at the world premiere." He told that the film has already received an invitation for screening at six international film festivals.

The film is based on the bravery, fantasies, and dreams of a child who lives in slum areas. The name of the lead character of the movie is called Pichku. Pichku fights in the open with all the problems including defecation, which he has to face every day. His dream is that he has made himself a restroom where his privacy does not have any interference.

Filmmaker Nil Madhav Panda said, "India is a country with a very young population, but we hardly make films on children. He said that the movie 'Halkaa' can be called a sequel of his national award-winning film 'I Am Kalam'. The director said that this film is a family entertainer whose music has been prepared by a trio of Shankar, Ehsaan, and Loy.

The film 'Halkaa' was shot in the slum area of Pragati Maidan in Delhi. The film set was set near Indraprastha metro station. Two people living in this slum also got the chance to work in the film.
