Another step towards glory, Asha-Azad Production’s Four Films got nominated
Times have changed and short films, today have found a huge market for themselves. However, it is also the film festivals that have begun taking this format very seriously. After winning almost 20 awards at various film festivals in India and Internationally, Suveer Bhambhani’s two films – Dad, David & Danny and Chhotu both see light at the 11thDada Saheb Phalke Film Festival – 21. Both the films have been nominated at this prestigious film festival under the Best-Short film category. Suveer Bhambhani is one of the finest acting coaches in the country and now aspires to tell stories through medium of cinema. His strength lies in portraying human emotions so beautifully which makes Dad, David and Danny and Chhotu both a part of this esteemed film festival.
Alongside these two films directed by Suveer Bhambhani, two other films “You changed Me” and “Suta(The Daughter)”have also been selected for 11thDada Saheb Phalke Film Festival - 21 that have been produced by Asha-Azad films.
“Suta- the daughter” is a family drama that speaks volumes about how a daughter sets right the unseen dysfunction between her parents. 'Suta (The Daughter)' has become a meaningful reason for Asha-Azad Films to climb another step of success, as the film has achieved immense success and has won the Special Jury Award at the Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival. To double the morale and rejuvenate the mind, the daughter-based film 'Suta (The Daughter)' is a family drama that tells about how a daughter would fix her unheard sag between her parents. The film has been appreciated by a large number of viewers and it is available on Hotstar.
On the other hand, “You changed Me”explores the relationship between a cab driver and his passenger and tells the audience that sometimes relationships like these can also leave a huge impact on you.
While Dad, David and Danny is serious drama, Chhotu is a light hearted, feel good film. However, both these films leave you thinking. Both these films have been directed by Suveer Bhambhani and produced by Asha-Azad Films, an independent production company from Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
Dad, David and Danny is a dramatic tale that revolves around the fractured relationship Tony shares with his son David and how Danny, their pet made all the difference. What makes this film interesting is the experimental format of the screenplay divided into chapters, with no dialogues but a gripping narration by the actor Rituraj Singh. The highlight of the film is the stellar performance by Dr(ER). Azad Jain, who also happens to be the founder of Asha-Azad Films. The actor underwent rigorous training and hours of workshop to achieve the different stages of life portrayed in the film. His performance in the film is outstanding.
Alongside Azad Jain are Anuj Singh Duhan and Nandini Patel who have very effortlessly portrayed the layers in the respective characters in such a short time. While Anuj Singh Duhan plays the hot-headed David, Nandini Patel essays the role of a sensitive hooker who ends up falling in love. Suveer Bhambhani in duration of 20 minutes takes you through a roller-coaster ride of emotions making this film worth a watch!
Also presented by Asha-Azad films and directed by Suveer Bhambhani comes another short film titled CHHOTU that has made its way to the 11th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival.
Chhotu is a coming of age drama that revolves around Yogi, a stressed small-town man in his late 50's played by the versatile DR.(Er). Azad Jain again. Yogi’s unusual encounter with a strange child takes his life to turn. The child (Chhotu) is mysterious but somehow is the answer to Yogi's life problems. With such interesting plot, Chhotu also becomes an attention-grabbing tale to watch.
Asha-Azad films for sure a proving to be a production house that creates meaningful cinema. We wish this talented team a very good luck!

Humans are moving away from humanity, By – Atul Malikram, Founder, PR 24×7
With changing times humans have also changed, in many ways. With the changing times the world is also moving on and adopting modern social standards and means, but moving away from their actual origin of being human beings.
From being a socially responsible character humans have changed their personality to being hu-means, one who have become mean, self acknowledging and people who live with the regressive behavior of ‘Might is Right’. Learning to live with this competitive world and proving individual worth Humans have inculcated the habit of being pickers and opportunists to find mistake in others existence and the work they do.
Being mean is not only a bad habit but a curse to making however living in the society we exist today and the competition with ‘Survival of the fittest’ is the soul motive. However, brutal but true this is that today’s humans exist human beings don’t.
The generation today is factor of their individual soul, thinking of what’s right/wrong is their own choice with limited thought process is the reality that is faced by today’s generation. On the other hand, if we talk about having faith, humans today are neither true nor trustworthy.
Today if you go to seek individual opinions a person would rather believe an unknown than their own family/friends/relatives. This is surprising but true, that today’s generation want to stay away from everyone, however there is no restriction or problem of love and care but still living on someone’s guidelines is always difficult specially when a person has a stand for himself and is self-sufficient.
Whenever a celebrity promotes a product or service, people are eager to buy it. But when a relative or friend of ours starts a new business, how often do we think in taking his product or service, we research it, judge it, and finally ensure not being a regular customer for it. Taking out negatives is easier than saying ‘yes, you can do it’.
One question that keeps popping up my mind, all the times, I’d like to put out here, Why we blindly believe in people whom we have never met, whom we do not even know well, who are already living a life full of amenities vis-à-vis people who live the same life as us or say that we have millions of reasons for not supporting our loved ones. Actually if we go out and measure reality these are mere excuses, yes! Just excuses. Why don’t we for once question ourselves what are we doing? Why don’t we understand that we are pushing our own people backwards? How can we trust a stranger more than our loved ones? Why are we not able to make this belief towards our loved ones?
Think, about it… when you have some time for self-analysis The Vocal for Local Campaign launched by the Prime Minister contains all the answers to these questions. We must go ahead and promote this initiative and do something good for bringing back the flavor of oneness and humanity amongst our people. When someone starts a new job, weaves thousands of dreams, the affection from their loved ones doubles but with the urge to work.
This is the time when your oneness and companionship works to boost their courage, and they find a way to touch new heights. Even if you do not need that product or service at that very point in time, but it is always advisible to extend a hand of support to other people to maintain humanity and goodwill. It is a humble request, whenever a relative or friend posts about their business, do not forget to like, share and comment. Encourage them and their efforts, be a part of their journey and promote it together.

On the work front, I have been longing to get back into my character of Vibhuti Narayan and entertain my viewers. A lot of fans had been telling me how much they love our show and have been binge-watching it. I am eager to go back to my earlier routine. We have been briefed thoroughly by the production team on the shooting guidelines and precautions.  They are leaving no stone unturned to ensure everyone adheres to social distancing norms, wears masks when not on camera, alongside maintaining high-standards of sanitation on-sets.”

I am eager to get back to my normal routine and excited to meet the entire cast after such a long gap. Of course, going forward, we will have to take a lot of precautions on set, but the show must go on.”

Ramakrishna Mission Schools in Gwalior become the first in India to go online
Keeping in mind the student safety and urgency for continuity in education Ramakrishna Mission schools adapt online school system from Notebook
Ramakrishna Mission CBSE and Ramakrishna Mission MPBSE schools in Gwalior started their academic session in June by going completely online. Ramakrishna Mission has collaborated with Notebook as a content provider where every school session will be conducted online, and the students can study from their home. They will not be coming physically to school till further notice as the timings for regular classes online will be from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm. All are well aware of the seriousness of COVID-19 fallout, even if their ward comes to school on a 50% student’s basis. Hence the facility of online teaching is in place.Since the lockdown of schools due to the coronavirus pandemic, a number of schools have been conducting some classes online, but Ramakrishna Mission schools at Gwaliorbecame the first schools to take its entire school system online.
Announcing this decision, Swami Supradiptananda, Principal, RKM CBSE, and Director RKM, MPBSE stated, "COVID – 19 is a fearful surprise for humanity. We were compelled to explore a solution to minimize the damage to students’ academic performance. To conduct regular classes is the only solution. But how to conduct it? To suggest parents to send their ward to school even on 50% attendance basis will continue the anxious atmosphere among all. All these ground realities led us to think seriously to bring the whole school system online. The Notebook has extended free of cost support by making content available. Students and teachers have free access to videos and resource materials. We are really grateful to Notebook, who conducted a series of webinars which helps our teachers to upgrade themselves, develop confidence, and be ready to face the challenge. By now, we are well in command through the use of online solutions in this current pandemic situation. The Management, Teachers, Students, Parents, and stakeholders are feeling blessed and enjoying the benefit of hard work and planning behind the online solution. We recall Swami Vivekananda who said, “Neither money pays, nor name pays, nor fame, nor learning; it is CHARACTER that cleaves through adamantine walls of difference.” We feel Swami Vivekananda’s words gave strength to reach the goal”.
Live classes are being conducted using video conferencing, and teachers are sending video links from Notebook to students one or two days before the class for students to prepare from. The Notebook has been a key partner in this journey. Notebook’s short learning videos mapped to the CBSE curriculum made it possible for teachers to share high-quality content relevant to the class of the student. Launched in 2019, Notebook has emerged as the forerunner in curriculum-mapped video content for CBSE schools. Teachers at RKM are sharing these video links with students over Whatsapp prior to the class and then using the classroom time to engage in better discussions and debates. To ensure that classes are conducted with the same seriousness, as usual, the school has asked students to attend the classes in school uniform. Before the lockdown, Notebook was being offered to schools for use in classrooms as well as home-access for students. At the beginning of the lockdown, Notebook had made its platform free of charge for everyone to access from home and has been able to assist the learning of more than 5 lakh users during the lockdown.
Speaking of their vision, Achin Bhattacharyya, Founder, and CEO of Notebook said,
“We started Notebook with a large social vision. Quality education had to be universally accessible, regardless of geography, socio-economic status, and language. And this is not being philanthropic. It is just being responsible. Telecom has successfully shown the incredible growth opportunity that middle India represents. So, when the lockdown hit schools, we made Notebook free of charge. The uptake, however, has far exceeded our own expectations. When Swamiji came as a speaker on our ‘Together for Education’ webinar series and spoke of how his school is implementing digital classrooms, we decided to help his efforts in every way we can, and what he and his team have done is nothing short of a seismic shift. It is only a matter of time before more schools go online, and people see online learning for what it is – not a compromise but a huge value addition to the teachers’ efforts. What is particularly heartening is that this happened outside the metro cities. Middle India is where our next big growth engine is being built, and Notebook is proud to be a part of that journey.”
With Ramakrishna Mission leading the charge, it is now expected that more schools will be adapting the fully-online route.
