People tend to throw out the phrase "extremely specific kinks" as though that inherently implies something transgressive, but in my experience, the overwhelming majority of extremely specific kinks are so innocuous that you could see them in public and not even clock them. For every person who can only get off to having their nipples electrocuted, there are a dozen who are volcanically aroused by seeing their partner wearing one specific pair of socks.
i think it shld be more widespread for ppl to read aloud to each other as a means of spending time together. like even just a bunch of adults sitting together reading wikipedia articles or something
I love how 90% of “homosexual speculation” sections on Wikipedia are like: ‘this guy may have produced zero heirs overall but within five minutes of meeting the handsomest young aristocrat anybody who witnessed him had ever seen [50 citations] granted him 26 titles, half a million acres of land, three hundred servants, his prized stallion, his wife, his crown, the entire nation state, his puckered asshole—’
Mostly just a pantser, I have a good idea of where I want the story to go, but how I get there just sort of happens. I prefer it that way; I feel like if I planned out too much I'd be limiting myself. Note: this does not apply when I am in the shower or taking walks-- if something great comes up in my head, I keep it.
15. How do you deal with writer’s block?
I read! Usually I like to go back to my favorite historical novels like Bowen's m&w trilogy, and in a few days I'm fixed :D if that doesn't work, I take a break by drawing, and by the time I'm done with that, I'll usually be super hyped for writing again. It's very rare for me to experience that, though.
17. What writing habits or rituals do you have?
If I'm starting a new AU, I customize the document, and it really helps to set the mood ngl??
I also usually have a playlist for my AUs so I'll put that on LMAO
21. Who is/are your favourite character(s) to write?
William, Bentinck, Mary, Anne Villiers, Marly, Maria. I could never choose between them...
48. What’s the most self-insert character/scene you’ve ever written?
I feel like unconsciously I've been putting some of my own experiences into Six Lives! Mary and I only notice it until later. Bentinck in Alien Alien is a close second, though, except making him just like me fr (tm) was my active thoughts and choices. He's very emotional.
