4  .  how  does  their  drug  /  nicotine  /  alcohol  use  differ  from  their  canon  verse  ?

so  !  this  is  a  rough  question  because  this  differs  in  a  variety  of  his  different  canon  verses  .  since  i  take  from  harry  primarily  in  spiderman  ps4  with  comic  influences  ,  his  canon  verse  is  pretty  different  from  his  life  in  the  cloud  !  in  spiderman  ps4  canon  ,  he  used  to  be  able  to  drink  (  and  he  did  drink  quite  a  bit  )  ,  but  after  discovering  his  oshtoran  syndrome  --  he  literally  couldn’t  drink  anymore  because  it  would  only  exacerbate  and  speed  up  the  illness'  effect  on  his  body  .  as  far  as  his  drug  use  goes  ,  harry  didn’t  really  get  into  too  much  ,  but  he  did  take  many  prescription  drugs  to  cope  with  his  illness  .  he  never  smoked  .  in  his  life  in  the  cloud  ,  harry  drinks  pretty  often  ,  not  to  the  point  of  becoming  actively  drunk  ,  but  he  makes  it  a  point  to  only  ever  drink  in  his  house  just  in  case  .  he  takes  a  lot  of  pain  killers  because  he  has  a  low  threshold  for  pain  .  after  getting  his  memories  back  ,  harry  has  pretty  much  stopped  drinking  because  he's  scared  that  if  he  drinks  ,  his  oshtoran  syndrome  will  come  back  with  a  vengeance  .  

7  .  what’s  their  coffee  shop  order  ,  dine  -  out  order  ,  ice  cream  sundae  order  ?

harry  likes  coffee  that's  been  sweetened  by  a  lot  .  he  hates  bitter  things  and  mainly  drinks  coffee  for  the  caffeine  anyways  ,  but  he  also  usually  orders  a  chocolate  chip  muffin  or  chocolate  croissant  with  it  .  his  dine  -  out  order  is  usually  whatever  fish  -  focused  dish  is  on  the  menu  --  he’s  pescetarian  !  and  as  for  ice  cream  sundae  order  ,  he  likes  vanilla  or  mint  chocolate  chip  .

his  flat  is  pretty  minimalist  !  the  most  clutter  he  has  are  just  sentimental  gifts  or  cards  that  he’s  received  throughout  his  time  in  the  cloud  that  he  refuses  to  get  rid  of  .  it  definitely  radiates  “  lived  in  ”  energy  ,  but  he’s  also  really  sensitive  about  smell  ,  so  he  cleans  extremely  regularly  and  will  even  be  cleaning  when  he's  bored  .  he  sets  aside  money  that  he  earns  every  month  specifically  for  his  rent  payments  ,  and  if  he  has  money  that  he  didn’t  spend  from  the  last  month  ,  he’ll  put  it  in  an  emergency  fund  .

he  loves  chinese  food  even  if  panda  express  isn’t  authentic  by  any  means  .  he’s  a  big  orange  chicken  guy  ,  but  he  absolutely  likes  honey  walnut  shrimp  and  also  broccoli  beef  as  well  .  takeout’s  pretty  common  --  he  absolutely  knows  how  to  cook  ,  but  takeout  is  convenient  ,  so  .

rhodey  uses  the  internet  primarily  to  look  at  the  news  .  he  likes  comparing  news  from  a  variety  of  different  news  sites  but  also  rarely  uses  social  media  .  he  has  them  ,  but  he  doesn’t  really  use  them  .  he’s  pretty  good  at  identifying  scams  mainly  because  he  usually  doesn’t  go  site  spiraling  --  he  doesn’t  click  on  a  lot  of  things  ,  he'll  go  on  the  site  he  wants  and  leaves  .

five  -  year  -  plan  is  mainly  just  to  maybe  get  a  dog  ,  pay  off  his  house  ,  and  maybe  go  on  a  nice  vacation  .  he  doesn’t  have  too  many  wild  dreams  since  most  times  --  weird  shit  just  ends  up  happening  .  he  figures  it’s  best  to  just  let  them  happen  .

will  has  a  son  --  he  wouldn't  fall  for  updog  or  the  onion  ,  but  he’s  definitely  been  rickrolled  .  he’s  not  annoyed  by  them  ,  but  he  wouldn't  pass  them  along  either  .

will  doesn’t  really  go  on  the  internet  as  much  ?  he  usually  just  uses  the  internet  for  submitting  grades  into  webportals  and  all  that  .  he  doesn’t  even  really  use  social  media  ;  usually  just  listens  to  music  through  youtube  and  checks  the  news  on  twitter  and  general  google  .  he’s  pretty  good  at  not  clicking  stupid  ads  on  the  internet  and  checks  the  emails  of  senders  before  putting  them  in  the  spam  folder  .

11  .  where  do  they  shop  ?  where  would  they  like  to  ,  if  comfort  ,  location  ,  or  price  tag  weren’t  the  issue  ?

will  usually  shops  in  general  stores  ;  and  even  if  all  of  those  factors  weren’t  issues  ,  he  was  always  raised  to  be  careful  with  money  ,  having  grown  up  poor  .

black  is  pretty  much  the  only  thing  in  her  closet  ,  honestly  !  she  likes  wearing  a  mix  of  flowy  and  tight  clothing  ,  so  she  usually  pairs  flowy  coats  or  blouses  with  short  skirts  and  stockings  or  leggings  .  she  hates  dressing  up  for  summer  since  her  wardrobe  is  best  suited  for  colder  or  warmer  months  .  her  summer  clothes  are  mainly  mock  neck  short  -  slevees  with  skirts  ,  but  she  is  absolutely  willing  to  wear  the  clothes  she  wants  regardless  of  weather  .

she  uses  red  lipstick  and  eyeliner  always  ,  but  rarely  any  hair  styling  products  .

nay  to  all  of  these  .  marina’s  very  sensitive  to  sounds  and  sights  ,  so  a  lot  of  times  ,  she’ll  use  earplugs  to  block  off  the  noise  and  rarely  goes  out  during  night  when  bright  lights  are  especially  jarring  .

coffee  shop  order  is  a  iced  caramel  macchiatto  with  a  cheese  danish  .  dine  -  out  order  usually  depends  on  the  mood  ,  but  she  usually  fluctuates  between  steak  and  salmon  .  ice  cream  sundae  order  is  a  cookies  n’  cream  sundae  ,  and  --  if  she  wants  to  get  fancy  --  she’ll  throw  in  some  extra  oreo  toppings  on  it  .

her  living  space  isn’t  filled  with  clutter  ,  but  it’s  not  quite  minimalist  either  .  she  doesn’t  bother  hiding  her  “  witchy  ”  items  ,  so  she’ll  have  them  in  cabinets  stored  around  .  she  has  a  lot  of  wooden  furniture  and  soft  cushions  .  she’s  pretty  diligent  about  her  payments  .

         the  sun’s  harsh  rays  glare  down  mercilessly  on  the  lake ,  its  reflection  dancing  atop  the  gentle  waves.  the  scene  is  as  beautiful  as  it  is  peaceful  —-  aside  from  ellie ,  flailing  her  arms  about  a  dozen  or  so  feet  away  from  shore.  though  one  might  confuse  this  to  be  some  sort  of  bizarre  rain  dance  or  swan  mating  call ,  it’s  simply  the  result  of  trying  to  teach  herself  to  swim  .  .  .  and  failing  miserably.  ❝  shit !!  ❞  ellie  hisses ,  still  choking  on  water  as  she  frantically  reaches  for  something  —-  anything  —-  to  grab  onto.  eventually  she  finds  the  lousy  lifesaver  she’d  brought  with  her  (  yes ,  that’s  ellie’s  version  of  a  safety  precaution  )  and  hooks  both  arms  around  it.  it’s  enough  to  keep  her  head  above  water  .  .  .  for  now.  ❝  alright  .  .  .  fuck  you  poseidon ,  fuck  you  little  mermaid ,  fuck  you  sea  monkeys ,  everyone  with  gills  :  you  all  can  go  and  fuck  yourself  —-  i’m  tapping  out ,  ❞  ellie  declares ,  coughing  as  she  tries  to  catch  her  breath.  it’s  safe  to  say  that  she’s  over  it.  but  how  to  get  back  to  shore  .  .  .

water  has  always  been  a  center  of  peace  for  will  .  growing  up  ,  he  remembers  having  helped  his  father  down  by  the  ports  ,  fixing  boat  engines  with  him  at  the  docks  during  weekends  .  and  even  after  all  of  the  chaos  of  getting  dreams  way  too  realistic  for  them  to  be  just  dreams  ,  rushing  water  has  remained  a  constant  for  him  just  as  much  as  the  flow  of  crimson  did  .  but  all  memories  of  water  have  grown  tainted  ,  saddened  for  reasons  he  still  can’t  fully  explain  or  understand  .  it’s  why  ever  since  the  dreams  started  ,  he  usually  tries  to  avoid  the  beach  --  the  sharp  scent  of  salt  water  making  something  in  his  chest  clench  painfully  --  but  after  finding  the  lake  ,  he’s  gone  fishing  every  now  and  again  ,  using  the lake  as  he  tries  to  replace  the  river  in  his  mind  .  it’s  not  necessarily  the  best  time  of  day  to  fishing  --  he  usually  goes  earlier  in  the  morning  --  but  perhaps  it’s  a  good  thing  he  came  because  just  as  he’s  been  prepping  his  boat  and  putting  down  his  fishing  gear  ,  he  startles  when  he  hears  the  sound  of  someone  else  at  the  lake  ,  struggling  .  looking  over  to  see  someone  holding  onto  something  not  too  far  from  shore  ,   he’s  already  moving  to  set  his  boat  to  go  out  on  the  water  to  try  and  help  her  .  he  calls  out  ,  loud  enough  for  the  sound  to  resonate  ,  “  are  you  alright  ?  do  you  need  help  ?  ”

Evan hated to admit that his memories were getting mixed up, that the old world and whatever this new place was both felt so real, it was hard to always piece together the small stuff. will  has  to  admit  that  he  sort  of  feels  like  he's  lost  the  script  of  this  conversation  .  he  does  his  best  to  avoid  the  mall  with  its  dense  overpopulation  during  all  hours  of  the  day  ,  waves  of  others’  emotions  bleeding  into  him  ,  but  he  had  wanted  to  go  grab  some  more  office  items  really  quick  and  had  only  intended  for  the  trip  to  be  a  quick  one  .  he  hadn’t  really  anticipated  much  socialisation  anyways  ,  but  he  had  stumbled  upon  evan  and  wanted  to  check  on  how  he  was  .  “  i  wouldn't  have  asked  if  i  didn't  want  your  opinion  ,  evan  ,  ”  will  says  ,  not  unkindly  --  if  anything  ,  the  words  are  said  patiently  sincere  ;  the  last  thing  he  wants  is  for  evan  to  feel  distressed  .  after  having  evan  as  his  student  and  now  as  his  assistant  ,  he’s  usually  better  at  navigating  their  interactions  to  ensure  evan’s  not  so  stressed  out  ,  but  it's  not  hard  to  assume  that  he’s  not  the  only  one  on  edge  from  being  inside  the  mall  .  “  i  can  ask  someone  else  too  ,  but  --  seeing  as  i’m  going  to  be  using  these  pens  for  grading  papers  --  i  would  like  your  input  as  well  .  ”

          TARA let out an exhaustive sigh as she looked at the results of her handiwork: a giant dumpster was turned over in the alley, a massive hole seemingly punched in the bottom of it. trash was scattered all over the place. she had gotten a bit paranoid and spooked by a sudden sound, causing her to create a large spike to scare off any potential threats; but it turned out to be nothing. as soon as she realized her mistake, she receded any evidence of her powers back into the earth. 

          however, the amount of noise she caused had garnered some attention, but it seemed like no one saw the whole thing ; just the aftermath. she tilted her head as she examined the scene. “ i don’t know, ” she lied a little too easily. “ maybe a prank gone wrong? ooh, like bomb in the dumpster… ”

it  wouldn’t  be  the  first  time  rhodey’s  seen  weird  shit  happening  ,  and  an  alleyway  with  trash  everywhere  is  by  far  not  even  in  the  top  twenty  weird  things  list  .  but  he  has  to  admit  .  seeing  a  dumpster  turned  almost  upside  down  with  all  of  its  contents  everywhere  is  ,  in  fact  ,  still  just  as  weird  as  you  would  imagine  it  would  be  .  and  that’s  not  even  including  how  the  bottom  of  the  plastic  dumpster  looks  like  it’s  been  erupted  open  by  the  world's  largest  hole  puncher  .

“  i'm  pretty  sure  if  there  was  a  bomb  ,  we  would  have  heard  that  .  ”  his  nose  wrinkles  at  the  smell  ;  thankfully  ,  the  trash  doesn't  seem  to  have  too  many  things  rotting  .  “  although  i  wouldn't  put  it  past  the  people  here  to  try  it  .  ”

connor was attempting to multitask in his booth, scribbling on a page in a notebook and eating a sandwich at the same time. though, to any onlooker, he probably looked like a mess – writing one word and then taking a bite, humming every time before repeating the process. he stopped after one bite, closing his eyes just as someone walked by his table, and he opened his eyes just in time to try and get their attention. “ hey. hey. ” connor was waving his hand off the end of the table, smiling a little. “ have you had this fuckin’ sandwich before ?? it’s like… shit, the best sandwich i’ve ever had, hands down. ” okay, so, chances were he was also a little high, but could you blame him ?? 

marina’s  starving  .  she  wouldn’t  say  she’s  dying  of  hunger  because  that’s  far  too  dramatic  ,  but  she  is  hungry  ,  and  if  she  doesn’t  get  food  soon  ,  she  will  probably  punch  someone  .  so  there’s  not  much  she’s  really  willing  to  put  up  with  .  but  just  as  she’s  about  to  sit  down  ,  she  pauses  when  she  hears  a  familiar  voice  .  she  would  be  lying  if  she  said  she  didn’t  feel  somewhat  fond  amusement  as  she  turns  to  see  connor  .  before  she  can  even  say  anything  ,  he’s  saying  something  about  a  sandwich  which  only  reminds  her  for  what  she  came  here  for  .  “  i  can't  say  i  have  had  it  ,  but  i'm  pretty  sure  anything  would  be  great  right  about  now  .  ”  

she  doesn’t  even  bother  asking  either  before  she’s  settling  down  in  the  seat  in  front  of  him  .  “  what  kind  of  sandwich  is  it  anyways  ?  ”

the lighthouse was easily one of adora’s favorite places on the island. it was so high and gave such a great view of everything around that she never grew tired of being up at the top, resting after a run and climbing the steps. usually she was able to sit by herself for a bit and just take in the perfect weather and sight of the town, but this morning she was joined by another person. “ oh, sorry. ” she smiled as she made her way to the railing, leaning against it. “ I didn’t think anyone else would be here… it’s normally quiet this early. ” she sighed, looking out across the town. “ isn’t it just… beautiful ?? ”

harry  tends  not  to  climb  all  the  way  to  the  lighthouse  on  an  average  day  ,  but  he’s  hoping  to  see  a  particular  person  ,  and  by  the  time  that  he  gets  to  the  top  --  after  several  stops  and  huffing  from  exhaustion  --  he  finally  manages  to  see  her  .  he  grins  albeit  tiredly  as  he  walks  over  to  adora  ,  walking  to  stand  next  to  her  before  resting  his  body  weight  against  the  sturdy  rail  .  “  i  was  hoping  i’d  find  you  here  .  would  have  sucked  if  i’d  managed  to  somehow  miss  you  .  ”  he  glances  over  ,  the  sun  barely  even  up  as  it  shines  over  them  .  it  was  beautiful  ,  honestly  ;  he’s  never  see  the  sunrise  from  the  lighthouse  before  .  he  marvels  a little  ,   “  everything’s  so  small  from  here  .  ”

          it was a quiet day at the mystic grill, thus it was no surprise that ORPHEUS was in the back, working on his song. for the most part, he merely strummed his usual melody and sang new verses over it. he wasn’t trying to be heard, but his melodies demanded to be as they filled the otherwise silent restaurant. he only returned to work when he could tell his manager was getting antsy.

          eventually, he re-emerged into the main dining area and reluctantly traded his guitar for a notepad. he approached one of the only patrons ; but before the usual spiel could escape his lips, it seemed the patron had a question of his own. “ oh, the music? yeah. that was me, ” he answered nonchalant. “ helps pass the time. ”

it’s  not  exactly  often  that  harry  actually  eats  at  this  particular  restaurant  ,  but  they  were  recommended  it  by  their  classmates  ,  so  it’s  not  as  if  they  have  any  particular  regrets  .  they  were  just  looking  at  what  to  order  when  they  heard  a  song  that  they  don't  recognise  being  played  .

when  the  worker  stepped  out  to  take  their  order  ,  the  question  came  out  before  they  could  think  twice  about  it  .  at  the  admittance  ,  harry  drops  the  piece  of  paper  napkin  they  were  fidgeting  with  ,  eyes  widening  a  little  .  “  you’re  really  talented  .  like  ...  honestly  .  not  to  make  things  weird  or  anything  .  ”

rhodes  has  always  know  what  it's  like  to  need  help  but  feel  like  you  have  to  refuse  to  ask  for  it  .  he  had  a  loving  family  growing  up  ,  regardless  of  which  memories  ,  of  this  life  or  the  past  .  he'd  always  tried  to  fix  things  ,  to  handle  things  on  his  own  .  that  hadn't  changed  ,  not  even  when  he  had  gotten  paralysed  .  he  still  remembers  how  heartbreaking  the  news  had  been  ,  how  he  had  wanted  to  refuse  it  at  first  .  he’s  still  not  entirely  over  that  mindset  ,  even  now  ,  after  everything  ,  but  he’s  been  slowly  trying  to  break  that  down  .  he  helps  allison  up  ,  pulling  away  when  he’s  startled  at  her  questions  .  he  pauses  ,  softening  ,  before  he’s  trying  to  think  of  the  best  way  to  put  into  words  how  he  honestly  feels  .  “  people  say  it  takes  time  ,  ”  he  begins  ,  shrugging  as  he  adds  on  ,  somberly  ,  “  i  feel  like  it  takes  more  than  that  .  because  the  physical  wounds  do  heal  over  .  but  it  takes  far  longer  for  the  mind  to  catch  up  .  but  ...  ”  he  sighs  ,  continuing  ,  “  even  when  it  feels  hopeless  ,  the  bad’s  already  happened  .  now  it  just  matters  what  you'll  do  to  recover  from  it  .  and  things  aren’t  gonna  be  the  same  ,  but  it’s  worth  it  to  try  to  fill  in  that  void  that  the  bad’s  left  behind  .  ”  after  everything  ,  he figures  he  owes  it  to  that  part  of  him  ,  the  life  he  could  have  had  ,  to  try  to  pick  up  all  of  the  pieces  he  has  left  .  he  doesn’t  think  he’ll  ever  even begin  to  cope  if  he  doesn’t  try  .

          perhaps ANNA had overreacted when she heard the news of one of her favorite ice cream flavors being discontinued, but she wasn’t given any warning. she didn’t nearly have enough time to stock up. now, as she stood in the middle of the grocery aisle with an armful of pints, she thought her actions were perfectly reasonable. 

          “ i am not being dramatic, ” she insisted as she dropped the ice cream into the shopping cart. she turned back to the still open freezer, looking for anything she may have missed. “ this is a BIG deal !!! i can’t live without chocolate shake it… how else am i supposed to get through my next break-up ??? ”

martina  would  like  to  say  she’s  the  type  of  person  to  not  care  about  what  someone  else  is  doing  .  but  that  would  only  be  slightly  the  half  -  truth  .  while  she  genuinely  finds  there’s  not  much  she  cares  for  ,  she  does  somehow  still  find  herself  amused  by  the  other  residents  .  even  if  that  amusement  is  often  coated  in  confusion  as  she  raises  an  eyebrow  at  the  redhead  clutching  to  cartons  of  ice  cream  .

with  the  chaos  of  memories  returned  ,  things  have  been  …  hard  ,  to  say  the  least  .  to  think  that  he  should  be  dying  right  now  ,  and  yet  here  he  is  in  the  cloud  --  cured  of  his  sickness  ,  having  been  given  another  chance  at  life  .  so  even  if  he  misses  elements  of  his  previous  life  ,  he  wouldn’t  give  up  this  life  for  his  other  one  .  putting  aside  being  cured  ,  he  has  people  here  that  he  can’t  give  up  ,  won’t  give  up  .  people  like  eren  .  he  adjusts  their  hands  ,  intertwining  their  fingers  .  he  doesn’t  know  the  extent  of  just  how  much  eren’s  been  through  in  his  own  original  life  ,  but  --  if  there’s  one  thing  he  knows  --  they  deserve  peace  ,  deserve  softness  .  it’s  the  least  that  they  deserve  ,  really  .  “  you  do  .  ”  but  because  it  doesn’t  feel  like  enough  --  not  even  remotely  --  harry  adds  ,  a  light  smile  on  his  features  but  his  words  are  solid  ,  said  with  no  hint  of  doubt  ,  “  you  are  capable  of  anything  .  ”  harry  can’t  say  he  can  protect  him  from  all  of  the  fears  and  bad  memories  stemming  from  a  life  where  he  never  knew  him  ,  but  in  this  life  :  harry  swears  he  will  always  be  here  for  him  .  “  i  believe  in  you  .  always  .  ”
