Grief is a powerful thing. When losing family, all that remains is a hole of what remains of that person. But clinging on to what remains of them isn't going to help, it's just going to make things worse.

I understand what Maelle wanted. To hold on.

But you need to let go. It was tough for me, but I'm never going to have my grandma come back.

'A Life to Love' is a beautiful name for the ending. Because Maelle, myself, everyone, has a life to not only live, but to love, as well.

some people think writers are so eloquent and good with words, but the reality is that we can sit there with our fingers on the keyboard going, “what’s the word for non-sunlight lighting?
