If Ash were to ever figure out he’s in love with Puck I fully believe it would be the Elysium after he and Ariella make things official.

Because Puck has a tendency to sub in for the summer princesses, when they don’t show up for Elysium— whether it’s a sly insult to Oberon to have a dance with the “heirs” of the kingdom while he has no legitimate children or an insult to Mab to have her sons dance with a servant, no one knows at this point. But either way, for the last few Elysiums, Puck has danced with Ash, and it’s all been in good fun.

But now Ash is exclusive to Ariella, and he’s dancing with her. So Puck dances with Rowan.

(Rowan does not like this development. Rowan has his own list of paramours he’d prefer to dance with, and last time he had to dance with Puck he got a cottonmouth dropped down his shirt. But no one asked for his opinion.)

And. Maybe Ash wouldn’t be jealous if it were Sage, because Sage has the stiffest dance style known in Tir Na Nog and also isn’t interested in anyone, let alone Puck. But Puck dancing with Rowan? Agreeably? And smiling and laughing during it?

He’s fucked. He’s so fucked. And this probably counts as emotional cheating or something, so he’s a horrible partner on top of it.

(Meanwhile, Ariella is actively plotting to get Puck between them.)

Ash knew he was in love with Puck for a while. But he also knew there was nothing to be done about it. He can't ever be with him, and he's good at locking emotions away (especially want. Desire.), so it's fine.

But then during Elysium (or one of their quests), Ash is sitting on the side and watches Puck dance with someone else, laughing, charming, happy. And oh, the jealousy that rises at that...

He realizes he's screwed.

(Meanwhile Puck also knows he's in love with Ash, and is deliberately trying to see if he can get a reaction out of him, justttt to check if Mr. Emotionless prince might feel the same)

One of my favorite stories to tell about myself from when I was a kid is the story how my grandma’s “Catching Fairies” game was banned because of me

So when I was really little my grandma had this game she made up, she’d give me and all my cousins jars and containers and tell us that in her garden there were fairies but they were smart and tricky so they disguised themselves as caterpillars and butterflies and as grasshoppers and worms.

Whoever caught the most ‘Fairies’ won but we had to set them all free because they tended to the garden

One summer day my brothers were at the age they were dreading ‘girly’ stuff so I was playing alone

At this point I had met all the fairies in the garden and I was getting bored without any competition and with finding the same old fairies

But then just as I was begrudgingly heading back to my grandma with the same fairies as usual I found a new fairy!

I thought she was so beautiful! She was resting on the sparkly thread in the leaves and her black body gleamed in the sunlight, she had long legs and a cool red spot on her back

Excited I coaxed her onto my hand and was so giddy I found a new one! I rushed back to the farm house to show my Grandma and Dad, gently carrying my new friend.

But when my Dad and Grandma turned around to see what fairy I caught I saw the color drain from their faces and both of them freeze, I could tell something was wrong but didn’t understand

My dad congratulated me and asked me if he could see the pretty fairy, I let him but felt a little nervous seeing how terrified he looked as she moved into his hands from mine.

Slowly he walked back towards the door, my grandma clutching my shoulders then my dad LAUNCHED the fairy back into the garden which I thought was rather rude

Then we had a nice long talk about Black Widow spiders

Here's one of my dream concept costume ideas for Max thats been in my brain.

I do have a entire costume overview for the entire flock but that will come in due time.

My background is in costumes and casting.

I would love to have Max in a brown leather jacket very inspired by the manga.

This would play into more meaning thanjust a small tribute to the manga,it would be old and oversized, having belonged to someone else.

On the back would be varsity letters (or whatever you call them) spelling " BATCHELDER"

YA THAT'S RIGHT! It's Jebs old jacket ! Max wears it all through out the angel expirement, even after the makeover scene she can't part with it. It wouldn't be until the very end when she "kills" Ari and Jeb delivers the line "you killed your brother", he'd grab her sleeve and she'd pull it off herself before flying off.

Added details to the jacket : add wing slits for obvious reasons .

There would be faint outlines added of other patches Jeb had unstitched over the years leaving the jacket mostly blank. Maybe out of paranoia or security.

This could be a university jacket but is more likely a military jacket (side note : maybe Jeb wanted to be a pilot before choosing to expirement on his own childern)

There can even be a flashback scene about how Jeb left with Max holding or putting on the jacket . In the first book,she doesn't even know she's been wearing her Dad's jacket.

I just love having costume pieces actually tie into the narrative.

Hi everyone, serious post!

If you've been following me for a while or you're a mutual of mine, you probably already know that I'm Native American, but I feel the need to expand a little bit.

I'm a member of the Chinook Indian Nation - I don't expect you to know that name. We've been fighting for recognition as long as I've been alive, even though we've been here since the beginning of European presence in the West Coast, and long before it.

We are constantly fighting. The vast majority of our population was killed by disease and colonization, and with that we lost our language. But after that hardship we are still here. We are still fighting. The government has effectively spat in our faces and said that not only are we unworthy of their time - we are unworthy of respect. Of dignity. I'm asking you, the people who take the time to read this post to dedicate even a fraction of your time to signing our petitions, boosting this post, or using the ChinookJustice hashtag on any major social media platform.

We don't just want our land back, we want our home back. We want the bodies of our ancestors, which are routinely dug up during construction. We want the relics of our tribe that are hanging up in museums to be returned, but first there needs to be a home for them to return to. Our campaigns have shockingly low amounts of signatures, but I'm hoping that the good people I know are here can change that.

when I drew this comic 3 years ago I had NO idea how far it would reach. I'm happy to finally share a corrected version with proper abbreviations, and even MORE state names of indigenous origin ♥️

however, the goal of this comic was to inspire people to do your OWN research on indigenous history. To question everything we have been taught, and everything that has been pointedly left out. This erasure, this “forgetting”, of history is not just of the past… it is happening now. - Across so-called Canada, the US, and US-occupied islands, native women are victims of murder at 10-12x the rate of non-native people, and are the most likely to go missing without being searched for by the law. - Native reservations have the highest rates of poverty in the US, with over HALF of tribal homes with no access to clean water (with more joining this list by the year) - Native people are 6-10x more likely to be unhoused than the rest of the population, and native teens suffer suicide rates higher than any other demographic. This list of modern day genocide goes on (thank you for compiling @theindigenousanarchist <3) and yet take a look at those environmental stats!

Native people manage to do SO much for the planet as a whole - thanklessly - and with all this stacked against them. Don't even get me started on kin fighting in south america. Could you imagine if there was help? #landback is resistance to genocide, and it is the key to saving our warming earth.

So look into it and the other hashtags, cuz a cartoon goose ain't a substitute for a proper education. Love to my grandparents who always kept a map of tribal territories of turtle island on their wall, to speaking on our Tsalagi & Saponi heritage.
