Visera would fight the gods for Gale, and I know I always draw post-Gale blowup as angsty and sad, but she would not take that lying down. Like yes, she’d get drunk and try to tear down Mystra’s statue. But after she sobered up, I think Visera would go into full god-slaying paladin of vengeance mode against every god that messed with her life and that of her friends.

Started IPL treatment on my face again after it wasn't really successful in my 20s and I'm not allowed to pluck anymore and so I've had to learn how to shave and the stubble is making my dysphoria and my anxiety skyrocket

But the new meds I've started this year have also restarted my period after the implanon turned it off for the last 15 years so I get dysphoria when I bleed too!! Evidence of woman by western cultural standards? Dysphoria! Evidence of not-woman by western cultural standards??? Dysphoria again!!!

Gale’s presence as a companion will never not be the funniest thing to me. because while everyone else are kind of just acquaintances who decided to tag along, your relationship with Gale from the get go is a very friendly accidental mutual hostage situation.

he can’t leave because he needs you to help him find artifacts so he doesn’t literally explode and die. you need to help him find artifacts so he doesn’t literally explode and kill you. narratively, you also can’t let him leave because if he leaves he’s almost guaranteed to die anyway, which still might kill you.

in that situation you are both:

- hostage negotiator

- hostage

and the guy you’re negotiating with is:

- the bomb, and

- terribly sorry about the inconvenience.

it’s also quite funny to me because obviously the game lets you let him leave the party for freedom of choice, but it makes no sense for any PC with an ounce of survival instinct to let him go lmao. even if you hate that wizard, keeping an eye on and managing the walking nuke is a much better plan than letting it go off somewhere random and potentially kill you in the process, (especially when Gale very clearly implies he probably will not survive long). just kind of a comically balanced decision in hindsight.

Yesterday, VICE requested specific details from Collective Shout on Steam games that, per the organization, depict “child abuse.” As of yet, the group has not clarified which games portray this subject matter and how. As this reporter covered yesterday, it seems incredibly unlikely that any adult Steam games depict underage characters in sexual scenarios. Valve previously pulled a visual novel over a hidden, inaccessible file of an 18+ scene with a character that Valve considered underage, even though the game’s publisher denied the claim. The visual novel was only restored to Steam when the offending file was removed. In other words, it seems virtually impossible for Steam to host any adult games depicting “child abuse.” Rather, Collective Shout may be targeting popular video games that depict children in scenarios where they face distress or harm — even if these depictions are intended to encourage concern and care in the player. From there, the organization may be describing these titles as featuring “child abuse.”
