anaisblake: Growing up in Chicago my family often brought me to the Art Institute, where I would stand in this room and gaze at the statue surrounded by all of the impressionist paintings. It was my favorite room... As a dancer I felt connected to her, this statue of a dancer from long ago. It’s been a dream being a part of this show, telling her story.
