ik pentar just offered up e for the mace but the last line skskskskwksk. truly, yeah, nobody else can offer ecorridor other than pentar. because ecorridor only teams with pentar. <3 i don't doubt pentar probably thought of a way to circumvent the deal anyway. 😭

VODwatching Bacon’s stream from a few days back and the 1-on-1 conversation between Bacon and Pentar is really interesting. Bacon presses the question of what Pentar cares about on the server to try and get him to do something. Pentar replies that the only thing he cares about on the server doesn’t log on (Ecorridor) and Bacon, upon realizing what he’s talking about, says ‘mine doesn’t either’ (Planetlord), so he went and found a new team. Which, firstly, yay crumbs, I love crumbs, love Bacon calling Planet the only thing he cared about on the server. I don’t know if I’ve heard him say it so directly before now. At least, he certainly didn’t admit it to Kab. I’ve been a bit locked out which unfortunately means I don’t have a full picture of where Bacon’s head is at right now, but it’s an interesting bit of growth and it’s interesting that Pentar is the one he admits it to here. But probably more importantly, the way the rest of the conversation goes with Bacon pushing and pushing for Pentar to do *something* even if he ends up siding against the Empire is such a good showcase of Bacon’s priorities because the conversation might have started with asking for help, but in the end that was secondary to what Bacon really wanted, which was for Pentar to care about the server and do something interesting even if it hurt his team. He tries really hard— hell, when Pentar is being wishy-washy about risking death and talks about not caring about anything enough to warrant that, Bacon talks about having fun and hopping on PVP legacy, he wants to engage Pentar in something, anything, if it might reignite his interest in fighting on the server. He’s not pressing Pentar for allying with the strongest team, he’s pressing him for not actually doing anything for them. He’s pissed that they’re just ‘chill,’ that everyone is chill and therefore everything is stagnant. When Pentar reiterates that he just needs Ecorridor to log back on, Bacon tells him that that isn’t happening and he has to make the best of it regardless. Bacon has done so much adapting to disappointment and failed plans this season, especially regarding teammates, and he’s picked himself up every time. His investment in Pentar is like. Honestly a little sad, like Bacon gets his position, he’s been there and he’s had to pull himself out, but Bacon had Kab, then Hannah, then Zam to help him figure out something to reignite that spark and he’s trying to do the same for Pentar but Pentar won’t give him anything to work with. Pentar is content to fuck around and wait for Ecorridor and let the rest of the server handle itself and that pisses Bacon off so badly.

But it’s also kind of interesting that Ecorridor actually does come back. They aren’t on at the same time, but E Does log on before the finale and tells Zam the same Pentar tells Bacon: Pentar is the only thing he wants for the end of the server. Meanwhile Planet hasn’t logged on in months and I don’t imagine they will over the next few days, as much as I’d love to be wrong. I don’t watch them so I don’t have any sort of confidence in saying this, but based on these conversations, E and Pentar might be eachother’s only tethers to the server but it’s a very sturdy one. Bacon may care about Planet more than anything else, but Planet isn’t the only thing he cares about and Planet may care about Bacon more than anything else, but that isn’t enough to make him care about the server enough to log on. I don’t know, I don’t really have a conclusion here I just find it really fascinating. I love Bacon’s perspectives on the server.
