More Than Him pt.1

Here is Pt.1 of 5 from @fourteenow ‘s prize from the follower event!!

Summary: Sero catches someone’s boyfriend being disloyal.

Sero didn’t slink around, he didn’t sneak, he wasn’t nosy. For the most part he didn’t go looking for gossip or drama. If someone had something to share he sure as hell was going to listen but he preferred to remain involved in those kinds of matters. “Preferred” being the key word, but seeing as he had seen something rather odd, something so blatantly wrong, something that must have been his imagination, he felt, really, that he had no choice but to become the primary source of the information.

He wasn’t sure what had prompted him to come to the conclusion that was his business. If what he had seen was even what he thought it had been he wasn’t sure he was equipped to be the person to carry or even deliver this kind of information. And yet here he was, pressed up against a wall, sweat starting to form on the crease of his brow as he grew increasingly nervous that he was going to get caught.

Why am I nervous that I’m going to get caught? He’s the one who got caught

He tries to reassure himself. It isn’t much help though as he just so happens to be Bakugo. He wasn’t sure they were much of friends even if they hung out with the same group of friends. Bakugo sure didn’t consider much of anyone a friend and he was very vocal about that. So he didn’t feel that he owed Bakugo any privacy or discretion on the matter and he wasn’t intimidated by him much either, he could hold his own against him, that much had been proven in school. No, what was making him so nervous was the simple nature of being in possession of the information that he had just confirmed with a final look around the corner of the wall.

A bead of sweat dripped from his forehead down to his chin and his eyes locked onto exactly what he had thought he had seen the first time. There pressed up against the wall was a girl he didn’t recognize in the slightest, the person pressing her up against that wall was unmistakable. Bakugo leaned over her in a confident and nonchalant manner as he repeatedly kissed her and ran his hands up and down her sides only breaking away to say things to her which seemed to be reassurances. Sero, being too far away to listen, squinted to try and read his lips to no avail. It wasn’t too important, whatever he was saying was of little importance in comparison to the actual act of what he was doing.

What is he doing? He has a girlfriend, doesn’t he? Did they breakup?

Questions ran through Sero’s head as he decided he had seen enough and turned to leave. He considered confronting Bakugo then and there, but what if he was wrong and perhaps Bakugo wasn’t even in a relationship with his girlfriend anymore, he would have interrupted something he hadn’t much wanted to see in the first place. Sero ran his hands through his head and let out a frustrated laugh.

What the fuck am I supposed to do with this information? Who am I gonna tell? I have to at least wait until I know if he’s even still with Y/n. GOD why me? Why am I even panicking about this? I didn’t do anything wrong.

Sero was in fact right to feel the way he did and he knew it, he was just riding on the hopeful wave that perhaps he could get away with seeing something he hadn’t really wanted to and move on without a care. He proved to be wrong though as he walked into class is the next day and saw Y/n sitting on her desk just as usual, despite Iida’s protests at her disrespect for school property, as she played with Bakugo’s tie, something he had only bothered to wear when they had started dating. His face fell at the sight.

GOD, he is cheating. Or did cheat. What if they’re in an open relationship? No that’s not like her, she wouldn’t agree to that…probably.

“What’s with that look?” Kaminari asks Sero as he takes his seat.

Sero leans forward with a worried look in his eyes, “Dude, you’re not going to believe what I saw yesterday.”

Kaminari’s eyes opened wide with anticipation, not much of a gossip himself but a big fan of knowing it, he leaned forward eagerly to listen to his friend, “What?” he asked excitedly.

“I swear to God, you can’t tell anyone,” he warned him and Kaminari nodded his head in understanding, “I was coming back from Recovery Girl’s office,” he began in a whisper.

“Oh yeah, I remember. Did you get the medicine?”

“Yeah I did. Anyway, I was coming back down and out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw Bakugo making out with some girl down one of the corridors.”

Kaminari’s eyes opened wide yet again, “No way.”

Sero nodded his head, “yeah that’s what I thought. So I fucking hid behind the wall and checked, cause I was like there’s no way i just saw what I think I just saw. But dude, he was definitely making out with some girl and there’s no way it was Y/n.”

“Holy shit,” Kaminari says running a hand through his hair, an incredulous look on his face, “You gotta tell her, did you get a picture? You have to have proof.”

“No, I didn’t get a fucking picture,” Sero says thwaping the back of Kaminari’s head.

“Hey, OW!”

 “And how am I even supposed to tell her that, hey by the way your bf is cheating on you, I saw him eating some girls face in the hallway the other day.”

Kaminari shrugs, “Well if you don’t even have a picture there’s not much you can do anyway.”

Sero is cut off by Mr. Aizawa just as he’s about to add another thought. The day continues just as usual, but Sero can’t help but throw pitying glances at Y/n the rest of the day.

It would just so happen to be Sero’s luck however that he would catch someone in the act again. Always seeming to be the last one to leave the locker rooms he took the same route back to the dorms and once again as he was passing by he noticed the usually empty side corridor was not in fact empty. He quickly ducked behind the wall as he had the last time.

Again? Why?

He fumbles with the pocket of his clothes’ bag and takes out his phone.

Fuck, I better turn off the flash

He peaks his eye around the corner once more to make sure that they’re still there, holds the camera up and hits the record button.

Rushing back to the dorms once he felt the evidence was incriminating enough, he made a bee-line for Kaminari who was sitting with their friends in the common room.

“Kami,” he whispered to him after nodding his head in a greeting to the rest of the group.

“What?” Kaminari asked, turning to face him from his spot on the couch.

“I caught him, again,” Sero said his eyes motioning towards the entrance to the dorms to discuss the matter more privately.

“Holy shit, again?” Kaminari said a little too loudly causing Sero to cringe, “Did you get a picture this time?” 

“Yeah, I’ll do you one better, I got a fucking video,” Sero says holding his phone up.

“What are you two going on about?” Mina asks, turning her attention to the not so discrete boys, “You got a video of what?”

“Sero caught-

“SHUT UP, I TOLD YOU TO KEEP IT QUIET.”

“Oh no,” Mina said, interest piqued, “Now you have to tell me.”

“Tell you what? I wanna know too,” Kirishima adds in pulling his attention away from the TV.

Sero groans. This is the last thing I wanted, if everyone knows but her that makes it worse. He pulls at his hair a little before looking around the room nervously. They’re the only ones there, everyone else is out doing their own thing. So he takes a deep breath and removes his hand from Kaminari’s mouth.

“Sero caught Bakugo making out with some girl yesterday,” Kaminari finishes his statement.

“Oh my god,” Mina says, her mouth hanging open in shock.

What the fuuuck,” Kirishima adds.

“Yeah,” Sero says, “And I caught him with whoever it was again.”

“You gotta show us the video,” Mina says motioning for him to show them.

Quickly he scoots them over to sit between them and play the video for them. It isn’t long, he felt wrong recording it even though he wasn’t the one cheating.

“That is definitely Bakugo, but I have no idea who that girl is,” Mina says.

“This is bad, man,” Kirishiman says, placing his hands on the top of his head, eyes wide in disbelief, “You gotta tell Y/n.”

“Tell me what?” Y/n says suddenly appearing in the entryway to the dorms.

The group whips their heads around to her in a panic, eyes darting back and forth between one another to see who will speak up. They’re eyes finally settling on Sero and his phone.

“What’s going on?” She asks looking at Sero, crossing her arms in confusion.
