Is it seriously *that* controversial to 1. Not want people naked and doing sexual acts in public spaces, especially when goddamn children can see them, and 2. Prevent that sort of behavior so homophobes don't have more ammunition they can use to take away our rights with? Like, the whole point of the LGBT rights movement is to show people we deserve respect and to fight against all the negative stereotypes. How does fisting and puppyplay in public do anything but harm us as a community?

at no point in time has my gay politics ever involved trying to earn the respect of str8 people - the point is to make a society in which how they feel abt me is their problem and not mine. homophobes dont need ‘ammunition’ (like the mythical pride fisting... like, when has that happened?), they dont have a logical reason to being homophobic, for maintaining fucked up stereotypes.

also, just like, i think coming down on people for mild eroticism at pride is like dumb because its like an optional event around destigmatizing our bodies and sexualities. Nudity-as-sexual is not an objective fact: its a moral claim, one which is determined misogynistically, transphobically, etc. tbh i think its crazy to act like the fact that a young person might voluntarily enter a space and be introduced to the concept that sex exists (which they can then leave and ignore at will) is tantamount to like fucking molestation, like this sort of ultimate freudian trauma. like, plz, grow up - please stop acting like pride is some weird fallwellian combo of a jack chick tract villain and folsom street faire. there are numerous family oriented pride events even, this is asinine and its not even happening anyhow.

like ive said other places: parents cover up their childrens eyes just seeing me wearing normal clothes, or walking w a girlfriend. the idea of the only good public behavior being that which is ‘consented’ to by the Most Innocent Hypothetical Eyes Of the Child is both homophobic and authoritarian more broadly
