What is her fault? She used to cry about the silliest stuff or about a new shiny toy, now she cries because she goes to sleep hungry every night. She gets food in priority whenever we have some, but even giving her two meals a day requires a miracle. As for us, one meal every other day has become normal.

One kilo of flour is $100. The merchants only accept cash and the commission rate is around 50%. That means we would need $200 so my family of ten can get just one kilo of flour and still be hungry at the end of the day. And even then, we won’t buy a full kilo, because we need to secure rent too, which is $1,300 a month. That’s why we’re so hungry still.

Please help us. Even if you just have $5, even if you can only share, please do it. I swear we need help or we won’t make it.

This is not just a photo it’s our daily reality in Gaza.

I am a father of five, living under the harshest conditions imaginable. My children go to bed hungry most nights, and I feel helpless watching them suffer. There is no food, no clean water, and no safety.

and my health is deteriorating. I’m in pain, physically and emotionally. I want to provide for my children, to see them smile again, to give them a warm meal — even just one.

What’s happening here is not a natural disaster. It is forced starvation. It is the slow death of innocent people, especially children, because they are being denied food and aid.

There is a standard media depiction of a "healed" person. Someone who has Gone To Therapy. I've noticed this in a few works recently. We often see them at the end of a story, maybe in a "ten years later" epilogue. They speak in a soft, serene voice. They have Accepted what they cannot change. They have let go of a lot, including most of what we see them actually care about in the story itself. They are Happy, At Peace, in some non-descript way. They bare little resemble to the person we were actually shown. They bare little resemblance to any person. We were shown, as we usually are in stories, an agent, a desirer, someone becoming. Now they have Become. And they look back on all that silly becoming as something childish that they have moved past. Fire, you know, fire is for children who don't know any better. To be Healed is to have your fire rightly extinguished; to not even miss it.

Last night was terrifying beyond words.

The explosions were so loud, it felt like our ears would burst.

The ground shook violently.

Our hearts were pounding like they would explode from our chests.

They bombed a UN-run health clinic right next to us.

There were displaced families inside, and dozens of tents around it.

People were given just 20 minutes to evacuate and run for their lives.

It was a nightmare. Most left behind the few belongings they had and fled in panic.

Death was breathing just steps away.

Even places that are supposed to be safe are being destroyed.

The war is intensifying, and so is the hunger.

We’re not just hungry, we’re starving.

What you hear in the media about aid reaching Gaza is a cruel illusion.

Trying to reach even a loaf of bread can cost your life.

Prices are beyond reason, and there’s barely anything left to buy.

Gaza is being slowly strangled.
