Winter Wonderland

My Kore. My sweet child has returned from the Underworld, tainted. I am just heartbroken. How could she do this to me? Choose this man over her own Mother? While Kore was in the Underworld, she ate seeds of a pomegranate. Now she’ll have to split her time with me to do her Spring Goddess duties, and I suppose her duties as the new Queen of the Underworld. I can’t say that I’m happy at all when she left me for the Underworld. I refused to tend my Divine duties and caused the mortal realm to turn into a winter wonderland.

Zeus intervenes

Zeus saw the devastating path my wrath had laid on the land of the mortals and nymphs.  He sent Hermes to me to meet with him to speak on the matter. I told him I just wanted my little Kore back. I’m sure that devious devil Hades had corrupted her sweet, pure-of-heart mind. When Hermes went to the Underworld and back, I just couldn’t believe my ears! The Roanoke River Side

At first, my life was in turmoil without my Kore at my side.  I mean, how could she betray me for the likes of Him. Hades. The King of the Underworld.  Two sides of the coin, she creates life, and he is the harbinger of death. For 9 days straight I searched the Earth for my little Kore. All I could find was her belt on the side of The Roanoke River.  Hecate approached me at last and said They had left for his realm in the Underworld.  I was enraged, my wrath knew no bounds. I reined down fury on the nymphs and mortals alike.
