i realise this is a bit weird to post about so if you dont respond 100% understand. but i wanted you to know i really appreciated the bit about shaving pubic hair. cause i feel like no one talks about it yet it very much is a thing. and one that i think most people feel self conscious about. yet most times in smut, hair/feelings about hair get glossed over (sometimes to the point of me just wondering if everyone is just bare). tbh you adding realistic bits make you one of my favourite authors!

What kind of and what level of feminine beauty is she expected to perform for him now? She knows how to act in other contexts, but what about now?

Similar things happening to Percy with his complete inability to hold onto his dom persona. Basically, they both finally feel totally secure and stable in the relationship and where it's going, but it's also completely uncharted territory as well. Next chapter should show them getting more settled into a routine with it all.

Technically, Anders was drinking on the job. But also technically, he was rarely ever off the job. And his boss had been encouraging him to let loose a little and enjoy the vacation. His boss, of course, being the King of Sweden. Father to a darling young girl he’d known since she was a baby. Ambritt was like ... well not a daughter to him. A niece. Yes, she was like a niece to him. 

So it made all of that plenty awkward for both of them. He had suspicions about the need for discretion, and her own assistant was relatively new. It would be better for him to handle it. Didn’t mean he didn’t regret doing it. 

There were some concerns Ambritt was dating a homosexual. Well, Anders certainly found that hard to believe. 

“Ah, Anders!” The King’s voice said as he entered the room. 

Anders set his drink down and turned to bow. “Your majesty,” he said. 

“I’m glad to see you finally enjoying yourself,” the King said with a smile, before placing his order. “Has someone found Ambritt and brought her inside. You know how she loses track of time on that mountain, and it is really important she shows up to dinner tonight,” the King said. 

Anders tried not to flush. “The princess hasn’t left her room all day, Your Majesty,” he said. 

“She hasn’t? Is she alright?” The King asked, new concern on his face. 

“Oh, fine, she’s fine,” Anders assured him. “She and Don Pedro simply … decided to spend today enjoying the lodge's amenities.” 

The King seemed … pleased by this news, if not a bit confused by it. That his daughter had spent the day inside to indiscreetly share the private company of a man she was not married to didn’t seem to bother him at all. He had to wonder if the King was simply indifferent to his daughter’s sexual affairs or completely ignorant to the ones that weren’t front page news. Anders had not seen the King with a woman in over twenty years now. Maybe it was the martini thinking, but he had to wonder if the King remembered what sex was. 

“Don Pe --? Oh Percy, right. Remind me to invite him to Stockholm one of these day,” the King said, grabbing his drink and heading back out of the room in a flash, as Anders typed a reminder into his phone, before alerting a few relevant parties that the Spanish almost-prince would likely be joining them in Sweden soon. Don Pedro certainly wouldn’t be able to ignore the invitation of the King. Not if he ever hoped to marry their princess. Anders hoped he did. He couldn’t remember ever seeing Ambritt so happy.

Based on some comments I've gotten on other posts, I get the sense that people perceive Camp as this place that is completely isolated from news, pop culture, and even main stream education. I think the show has only further contributed to this sense by saying that Annabeth has never seen a movie, and that she's never heard of Disney World. Like .... What do you mean? She ran away when she was seven, not when she was two. And went back briefly to live at home one other time before TLT. You're telling me Fred Chase didn't at least show her like ... Saving Private Ryan (me trying to think of a wwii movie)? Or that non-year-round campers have never talked about Disney or Disney World?

My sense of Camp has always been that they do have access to information from the outside world. Like, in the first book they know about the increasing number of "natural disasters" that mortals are reporting. Hell, someone got a news paper. I also get the sense that there is some kind of formal education for them. Annabeth jumps back into regular school with seemingly relative ease. Clarisse seems to be exclusively a year-round camper from a young age, and now she's just in regular college. Surely she's taken Algebra II at some point.

Idk what is everyone else's perception of Camp, and it's relationship to the "real world"? Or let me know if Rick confirmed what daily year-round life is like in one of those dumb Solangelo books I'll never read.
