Listen, Barbara Lee and Karen Bass are legitimate options for Vice President.
But the Sanders people putting Nina Turner on their list makes it hard to take it seriously.

Saying Biden is progressive is wrong, I am sorry. I do not own the label, but it is simply not representative for Biden. It is like calling him a Nazi and when people say you are wrong telling them "you do not own the label, I think he is a Nazi and that's that". He is a democrat and maybe a liberal, but his policies do not fit the description of what most progressives consider "progressive". It is more honest and respectable to own up to what you are than to lie. It does not mean he is bad.
Again, you don’t own the progressive label. And I don’t even understand your weird Nazi example. Biden would push for legislation that would take us in the right direction; progress. You and other self described progressives don’t own the term. “Progressive: one believing in moderate political change and especially social improvement by governmental action” - Miriam Webster.

Thank you for understanding that 2020 is not 2016!!! Thank you for understanding, no matter how upsetting, that Hillary was unpopular to voters in Michigan and Wisconsin. Thank you for understanding that Biden is outperforming Hillary and could actually be the turnout candidate. It’s like you actually understand politics and governing and aren’t brainwashed by an old white man telling you exactly what you want to hear.
No two elections are ever the same. Now there’s a lazy comparison between Trump 2020 and Nixon 1968, which is completely bonkers for several reasons.

silly of anon to ask that question, Biden's already a republican in all but name and you've been rallying behind him for months, pretty sure you'd love a republican vp
I never supported Biden in the primary. I never voted for Biden in the primary. But he’s the Democratic nominee.

It's kinda sad when you can say Biden is merely a sexual harasser, not an assaulter. But you know, Bernie was the real sexist in the race :)

Joe Biden is not progressive. Is his platform more progressive than some prior democratic platforms? Sure. But you can't just label it "progressive". The platform falls short of many progressive goals, such as single-payer and green new deal. And that is fine, clearly Joe Biden won and we should accept that his ideology won. But to call it progressive seems dishonest. Not being progressive is not bad. It is just not an accurate label for him, and it feels like appropriation of the term.
You don’t own the label “progressive”. It means different things to different people. Some people define it narrowly, some people define it broadly.

Interesting article that addresses;
1) Reade’s own changing story.
2) The changing story of some of her outcry witnesses.
3) The lack of a record Reade has suggested exists.
4) Reade’s own inconsistent history with journalists.

Remember how in 2016 Trump’s entire pitch to black voters was “What the hell do you have to lose [by voting for me]?”
Well...

Would you be fine voting for Biden even if he picked a Republican to be his VP?
Would you vote for Bernie Sanders if ran naked through the streets of DC?

If Joe wanted progressives to vote for him, maybe he should introduce actually interesting policies :)
Just Biden is running on the most progressive platform in Democratic history.
Just because it isn’t progressive enough for you, doesn’t mean its not progressive.

Biden is a horrible candidate... He is weak, has too many fishy dealings behind the scenes, and is waaaay to the right of even Hillary. No way he can beat Trump unless the economy totally crashes.
Looks like the economy is totally crashing, so.

“But they’re still wary”. This is my concern with Sanders voters. That Joe Biden could adopt Sanders’ agenda verbatim, literal cut and paste, and they still wouldn't vote for him BECAUSE HE’S NOT BERNIE. We saw that with Warren. They were just waiting for the slightest change, the slightest misstep, to turn on her. Even though she agrees with Bernie on literally almost everything.
Bernie’s movement isn’t about ideology or ideas. Its about Bernie.

Medicare for All is not nationalized healthcare.
Medicare for All is universal health insurance.
Support or oppose, let’s learn the difference.

Any Bernie supporter who was expecting Biden to completely collapse in a one-on-one debate must be very disappointed right now.
I don’t know if Biden won the debate.
But he certainly held his own.

First it was Elizabeth Warren’s fault for not endorsing.
Now it’s AOC’s fault for not campaigning enough.
When will Sanders and his campaign just admit that they ran a bad campaign?
