If I had a nickel for everytime Wonderlands x Showtime had their main story shown/referenced by an official video made by the JP server (2DMVs and other animations), I'd have three nickels.

Which isn't a lot, but it was funny that it happened twice, surprising but not surprising that it happened thrice (Gunjou Sanka 2DMV, Mr. Showtime's puppet show, and Journey to Bloom).

No because Emukanaan event would be pure gold. Like yes obviously they share the topic of grief, but also:

- Kanade keeps composing because her dad wanted to. Emu saves the park because her grandfather loved it. An keeps on singing because Nagi wanted her to go beyond the dream she didn't have the time to accomplish.

- An pushes forward no matter what until she can't. Kanade composes and composes day and night until she physically can't anymore. Emu puts other's happiness before her own.

- "oh no, a Problem. I will now proceed to avoid thinking about it until I absolutely have to face it"

- All the three of them are so, so kind. All three of them keep being kind and loving despite every bit of grief they've faced. All of them keep being kind despite the world being very cruel to them.

- Emu and An's energy contrasting Kanade's

- the way An and Kanade are very, very hard to anger and how rarely they lash out, but oh. When they do. When they do.

Every time I go to an event after-show for a group that isn't WxS there's at least 1 person that sends a donation message saying "WxS better" or "Tsukasa is superior" or smth completely unrelated to the event and it's so fucking annoying

Yeah there may be hardships coming up ahead that could be really tough, WOULDNT YOU KNOW COLORPALET WHY DID YOU NEED TO WRITE THAT INTO THE SCRIPT 3 TIMES IN A ROW.

I hate this trope or just specific line, it feels like the writers winking like I KNOW YOU KNOW HOW THE STORY GOES (i'm not actually mad but this just makes me go crazy /pos)

You know the only real negative to being a WxS fan is to sometimes have people just push the easy "actually uhmm you're overthinking it and WxS should be allowed to be Happy yknow ☝️🤓" because there are a few younger fans who overexagerate certain aspects of characters.

Obviously that's not really a super big deal cause obviously people who have been in the fandom for like more than a week would know about WxS's story and it's more dramatic moments (like every unit has this nobody is excluded).

But it's just a Really easy button to push for some people when they are put off by something.

Especially with characters like Tsukasa because people will go out of their way to explain how he's got No Issues because they got mad that a few people on Twitter/Tiktok think he's depressed. Like going the opposite way is just as shallow, Tsukasa is just a Dude.

Like pointing out that "huh, this play in this WxS event is about a dude who wants to drown himself, that's really dark, i wonder why they'd do that" or like "Mafuyu and Tsukasa really are similar in certain ways".

I'm talking about Tsukasa a lot but he's the one who gets the most butchered by the dumb discourse even though he's not my fav.

Obviously WxS are silly but so is 25ji or Leo/need or MMJ or VBS

rui subconsciously preparing himself for rejection even when he first meets wxs… ough my heart </3

obviously the main story is meant to introduce rui’s eccentricities comically, but is it just me or is he also just testing tsukasa in ch 9?

he reads tsukasa’s script and then goes on to suggest LIGHTNING. as if conjuring concentrated electricity is the most normal thing in the world. and he KNOWS he seems insane for it

he even highlights the danger of it to tsukasa, making it seem like he’s not prioritizing tsukasa’s safety at all, even though we know damn well he would beat himself up over it if he actually hurt anyone. (hell, the first wxs event was literally all about that) like, it very much seems like rui is exaggerating his own eccentric nature

and then when tsukasa is apprehensive about the idea, he’s dramatic, pulling out puppy eyes and seemingly joking around about leaving

and it might seem like some funny manipulative farce to force tsukasa to let rui test out whatever ideas he had, but alternatively, it might’ve just been a farce put up in order for rui to protect his feelings. he saw that tsukasa was backtracking, not actually as willing to surpass expectations as he claimed, so rui was genuinely going to leave, likely because he didn’t want to face tsukasa’s rejection and judgement. he had exemplified the risk, knowing how any normal person would react to it, because then he could just say “oh well, i knew nobody would want to do anything this crazy anyways.” he didn’t actually believe that someone would accept him or his ideas and was prepared to be alone as per usual

which is why it makes sense that he’s surprised when tsukasa (albeit reluctantly) actually AGREES to the lightning

it’s too good to be true, so he throws more crazy ideas at tsukasa: a flamethrower, launching tsukasa w jets installed in the stage; trying to push him away before rui can feel the pain of rejection again

yet, tsukasa rises to meet rui’s challenges anyway

rui has FINALLY found people who are ready to carry out his ideas to the best of their abilities and he’s noticeably happier, which nene points out

after nene and rui part, he’s off excitedly shopping for parts and gadgets for the show. he’s found a place where he belongs. where he doesn’t have to face rejection anymore. where he has people who will support and actually fulfill his ideas. people who will see him as more than just a weirdo. he doesn’t have to be alone anymore.

this idea of a found home in wxs is reiterated in every rui event, and to think he was once afraid that they might reject him too </3

every (early) emu event AND THE MAIN WXS STORY is like “I need to be happy to make everyone else happy I can’t show anything other than joy my purpose is just to make others smile if I’m sad it’s my problem only I have to deal with everything on my own” & she canonically helped nene with math and got the third highest score on a test (which ppl did not believe) and wants to learn about the logistics of running PXL only to be barred from it by her brothers and has insane emotional intelligence to the point where she can point out things that everybody else fails to notice in people she’s not even close to & yet everyone is like “emu is dumb and silly that’s all there is to her character.” Pointing to rui saying “without you none of us (wxs) would be here” do not disrespect my girl. she is the heart of wxs. Emotional core of wxs. Gets along with literally everyone. Make no mistake she *is* silly goofy with powers scaling based on looney toons logic but she is also just as deep of a character as every other pjsk character. She has so much depth. Come with me and analyze emu… she is so fascinating… also she is canonically strong & smart as fuck she just dresses/acts whimsical because she enjoys it and it makes other ppl happy. & she is hysterical. Canonically digs holes around wxs to jumpscare people and has access to a hazmat suit she used while cleaning the wonder stage.
