youre missing the point. certainly plenty of autistic people make art; there are also plenty of people who do not engage in any sort of creative activity and never will. he is leveraging the exact belief youre presenting- that art is a critically important part of being human, instinctual even, to erase their humanity. this is a very old eugenic tactic and you are helping it whenever you insist that making art is core to being human.

some people will never do anything in their life but eat, sleep, and rest in bed. by your metric, they are missing something critical to being human. i simply dont agree and think theyre as human as the rest of us whether they do anything artistic or not. let go of the insistence that art is necessary to being human. all it does is empower those who wish to decide who deserves to live and who does not.
