my biggest piece of advice for newly out trans people is to remember your first time presenting in your ideal gender may not go perfectly. you may think you know what kind of presentation you want and find it doesn't turn out how you imagined, or think it looks unflattering on you. but you have to remember you're esentially doing puberty 2, all your cis peers have had SO much longer to cultivate their style. have you ever seen how preteens dress themselves? its experimental and goofy. it comes with bad makeup and unfitting mismatched clothes and straightener fried hair. 90% of the style choices people make at 13 are things they would laugh at 10 years later. nobody nails it the first time. but you'll get there eventually. don't give up on yourself.

i check bds target boycott list pretty regularly and god i truly live in constant rage that major companies with immoral, unethical monopolies on the market force consumer complicity in genocide. this isn't a "no ethical consumption under capitalism so do whatever" kind of nihilistic post btw. that is not an excuse for inaction. i thoroughly believe in doing what you can. every bit helps. but it is so hard not to despair. i am expressing genuine rage at how major corporations and tech companies have made themselves practically indispensable in so many people's everyday lives, so they can fund and facilitate imperialism and mass slaughter against Palestinians, Congolese, Sudanese, and millions of people.
