Was thinking about Molly Origins again and Molly’s choir practice and realized that Molly would fit in very well amongst the Golden Grin;

The goals of the Golden Grin are to inspire and teach the downtrodden and to fight corruption among the powerful, whether through subtly inciting rebellion or, rarely, direct involvement. The Golden Grin more generally encourages freedom of expression and a belief in the potential of the common folk, even engaging in acts of heroism themselves if there are no local heroes to be found.

So. Molly Lives AU where the Nein encounter Shakäste more often and grow close enough to him that he tells them about the Grin and that he’s a Grinner. And Molly hears this, remembers doing choir practice while with the circus, and immediately wants in. I doubt Shakäste would indulge him right away, but post peace talks? I think that would do it. And I think that Grinner Molly would perhaps take an active role in helping Beau and Caleb take down the Assembly post-canon and maybe he’d even be at the Malleus Key during the Solstice with them, years down the line.

Also, given that a lot of the Grin are bards and bard Molly is extremely vibes. Molly multiclasses bard in this AU :3

the fact that Caleb and Tealeaf both have little pet names for each other is the sweetest thing actually. Caleb's Mr. Mollymauk, and Molly's teasing little Mr. Caleb. Circus Man and Magic Man. Both of them calling each other, "good boy," at some point. King still remembering that Caleb is his Magician. They can't help but use these little endearments with each other, they're just that terribly fond and affectionate--

this Circle is always going through motions to help each other even when they think it might be hopeless. Edgar does his checkups on the team and can't conclude anything and says as much. Leo uses the bleed detector on Malcolm ("I love the checkups!") despite openly saying he doesn't know what he'd do if the outcome was a bad reading. They laugh as Malcolm tells him, shoot me with my own rifle. Shit's all fucked up 10 ways from Sunday but they are still here descending into the abyss together
