It looks lovely, but the damned thing is clearly haunted. (But, I love it.) "Known in The Old Town as “The Lavender house” the dusty lavender exterior of this Victorian villa immediately signals that careful thought has gone into its renovation and presentation by its current artist owner." Located in Hastings, East Sussex, UK, the 4bd, 2ba, 1,086sqft villa is priced at $1,215,746.00 approx. USD.

Enter.
Tumblr media
I think that these are the doors to the sitting room.
Tumblr media
Okay, this is different. Looks like a very small reception room.
Tumblr media
Then you go in here. Look at the wide plank flooring.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This must be the kitchen.
Tumblr media
So interesting!
Tumblr media
Cool.
Tumblr media
Love this.
Tumblr media
On to the next room.
Tumblr media
I don't know, maybe it's a bedroom.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Looks like a sewing room. It does get a lot of light.
Tumblr media
Cozy bedroom.
Tumblr media
Oh, wow, look at this. Is that the toilet or the sink?
Tumblr media
Larger bedroom.
Tumblr media
Bd. #2 isn't a bad size.
Tumblr media
Now, we're on an upper level, possibly the 3rd floor.
Tumblr media
This room seems a little dark.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh, look at this bath. Marble sink. Note that there's no mirror- perfect for vampires.
Tumblr media
Look at the cool plumbing.
Tumblr media
This bedroom has stairs to another floor.
Tumblr media
Isn't that interesting? There's a little door to a bathroom.
Tumblr media
That's an antique washstand adapted to a sink.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Adorable little garden.
Tumblr media
Picturesque street. Love this house so much.

Yesterday when I got to the textile center there were 4 visitors kinda crowded around my loom looking at it and like leaning over and examining how it worked, so when I came up and was like "hello!" and took a seat they were like "oh!! Is this your loom? Can we ask you questions about it??"
So of course I was like "yeah sure!" and the one lady goes "where does the color come from??? How does it get between the white threads?" At which point I was like OHHH their baseline knowledge is like. Zero. So I got to show them how the bobbin goes in the shuttle, and how the treadles raise the different shafts to let you pass the shuttle through, and how the pattern depends on the way the loom is threaded and the order you raise the shafts, etc etc etc and they were SO engrossed. I loooove when people ask me questions about how it works cus it's so fun watching them be like :0!!!!

there was this post that lives rent-free in my mind where a commenter mentioned some man at a ren faire saying that people "back then" couldn't make super thin thread because the machines for them hadn't been invented yet. despite that the commentor was CLEARLY spinning thread on a spindle.
and like if i can spin thin ass yarn without even having really planned to ahead of time, after only a year and change of spinning, then i think your ancestor brunhilda who's been spinning since she was old enough to understand and execute instructions can probably spin threads you cannot even begin to imagine.

Sweetbriar Afghan Square, a free crochet pattern designed by Melinda Miller on Ravelry.
"Known as the Sweetbriar Rose because of the strongly apple scented leaves, this is a favorite English native that has been recorded in literature from Chaucer to Shakespeare. In various cultures the Sweetbriar Rose has been a symbol of love, beauty, and poetic inspiration."
