I replayed Half-Life 2: Episode 2 and I'm ngl, the hunters are legit some of my favourite enemies in any game I've played. Not only does the design go crazy, but the different methods of killing them are all so fucking fun (my preferred method being getting them to cover a random physics prop with their own flechettes and then pelting it back at them).

So yea I like them quite a bit

Replaying Portal Stories Mel and I completely forgot how much I LOVE Virgil. He's such an endearing and likeable character to me and his dynamic with Mel is surprisingly wholesome as well.

I'm also obsessed with his design - it does a great job at conveying his link to Old Aperture, specifically the 1970s era (the 70s Aperture logo being his eye and the floral pattern both highlight this) and his orange/brown colour scheme makes him stand out from the other cores in a good way. Peak character as far as I'm concerned

Update on this blog and what my future plans for it are going to be

Sup to anyone reading this. Since it's late on a Sunday night atm and I feel bad about my recent inactivity on here, I wanna explain why I've not posted much and what I'm going to do on this blog going forward.

First of all, the two main reasons why I've not been very active are:

My drawing tablet taking a while to arrive, therefore not having any new art to post (aside from my previous post, which was sorta meant to act as a last hurrah in terms of mouse art)

I've kinda not been doing too well for the past month or so (hell, this year in general hasn't been great for me), mostly because of constantly making stupid mistakes and facing harsh reality checks that have sorta killed my motivation and drive to really do anything productive - Granted, I've always struggled to focus on getting stuff done, but this last month particularly has been rough

While I'm not exactly feeling much better right now, I really want to do more stuff on here, because I honestly feel bad for not posting much recently. That, and it would probably be fun and make me feel better overall.

As for what I want to do specifically, I'm obviously going to get back on the drawing grind when my tablet comes, but I also don't want to make this blog solely a place to dump my art. I'm mainly interested in posting more loosely about things I'm interested in; whether it's sharing my brief, sporadic thoughts about a particular subject, or going more in-depth on things that I'm passionate about. None of this is 100% guaranteed and whether I end up following through with any of this or not remains to be seen, but I'm hopeful that I will for now. (There’s also one additional thing I’ve considered doing, but I won’t elaborate on that in case it doesn’t go anywhere)

Went on your blog and, wow okay I probably should’ve looked harder, I didn’t know there was that much great art of them😭 (I’ll still be drawing them tho)

Currently fixated on Half Life for the millionth time ATM and I fear that Gordon x Shephard is my new favourite toxic yaoi. I may need to draw them myself at some point because there’s not nearly enough art of them together
