When the colder months arrive, and the sky shifts into dark blues and greys, snowflakes are twirling around in the cold breeze and the ground is covered in a thick white blanket of snow, Dabi is in heaven. He can finally walk outside without overheating and without accidentally burning holes in his clothes. The snowflakes kissing his skin and the cold breeze brushing past him feel amazing against his scars and heated skin. Along with that relief it also brings back the rare happy memories he has from the past, when on hot summer days and nights his mother created cute little ice sculptures he could hold against his skin, and on cold snowy days they would all go out to create snow angels and snowmen.

So while your boyfriend is making the most out of it, walking around shirtless with all the windows open to let the cold air flow in, you’re here shivering from the cold despite being wrapped up in your thickest blanket and wearing your (dabi’s) hoodie and fluffy socks. You could ask him to close a few windows, or turn the heat up, and you know he would do it despite liking it colder but you hate it when he’s in any type of discomfort. After surviving the hot summer days by spending hours in cold baths and under cold showers, putting ice compressors into the pockets of his jacket, and sitting in front of the AC for most of the day, you’re happy that he finally has some relief from the constant burning and blistering. You’re not going to let a little discomfort from the cold ruin the joy and relief he gets once every year.

So you’re surprised when he closes the windows and crawls under the blanket with you, wrapping his arms tightly around your waist and pressing a few tender kisses to your cheek and neck.

“You’re shivering, doll, why didn’t you tell me it was too cold for you hm? ”He mumbles into the skin of your neck

You can feel your entire body warming up now that you’re in his arms. He’s still warm despite the constant cold air flowing through the windows. There’s something comforting about the warmth he radiates, and you’re sure it’s not from his quirk. Something about Dabi is just warm and gentle.

“I know how much you enjoy the cold, and how good it feels against your scars, I’m not going to ruin that for you.”

“I don’t care-”

“I do”

It’s amazing how selfless he can be when it comes to you. You can count on him to make sure you’re happy, safe, and comfortable forever, no matter what it costs.

Sighing you turn yourself around in his arms to face him. When you gaze into his gorgeous blue eyes, their softness seems to grow bigger every time

“Dabi, open the windows”

he presses a kiss to your forehead and leans more of his weight on you.

“Nope” >:)

He’s impossible.

“Okay, then how about I open the windows, You make me some hot chocolate, well ditch the blankets, and you’ll keep me warm by cuddling me?”

“Doll,” he begins in protest

“It will be fine! you and the hot chocolate will keep me warm enough. C'mon”

Before you can slide out of his grip, he squeezes you tighter against him and presses a big wet kiss to your cheek as a silent thank you. After that he lets go of his grip on you and gets up to prepare you your hot chocolate. Making sure to add extra wipped cream and chocolate sprinkles.

“I love you, doll” he calls out from the kitchen. The sweet aroma of hot chocolate swirling through the air.

“I love you too”
