Got three moodboards to share: two for Weave The Threads of Blood and one for its prequel, By The Gold of Grace.

The first moodboard reflects the journeys, ambitions and general aesthetics of the main nine OCs of the Weave The Threads of Blood WIP (which takes place in the base game). A second moodboard focusing on the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC & the main 9 OCs final arcs and journeys in Weave The Threads of Blood. And finally, a third moodboard for By The Gold of Grace WIP, focusing on Logan's story, ambitions and journey before the events of Weave The Threads of Blood.

The core 9 OCs the Weave The Threads of Blood moodboards focuses on are:

Meanwhile the By The Gold of Grace moodboard mostly focuses on Logan the Vagabond of No Renown. Although, the centerpiece of these moodboards entirely reflects Logan's deepest desire/what he will do to get to that desire... and Chiwa's placement in the center of both the Weave The Threads of Blood moodboards is not a coincidence either.

Here's the first moodboard for Weave The Threads of Blood, mostly reflecting the main ambitions, alignments, journeys, and aesthetics of the core 9 OCs of mine in this WIP. If you follow the order of characters above the cut, you can probably guess who is where. Same thing for the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC moodboard after this one. Man, Chiwa and the other Tarnished's journeys make me feel things.

Second moodboard focuses more on the endgame of Weave The Threads of Blood which also includes the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC and the ends of the core OC's journeys in the Land Between and Land of Shadows. Formula for order of Weave The Threads of Blood OCs follows as above. Chiwa's mission in the Land of Shadow is kind of funny because she goes in there get one guy (Messmer) to avoid sacrificing Melina, only to end up coming back with 20+ people plus the misbehaving little demigod causing trouble there (Miquella).

And lastly the moodboard for By The Gold of Grace, focusing on Logan's journey as he travels alongside Melina and Torrent throughout a Lands Between creeping on the end of the Shattering, one of the earliest Tarnished to awaken, and even meets some familiar faces in his travels.

um. hiiiii so it's been a minute. but was tagged today by beloveds @poetikat and @blissfulalchemist for wip wednesday and. crawling out of my hole to actually post.

deep in the rogue trader brainrot so. today i offer you that. lil snippet of a jae and sidonia thing i've been kicking around below cut (i know most of the moots don't go here so an extra serious no pressure on top of the always no pressure)

“Listen, shereen. I know that I’m not always the best at playing by the rules, but I do believe in playing fair.”  Sidonia cannot help but crack a smile at that. “Do you forget I have played cards with you, Jae?” she teases, grin widening as she shakes her head. “I’ve never seen you play a game you couldn’t rig. The hits my coffers take from the tricks up your sleeve would ruin someone without a Warrant of Trade to their name.” “A stacked deck for a stacked deck!” Jae exclaims, eyebrows raised. “That is the very definition of fairness.” Her smile drops just a hair, just enough to signal to Sidonia she is supposed to take the next part as sincere, but not so far as serious. “I would never dare cause you any loss I didn’t think you had the abundance to bear.”  Sidonia laughs, trailing off into a thoughtful hum as she begins to restlessly tap her finger atop the table. “I believe you.”  “And besides,” Jae adds, “most of our bets aren’t even for money, but for the far more valuable currency of pride.” “Yes, well…” Sidonia’s fingers stop their tapping. “I have taken some hits there as well, lately.”  A second too long of responding silence forces Sidonia to think about what she’s said. “I don’t mean because —”  “I believe you,” Jae assures faster than Sidonia can actually begin her clarification. Jae is perhaps being too fair, Sidonia thinks, watching her fix the accommodating smile back on her face. “And any wrong I have done to you, I wish to make right.”  “You haven’t —” Sidonia’s brow knits. “Well, I mean, you did — But not — nothing you need to — I mean, you don’t have anything to make up to me. I don’t —” She groans, running her hands over her face. “Throne’s sake, can we go back to not talking about it?”

I rly hate the Satanic Panic & the moral panic surrounding violence in video games in the 90s, coz it's now impossible to talk about the social implications of violent video games in a realistic sense.

No, violence in video games does not create serial killers in the way most people imagine it would.

However, it's very important to notice how after 9/11, a lot of violent video games pivoted their content from silly gratuitous cartoon gore to more realistic military shooters set in the Levant from a US American lens. It's also important to notice the connection of these games & their toxic online multi-player voice chats to Gamer Gate in 2014.

It's obviously not as black & white as it was presented in the 80s & 90s, I dont think everyone who played early Call of Duty games is a white supremacist who wants to join the military to kill people in the middle east, but I think it's dangerous to pretend like video games or any media can't have an impact on the way people think about violence.

I think what makes all the difference here is how that violence is portrayed, what the message behind it is, what the motives are behind the people who crafted that message, who the victims of that violence are, how they are portrayed & the greater cultural context that surrounds it.

i do think there should be more stories and shows and stuff about guys falling in love with butch women actually, i think that’d be a good thing. and not ‘this is as butch as twitter can handle’, i mean butch as can fucking be without apology, and making those boys weak in the knees about it. i think it’s great actually to have f/m romances that exist to break gender norms, too. i think it sucks that the only mainstream het romances that exist are either about women who are already feminine or with women who are just a little too scarily masculine and have to be fixed into being girlier. that’s shit.
