Searching
Searching for the thing that will make the difference in my life, is it the glow of things that shine so bright or is it the gentle touch of another that fulfills my desire. I’m having visions of accomplishment that seem to be untouchable, but somewhere in my mind and heart, I see and feel it right beside me.
Sometimes the search can get weary, but just as I began to take that step, the step to no return, I realize that giving up leaves you with no options. But right as that happened, I saw a light shinning right in the corner of my right eye and it brought a truth that what I’ve been searching for is in my grasp and it’s me. Me as in you, so believe in you and your search is over.
Believing in you as I do me,

Distortion
I see with my eyes but the news tell me different. Is it an illusion or is the truth staring me in the face without me knowing? I only perceive this, because my thoughts and feelings lead me to what I want and that is what’s real. But I stop and ask myself, should I or shouldn’t I dare to see past what is put in front me or should I claim my reality that bonds in harmony with my heart and soul? Don’t once again ask me the question, do I believe, because in the presence of physical reality the truth doesn’t exist. It is only a distortion of what is true and what I believe in. Come please share with me this journey to your reality, because from where we stand if we look with our eyes wide open, we will only see and not feel what is present and that is the distortion. But don’t forget that the reality of your truth lives inside you and don’t ever stray from it or forget it, because with that you’ll be in truth and peace forever. But as I turn the page that brings us to what we celebrate, I say I’m thankful everyday, not just during a time when we are corralled to express that feeling, but in a way where we must allow it to be in our everyday and in every moment in which we visualize the presence of that feeling. So I’ll give way and say Happy Thanksgiving to all with love. With that I’ll just say, I love you as you love yourself, Deryo

Where are you (When I need You)?An Ode to Friendship and Lovers
Where are you when I need you? Could it be, that you don’t see me and I’m just a reflection of your needs as you look at me through your eyes? Treated like a common mistake with no value other than what helps you pass your time of day. If you for one moment think of me in a way that is not of yourself, then maybe you can see me standing there full of love and friendship, with a desire to help you go along the road you choose to travel alone. Where are you when I need you, because I think and feel that I’m all-alone, with no way to turn, because you’re in my way. The way that I travel is to implement the hope, that we are we and not, you are you just not seeing me. I stand here like this asking, where are you when I need you? I'm right here, Deryo http://www.deryo.com/

Little Things Do Count
Based on the philosophy of living through seconds, minutes, hours and days, we sometimes tend to over look the importance of each moment that we live in. Like remembering to say hi, I love you or making plans for the next day or future. Every time we let a moment go by without viewing, feeling, seeing and living it, we take away from the importance of the life we live. Is there ever a time when we have the opportunity to do nothing? For instance I was relaxing on the deck in the back of my house taking some sun in and listening to some music while watching the birds flying and landing in the trees. I was seemingly doing nothing. But within each moment that we live, stands an event that contributes to creating how we think, react and live our lives. This moment allowed me to relax my body and mind in order to project attentively in to my very near future. The point being, always be aware of the moment and all the choices it has to bring.

You and Your Reflection
Some people struggle to acknowledge their nationality in a way that expresses their true thoughts while respecting their background.
Truly there are two sides to the question of who you are. There’s the individual viewpoint, when you feel who you are in your heart and mind, and that’s a reflection of you dealing with yourself. But there is also the other side, when viewing where you are and who you are in dealing with others and the reality of life.
Someone told me once; “as a Black person it is important for you to always remember who came before you and what sacrifices they made, and if you can understand and respect that, it would give you a broader scope of who you really are.” I’m sure that applies to other races also.
You can express your thoughts about another person’s individual thinking, but that is sometimes useless to them, because truly it only matters what that person can understand and feel. But, when you get into associations with others, you must look at the situation through a different lens. Because no longer are you in the realm of personal thinking, because dealing with and interacting with the many, you must create a much different perception. You have to include history, worldly thought and the make up of how life and thinking is, when it comes to living among others. So think twice and answer this question: who are you and what makes it that way?
That’s life and I’m,

The Price You Pay
The price you pay for being a good person can sometimes be very challenging, but the benefits most times out weigh the negative by a long shot. Even the most simplest expression, like getting ready to enter a building at the same time as someone else. You choose to allow them to enter first, but to no avail on their part, because they didn’t even recognize your polite inclination at all, don’t give a simple thank you. Or you may be driving down the street and you have the right of way, but you choose to allow the other driver to turn first, as an act of kindness. I’m not going to explore the humongous situation that we all encounter, but for me, it’s not just the fact that they didn’t say thank you, or a simply wave with the hand. There's a price we both pay, because I don’t think they got it. It is simply love, respect and kindness. So if you find yourself in this particular situation, show some love and then pay it forward, because that’s the price we should be paying. Paying the good price and then paying it forward, Deryo

DON’T BE SO SERIOUS OR MAYBE YOU SHOULD
You know how some people tell you, that you should be able to laugh at yourself even when it makes you mad. Well my thoughts on that are when words that someone says really hurts, it’s a simple fact, that they hurt. I feel if someone wants to joke with you, then they should take heed to what your true sore points are. Because the fact of the matter is, there is always a way to adjust the things you say and be able to make the same point. It’s true one shouldn’t take every single thing serious enough for it to hurt them, but you should also watch the line of intrusion, to make sure it isn’t crossed. http://gph.is/Vww8Kn

Best Friend
How do you know who your best friend is? Is it the person you spend the most time with? Or is the person you trust the most? Or is it the person you can be yourself around and never have to worry about being judged on your thoughts and faults?
For me my best friend is a person who doesn’t judge me and accepts me for who I naturally am. With that we can find it to be a blessing, because many times we find and see so many individuals passing judgment on the next person in our society.
If we as individuals would take heed to the thoughts and feelings of others we would and could find that special way of relating to the next person. Which is simply caring what that person is saying and feeling and create a bridge to connect it to your own thoughts and feelings. This could be a way to create a self-generated positive connectional base.
We could make it an everyday part of our life, you know that positive thing you do that would create or add to that positive road in your life that brings you happiness and contentment. Think about how it would or does feel to have a lot of people truly relating to you in that manner. When you do, let me know, because you will be a part of the luckiest group of people to have experienced that situation.
Hmm, associate, that is also a meaningful word, because many times that’s what you have to work with and let’s definitely give props to that level of friendship, because it may not be the experience of having a best friend, but it also can serve as a foundation to a true friendship. What I’m truly saying is, simply take a look at what you search for in your best friend and give an associate a chance and if you discover a true friend honor it, because it is something made from a blessing.
Lets be friends,
Deryo

Do You Have Everything You Need?
If someone asked you the question, do you have everything you need, your first thought would probably be no. The reason for this is most people are on a continual search for more of whatever they need. Some would say it’s important to be of outer content, but really if you search your soul you would find there is an ever-lasting desire to consume more for growth.
By design I feel that any mind that is thinking has a trigger that gives them the drive to look for advancement in their day-to-day progression. The only situation that challenges this particular perception is, the direction and content of what you choose to allow for your mind and soul to receive.
For instance; you’re given a choice of getting a job where you would supervise people and give you what some say is power or you’re given a choice to receive a job that would allow you to work alongside others doing what you like doing most. The choice being, is what is it that determines power for you? True power is not what’s determined outwardly, because this is only a presumption that is individually assuming for your life’s prosperity. It is the thing that drives your inner being that gives you the power and not the situation that stands on the outside looking in.
So when you ask yourself, if you have everything you need, make sure within your answer there is a great factor of what it is that truly drives what you desire most and who you see yourself to be.
Still getting what I need,
Deryo

The Truth
You have a heart that shines light on the truth. Reflecting its beauty on all who stand to view, with their eyes open. With just a hint or thought of joy, you lend your knowledge to the path, which is righteous. Continue to believe in the truth, and others will believe in you, because it is his work you do. For the truth always prevail, because Love Is The Answer.

Random Acts of Kindness
Being kind is something that exists in all of us, for many it just needs to be brought to the surface. I was thinking about how people go about relating in a kind manner, why, because this is something I think about everyday, goodness. Here are 10 different ways I’ve shared a kind thought with others and some other ways I’ve seen and experienced by other people.
1. During the Christmas holiday, my daughter and myself where driving across the Bay Bridge to San Francisco and an idea popped into my mind. It was a random thought to pay the toll of the next car that came behind me through the tollgate. It was to be a thought of pure kindness without any strings attached, solely designed to share some love.
2. While surfing the net I ran across one of the most positive websites on the Internet. It’s called named the RAK (Random Acts of Kindness) and it is full of totally positive thoughts and gestures. The website is dedicated to encouraging people to help others through random acts. I feel so good about it, I feel it is only right that share with you. Definitely check it out, http://www.rak.co.nz/
3. One of my favorite acts of kindness is, when I walk by someone I’ve never met and I say hi and smile and give them a compliment and they kindly reciprocate with saying hi and a smile.
4. Another is, one time I left my lights on in my commute car one night and my neighbor knocked on my door to let me know.
5. For me and I’m sure many others, one of the top acts of kindness is when our country has a national emergency and despite our individual differences, we come together to overcome the problem.
6. When I first move into my neighborhood, my four closest neighborhoods took time to not only welcome my family and I, but went out of their way in making sure we felt welcome.
7. Each time I see an adult take time to help a young person in finding their way to stay on the right path.
8. You get to a door at a department store first and you step back to allow the people directly behind you to go in first, as you hold the door.
9. Coming off the freeway and you come to a stop light where there’s a person holding a sign saying “need food” and you have some fruit in a bag on the back floor and you reach back and give it to them along with a smile and a blessing.
10.A hot day and you come out of a ice cream parlor with an ice cream cone and you see some little kid staring at you, and you take them in to and buy them their own ice cream cone. The smile on their face is the act of kindness for me.
Showing kindness,
Deryo

Mentoring isn’t always a full time job
When it comes to sharing your time with someone, you mostly do it with your family or a close friend and you find it mostly satisfying. But there is also another very important need to be filled that deals with giving and it doesn’t have to be a lot of time involved. What I’m talking about is mentoring, taking time to spend with another in order to help them develop, control or create a better way for them. It’s taking the time to do something of consequence or value. What most people who think about mentoring may not understand is, this is also a fulfilling situation for them also, just think: to give is to receive. As you share your time, you share your thinking, love and understanding. Helping to create the possibility of encouragement and development of another human being. Is there anything greater you can do with your spare or given time? Mentoring, it can be a life changing involvement.
Giving time,

Who’s First?
For must people we know who comes first and that obviously is the one who creates the prospective for you to be first. But no, I ask the question concerning all of us who put their faith in the positive energy, which then gives us the sight to see the truth. After that, I feel if you put first the person or situation that is deserving, you in return put yourself first. When you do the right choice by putting the truth and deserving first it automatically puts you first by design. So the question is asked again, who’s first? We all are by design, if the truth prevails.
Wanting you to be first,

Life
It’s made-up by many wonders, such as the simple abilities to be able to see, hear and breathe. But truly they are not simple at all, because they are apart of the beauty of the workings of the day-to-day working body of all that live. Often we take for granted the glory that has been bestowed upon us.
But while we are on our journey through life we hopefully learn how to appreciate it. For this is one of the more important tasks we come upon on our journey through life. But one of the biggest problems we experience is the knowledge of viewing life in its most simplistic manner. Sure things can be hard, but they are only as hard as you allow them to be, because in your life you have been given the power of control, the ability to create beauty and the flow of happy or sad. So take the control that is given and apply it to your everyday living, because it is part of the destiny within your life. Its called living life, your life, so don’t just let be, be it.
Loving life at every turn,

3 Reasons Suits should be on your DVR Schedule
If you’re not watching the third season of Suits, here’s a little reminder of why you should.
1. If you hate chess…
Suits is like an epic never ending chess match, and even though I’d rather tune my piano than watch a chess match, I love watching Suits. Last season ended with Daniel Hardman getting the boot and Jessica and Harvey celebrating a win. Just when you thought it was over Big-Hurt Hardman came back and put them over a barrel. He’s got them cornered like rats in the third season, any way you slice it the little nondisclosure piece guarantees him a win and damaged nerves for the feisty Jessica Pearson. Can they handle another attack from Hardman without going belly under?
2. #Louis Litt
Where are the, I love Louis Litt hash tags on twitter? Yes Harvey and Mike are the golden boys of the show as well as the main attraction, but Louis Litt (played by Rick Hoffman) is the secret star. Hoffman gives a great beady-eyed squirrel performance as senior partner Louis Litt.
3. Jessica Pearson
It’s nice to see a woman in charge. And she never lets you forget it. Jessica’s calm and cool as the sexy queen of Pearson and Hardman.
4. I know I only promised three, but I couldn’t resist.
How about those suits? The production company is certainly not skimping on dressing its actors and actresses for the part of these high-priced lawyers.
