Hello, hi! It's been a while, but I just had this thought and wanted to share. It immediately gave me a lot of joy, so I'm hoping it'll do the same for others 💚

We love Steddie and we love platonic Stobin here, right? So, imagine whenever Steve has Eddie or Robin stay over for a night, or even a few nights.

(Of course they could both be over at the same time too because that's how we roll here)

Let's go with Stobin first

The night of Starcourt they share a bed, because Robin was absolutely not about to let Steve out of her sight after enduring another concussion. She needed to know he'd be okay while he slept.

After that night, sharing a bed was just easier. If either of them had a nightmare, the other was right there to lean on. Eventually, after learning a ton about Steve, Robin was determined to make sure that Steve knew he was loved.

Maybe she was always the first to fall asleep, but she also woke up randomly during the night without fail. One night she's ridiculously tired and a little frustrated, because she's ridiculously tired and doesn't even know why she woke up. However, she knows that physical touch helps her a lot. But Steve has his back to her this time.

Robin ultimately doesn't care. She huffs softly and snuggles right up to her best friend's back. She wiggles her arm underneath his and falls back asleep after he subconsciously places his hand over hers. This didn't happen often, but neither of them questioned it when it did.

Now for the Steddie version

Months after the whole Vecna fight, let's say that Eddie was staying with Steve for a few nights. He wakes up after a nightmare and just needs to check on Steve. Eddie makes his way down the hall and quietly opens Steve's bedroom door to peek inside. Turns out that wasn't enough to settle his panicked mind, so he goes in and checks that Steve is still breathing.

This ends up happening multiple times, until one night, Steve wakes up (not the first time that's happened either) and pulls Eddie into his bed, murmuring a soft "Go back to sleep, Eds". Eddie does go back to sleep once the two of them are situated. After that, they never sleep in separate beds again.

Much like how it happened with Robin, Eddie rolls over and wraps an arm around Steve, pulling him closer. Steve, being used to be the little spoon by now, accepts this easily and hugs Eddie's arm to his chest. He may have woken up due to being pulled backwards, but it was obvious to him that Eddie was still fast asleep.

I just feel like this would help Steve feel so loved and safe fr. Even if the Steddie version was accidental at first. I still like to think the Steve and Eddie would just fall into a pattern of cuddling after that. And maybe it becomes a more frequent and sought after thing once Eddie learns that Steve needs that in his life to feel like he's cared for.

Also, Steve falling asleep on the couch with Eddie and/or Robin and they just carefully maneuver him to where his head is laying on their lap. Then they just start running their hands through his hair while he snoozes.

If there was any confusion, yes this is a pre-Steddie imagine. Because why else would they be in separate beds to begin with?

🧠🪱Wiggly Wednesday 🧠🪱

Alright so last week's was about Steve, but today we got an Eddie brain worm wriggling around. Or two, really.

I actually head cannon that Eddie is versatile. He can and will bottom, but he prefers to top. He can and will sub, but he prefers to dom. The reason being is simply because he enjoys having people put that trust and control in his hands. And it's so much harder for him to give all that up to others. There's also just something about watching someone slip and settle into subspace.

But that's so thing he craves sometimes. He wants to be put down like that, he wants to feel fuzzy and floaty. He's just terrified that he'd be treated wrong so he doesn't let that side of him show.

With all that said, he's learned how to be a damn good dom. Aftercare is his favorite thing. He gets to watch his partner just revel in the afterglow, satisfied whether they have a tear stained face or not.

Now let's go back a few years when Eddie had his first hangover. He was miserable and bitchy, snapping at Wayne while he tried to curl up underneath blankets. Wayne leaves for a while and Eddie starts to wonder if he really messed up this time, but then his uncle comes back, spends some time in the kitchen making (in Eddie's opinion) too much noise.

Then the blankets and sheets are being ripped off of the unsuspecting Eddie, and a glass of what looks like water is being held out towards him. There's also a sandwich, but Eddie forgoes that and takes a sip of the drink. His face scrunches up and he stares at the glass in his hand, asking Wayne if he just made him drink salt water. Wayne laughs and tells him that it's unflavored Pedialyte. Eddie feels better than he thought he would after a few glasses of the Pedialyte.

Now Eddie's go to drink of choice for his subs after intense sessions? Pedialyte. It's got less sugars than most other electrolytes replenishing drinks. He sticks with the unflavored Pedialyte, just to be safe, and explains what it is before the sub drinks it.

Then he and Steve start a Dom/Sub relationship. Steve kind of laughs at the Pedialyte thing at first, not in a mean way though, it's just surprising and thoughtful. He gets used to the unflavored one. But in passing, he mentions he likes strawberry flavored drinks, and after their next session, his drink is pink and has a hint of sweetness from the strawberry flavoring; opposed to the normal clear and flavorless liquid.

And, just like every other time they've done this, Eddie makes sure Steve drinks the entire glass before he's allowed to do anything else.

And some time later, when their relationship develops into something with more feelings, Eddie learns to trust Steve with a role swap. Eddie experiences subspace for the first time, finds out just how well his aftercare tactics are when Steve does everything Eddie had done for others. And yeah, it's probably changed up a little bit to be authentic to Steve, or maybe he develops his own aftercare routine over time.

But he always makes sure that Eddie has a glass of apple flavored Pedialyte after. And he always makes sure Eddie drinks the entire glass.

I don't care if the apple flavor Pedialyte didn't exist in the 80's, it exists for Eddie in my mind. The whole Pedialyte brain worm happened because I was drinking Pedialyte last night. I did do some research on it to see when it was invented, I ended up finding out that people use it for hangovers and that's why they started marketing it towards adults. Don't know if it's true or not, but I think that's neat.

Long before he’d reached the age of 25, Steve had realized that life was a bit more fun when he didn’t hold himself to the ridiculously proper standards that his parents wanted him to.

“Unlike you, I believe it's entirely possible for someone to have a crush on you. You're just letting your cynicism blind you, Eddie, and it's actually annoying.” Eddie sneered at the ground, head and lips moving in a way meant to mock Jeff. It was childish, sure, but it was the only way Eddie could deal with what was said. He was cynical, yes, but to hear his friend say he believed there was a chance for this note to mean something? That made Eddie's skin crawl.

Rainbows after the storms were always a little bit magical, even after he’d learned how they were created. Light and water. As a kid, he never thought about the scientific aspect of it. Just thought about the mythical pot of gold at the end.

King Steve was dead, he didn't exist any more than a fucking unicorn did, but no one wanted to believe that it was true. And, well, Steve couldn't say he really blamed them for that. For a change like that to happen so suddenly, it would have to be witnessed. But god, he was so tired of proving himself to others.

The first little snippet is actually from the WIP I'll hopefully have finished and posted sometime soon! The last two...I'm not so sure about the future of those 💀

🧠🪱 Wiggly Wednesday 🧠🪱

Okay so I finally had something take over my brain for one of these things. So, please hear me out. Thank you for the tag @wheneverfeasible!

Steve develops hip problems

Just walk with me here.

I don't know how accurate any of this would be, and it's based on my (very) limited knowledge of my own hip problems. But imagine with all the years of sports, and eventually getting shoved to the ground then being yanked to the bottom of the lake and slammed onto the ground of a dry lake bed; one of Steve's hips gets jostled enough times to start causing issues.

It doesn't start until a few years after everything, but when it does start Steve just thinks it's a one time thing. He's doing stretches or some shit and his hip started to hurt and feel like it's about to pop out of the socket. He adjusts his stance, having a mini panic attack until the pain is gone. He calms himself down and eventually forgets about it.

Until it happens again.

Now, Steve laughs it off, seeing as he's with the party at the time. He stood up from fiddling with the cables behind the entertainment center, trying to find the blasted cord for the record player. He stands to full height and his hip catches, making him falter and suck in a sharp breath. But when he sees all the concerned looks, he laughs it off and tells them he stood up too fast and got a little dizzy.

Of course, with this being Steve, he doesn't say anything to anyone about it until he absolutely needs to. Imagine he and Eddie are curled up on a couch watching a movie and with the position Steve's legs are in, his hip starts to ache with that sharp pain. The only issue is that Eddie has Steve's leg trapped between his. Steve doesn't mean to but he tenses, sucks in that sharp breath again and pushes at Eddie's leg. “Off. Oh my god oh my god off.”

Eddie of course moves and sits up, wondering why the hell Steve is laughing while also looking like he's about to panic. Steve's hands are pressing into his bad hip and Eddie blinks down at his boyfriend. Steve explains that his hip was starting to hurt and answers any questions that Eddie has about it.

His hip seems to age faster than Steve does. It gets to a point where Eddie and Steve both laugh about it, especially when it happens during their spicy alone time. They both know that Steve will have to have hip replacement surgery if it gets worse, but Eddie has already promised to get him the best custom cane to ever exist if that happens.

Yeah, that's it. Just needed to add some more physical trauma to Stevie boy. No other moots to tag, but hey, I like participating sometimes
