She had tried to forget him. Because his presence had never really benefitted her. He had been selfish and what little love he might've had for her had either vanished or never existed. Because apparently she wasn't important enough to him - perhaps she had only been a tool to him - a means for power. Why else had he never tried to find her ever since she ran away? Why else was only her brother willing enough to contact her at least once? She tried not to let it affect her much but instead of healing, time only worsened the memories she had of him and her emotions transformed into tears that wouldn't stop spilling - there was a mix of sadness, homesickness and anger bubbling inside her and even clenching her teeth didn't ease the tears or the feelings. She wanted to scream but he wasn't there - nobody was and she kept her words and her voice inside. Her father wouldn't have cared for them anyways - she only wished she could care equally less about him.

6.Sliding their hand over their bottom

It was just as Beast Boy had predicted - both couples left the floor as soon as the song ended! She really hadn’t expected that! And now, it was just him and her!

“What did I tell you?”

Terra glanced at the changeling before shrugging her shoulders as another slow song began playing. “Just luck.”

“But I was still right,” he said proudly before she smiled.

“Yeah, I got it. You want your prize. Here,” she offered before moving her cheek towards him. “First prize.” She had expected the same type of kiss to come at her but for a few seconds there was only air hitting her cheek.

Until, the changeling moved her face gently so she’d face him.

“I didn’t say exactly like that, remember?” he smiled and she watched the colorful lights bounce off his face, making it almost look like he had his face painted for brief seconds.

And then she saw his face come closer…and closer - until his lips met hers.

Yes, she lost both bets but she didn’t mind losing in the slightest. Tonight, she was just having fun. She wasn’t concentrating on the swaying or the music anymore - only what was happening right now.

And right now, she not only felt his lips, but also his hands - how they held her waist and how they seemed to guide her to the rhythm of the music…but then, one of the hands seemed to travel a bit lower.

Slowly, she felt him pull away and there was a strange seriousness in his eyes. “Can I…hold you for just a bit longer?” he asked and Terra was a bit confused by that statement.

“You’re already doing that.”

“No. Not…like this. I meant lower,” he muttered in a quieter voice and she didn’t understand until she felt that hand move a little lower and she swallowed.

“Only…if you let me,” he whispered and she stared at him for a long time before nodding just once.

And with that, the hand reached its destination and to distract herself from her own nervousness, she leaned in for another kiss - so she’d be ‘working’ instead of thinking about what had just happened - even if she wasn’t that put off feeling his warm hand on her shorts.

20.Kissing them on the cheek

The changeling hadn’t been lying when he said that he could dance to three more fast-paced songs - he had danced to 4 more and didn’t seem like stopping any time soon! Terra couldn’t keep up with him and made only minor movements halfway through the 3rd one.

So that’s why she was really glad that a slow one played now and she gladly swayed from one side to the other while holding onto the shoulders of her teammate.

“You know this song counts too, right?” came the voice of Beast Boy and Terra smirked a bit.

“Are you trying to cheat or are you tired already?” she asked before hearing him scoff.

“You know we’re one of the last couples on the floor,” he stated with triumph and she glanced past his shoulder to see that the dance floor really had only maybe one or two couples left! “Bet those two are gonna leave after this song?”

“But won’t that be a bet...in another bet?” Terra asked with a chuckle.

“So? I don’t see rules that say we can’t have two at once.”

“Fine. Even if you wouldn’t really win anything.”

“Hold up! I’ve got a price in mind though,” he said after a moment of thinking before she could see a smirk on his face.

“What?”

“Maybe something like this,” he muttered before quickly pecking her on the cheek and Terra glanced at him in surprise for a moment before nodding slowly.

“Deal,” she said.

There was no way she’d deny him a kiss. But he had to earn it first.
