Hey i’m a fashion design student so i have tons and tons of pdfs and docs with basic sewing techniques, pattern how-tos, and resources for fabric and trims. I’ve compiled it all into a shareable folder for anyone who wants to look into sewing and making their own clothing. I’ll be adding to this folder whenever i come across new resources

I've been doing a cardigan for some while (for some real while huh) as a commission and it continues to be an absolute ride. Have some cryptid-quality detail shot (I say this every time but god I need to buy new phone..) This is my second time on both colorwork on a sweater and on making my own patterns, but I am very pleased on how it's strutting on. Feels good to be on a level where I start eventually understand instinctly how patterns fit and are created, even tho I've joked how "real knitters" would hate the way I plan them. I understand, on some rows I hated myself deeply for thinking 35 stitches long gaps on color were ok thing to do (I use intarsia where-ever it's possible, but it cannot save all of them).

(Most of the patterns made by me. I think the leaf pattern on the sleeve is from some sock I knitted years back so idk where it's from originally.)

hello mcyt tumblr!!!

i came up with a pattern for these cute crochet dream blobs and i thought i’d share it with y’all.

you can use any size white yarn you have and whatever corresponding hook for that yarn.

for the face, i needle felted the eyes, as i found that was the best way to make it look as accurate as possible, and then i used black embroidery thread for the mouth.

abbreviations:

sc - single crochet

inc - increase

dec - decrease

head:

1 | 6sc in magic circle [6]

2 | inc all around [12]

3 | sc, inc all around [18]

4 | 2sc, inc all around [24]

5 | 3sc, inc all around [30]

6-9 | sc all around [30]

10 | 3sc, dec all around [24]

11 | 2sc, dec all around [18]

12 | sc, dec all around [12] add on face (needle felt eyes and embroider mouth) fill with stuffing

13 | dec all around [6]

14 | slip stitch to close off and cut a long tail for sewing

body:

1 | 6sc in magic circle [6]

2 | sc all around [6]

3 | inc all around [12]

4 | sc all around [12]

5 | sc, inc all around [18]

6 | sc all around [18]

7 | 2sc, inc all around [24]

8-14 | sc all around [24]

15 | 3sc, inc all around [30]

18 | (in back loops only) sc all around [30]

assembly:

use the tails to sew the head to the body, but make sure to make the head a little bit off center to best reflect how the blob looks

cut the tail if necessary and tuck it back in

feel free to mold the stuffing a bit to adjust the shape and you have your very own dream!
