Nike Confirms ‘UNC’ Air Jordan 6 Won’t Release on SNKRS
The year is young, but the upcoming Air Jordan 6 “UNC” is already in contention for one of 2022’s best Jordan Brand releases. The North Carolina Tar Heels-inspired colorway arrives at a time when the brand’s University Blue shade has rarely been hotter, and the sneaker also has the allure of a usually unattainable college player exclusive.
Nike members who are loyal viewers of the SNKRS app’s live “Heating Up” streams had a chance to get the shoes early last week. The SNKRS live shock drop took place on Monday, Feb. 21 for a retail price of $210. Now we’re learning that those who struck out or missed the early drop altogether will have to procure their pairs elsewhere come Saturday.
The pair’s removal from the app after the prerelease led some to speculate a supply chain-related delay was affecting the sneakers, but today on a new episode of SNKRS live, host Lucian Dickson confirmed that the entirety of SNKRS’ stock was sold during the shock drop. This means that the “UNC” Air Jordan 6 will not be released again on SNKRS in the US, although it’s still set to launch on Saturday, March 5 from select retailers including Foot Locker.
While early surprise drops through SNKRS live have taken place before, this is noteworthy for being the first time the brand has used all of its allocated stock ahead of the official release date.

Michael Jordan's 'Broken Foot Game' Air Jordan 1s Sell For Over $400K
There’s no limit, or price in this case when it comes to owning a piece of history!
Complex reports that a pair of famous Air Jordans worn by Michael Jordan himself just sold for a hefty price tag of $422,130!
The shoes, which are believed to be the same pair worn by Jordan during a 1985 game against the Golden State Warriors, were sold through an auction house by the name of Lelands. These are said to be the same pair worn on Oct. 29, 1985, a significant date because it was the time that Jordan suffered a fractured bone in his left foot, leaving him out of the game for six months during his sophomore season.
Where'd They Come From?
Lelands managed to snag the sneakers from a consignor whose father was gifted the game-worn shoes from the man, myth, and legend himself, Michael Jordan!
The pair comes in his well-known mismatched size, which is a 13 on the left foot and a 13 ½ on the right foot. The interior linings of the sneakers include the stamp, “850102-TYPS.”
Speculations that the same pair of shoes may have been worn by Jordan during his rookie year have been made because the sneakers were produced halfway through the 1984-1985 season. However, Complex reports it has not been confirmed whether this is true or not.
Following the injury that is said to have occurred within these shoes, Jordan would ultimately go on to return to the game on March 15, 1986, against the Milwaukee Bucks, helping to lead the Chicago Bulls to the playoffs.
He also would eventually go on to train and play in a modified version of the Air Jordan 1 built with a support strap.
A Hot Commodity
Like tons of sports memorabilia, game-worn Jordan sneakers can’t stay off of the market for long and once they’re available, they’re almost always gone in an instant!
Following “The Last Dance” documentary, Jordan’s Nike Air Ships, which predates the Air Jordan line, reportedly sold for a whopping $1.47 million.

Air Jordan 1 Marina Blue: How to cop and the raffles you must enter
Another Air Jordan 1 is on the way and after the recent Patent Bred release, all eyes are on it.
It comes after exclusive access was sent out to SNKRS members earlier this morning with a full release expected on Saturday.
However, like most Nike Air Jordan 1 High releases, this one is expected to be a tough one to try and get.
Your best chance to try and cop these iconic shoes are by entering as many raffles as possible and while it's not expected to be massively hard to cop, you will still struggle.
We've listed a number of places that you can go and try and win the pair of Marina Blues by signing up for their raffles.
Remember - some raffles will ask you for payment up front so make sure you have the money in your bank.
This isn't an extensive list but these are the main raffles to sign up for in the UK.

Official Images Of The Air Jordan 1 Hi ’85 “Georgetown”
The Air Jordan 1 Hi ’85 enters its thirds year of circulation in 2022 as official images of the upcoming “Georgetown” colorway surfaces. Following the release of the “New Beginnings” and “Varsity Red” in 2020 and the “Neutral Grey” in 2021, Jordan Brand unearths a time capsule with this college navy/tech grey pairing on the Air Jordan 1, applying it to the most accurate replica of the original 1985 model we’ve ever seen.
The upper features the premium flat leather the aforementioned Georgetown colors perfectly married with the classic color-blocking style, while a nylon tongue features a slight yellow tint hinting at the spongy interior padding. The interior lining and insoles are matching with the college grey, while the midsole is clean cut with white. The Air Jordan 1 Hi ’85 “Georgetown” also comes with a folded card detailing the technical design specs of the shoe, while an OG-style shoebox is likely part of the set.
The Air Jordan 1 Hi ’85 “Georgetown” is currently scheduled to release in April 2022 for $200; see the official images ahead for more details.
Air Jordan 1 High '85 "Georgetown" Release Date: Apr 2022 Color: College Navy/Summit White/Tech Grey Mens: $200 Style Code: BQ4422-400

The Air Jordan 11 Adapt Returns In University Blue
Just over a year ago, Jordan Brand celebrated the 25th anniversary of the timeless Air Jordan 11 by introducing the Air Jordan 11 Adapt, the self-lacing version of Tinker Hatfield’s revolutionary design. Utilizing the brand’s Adaptive Fit technology, an innovation catapulted by the mythical Nike Mag from Back To The Future, the Air Jordan 11 Adapt combined the stylish sensibilities of the silhouette with next-gen technology. Today, we bring you a first look at the second colorway of the Jordan 11 Adapt in “University Blue”.
This colorway looks back on the original “Columbia” of the Air Jordan 11 that MJ wore during the 1996 All-Star Game, but with some updates. Replacing the white patent leather mudguard is a soft grey suede, with matching eyelets and pull-tabs on the tongue. The university blue grid is laid above the synthetic upper, achieving a digital world aesthetic fit for the sneaker. Finally, an icy blue outsole achieves that signature AJXI look.
Air Jordan 11 Adapt Release Date: Dec 2021 Color: N/A Mens: $500 Style Code: DO6365-001
