❝ Rebekah. ❞ he greets as he steps away from his car, the keys stowed away into his pockets. he can tell already what she called him to meet here for– the blood market. ❝ you said it was urgent. ❞
@desireshappiness· ♥’d for a thing
“I did not say the words urgent per say,” Just that she needed him to come as quickly as he could. There was a difference. “I bought you cotton candy if it earns me any forgiveness,” Rebekah shrugged, holding out the fluffy pink and blue swirl.

─ SELF KNOWLEDGE QUESTIONNAIRE
Tenderness
You are not afraid of the sufferings and sorrows of other people, even when they are acted out in unappealing ways. Beneath even defensiveness and self-righteous behaviour, you know that deep down people need nurturing and consolation. One danger is being naive about people’s dark sides. But at your best you know you can be mean yourself, which helps you to sympathise. You bring strength and forgiveness where other people might panic.
Authority
You are good at making decisions; you have a clear sense of what needs to be done and what others should be doing. Played out inside yourself, this tendency drives you to value willpower and self-control. You may be accused of bossiness. But acting on your desire to dissuade, restrain or guide is often appreciated by others – who might secretly like a clear direction, and some firmness.
Aggression
One part of your character is anger in all its forms: frustration, outrage – and when anger is suppressed – bitterness, grumpiness, and bodily aches. Fundamentally, frustration comes from hope: you get upset because you expect your life will be more than a valley of tears. One way to deny aggression is to direct it inwards, as self-criticism. But you’re at your best when you acknowledge anger, and act it out clearly and in a focussed way, with honour.
Playfulness
You are good at seeing what’s funny, at relaxing and finding the pleasure of the moment. Play is random, whimsical, fantasy-driven behaviour which releases internal tension. Because it is detached from some pressures it allows you to act on weirder, perhaps neglected, parts of yourself. The downside is that it is no help in sticking with things that are not much fun but which need to be addressed. So it is well complemented by its opposite, Stoicism.

the violently protective … sentence starters
lots of mentions of violence and death throughout
the protector
“Of course I killed them. they hurt you.”
“They made you cry…? Where are they?”
“Don’t feel sorry for them, they deserved it.”
“Don’t worry, they won’t be bothering you, again.”
“These bruises are worth it to make sure you’re safe.”
“Why would you want to protect them? They hurt you.”
“Who did this to you? No, don’t lie to me… who did this?”
“If they even step foot near you, again, I’ll take care of it…”
“No, they don’t deserve any mercy. Not after they hurt you.”
“I swear to god, I’m going to rip him/her/them apart for this.”
“Stop? Why? Don’t you want them to pay for what they did to you?”
the protected
“Make them hurt for this… please.”
“Stop! Stop, don’t hurt him/her/them!”
“There. That’s the one who did this to me.”
“Violence doesn’t solve anything, just let this be.”
“They made me bleed. Maybe you should return the favor.”
“I don’t want them dead, I just want them to leave me alone.”
“Why did you do this? Why…? I never asked you to fight them.”
“No, I don’t want you to fight them for me. It’s not that big a deal.”
“I don’t care what you do to them, just keep them away from me.”
“I’m not worth you risking your life for… for what? Getting even for me?”

@herohaircut sent: 💋 at the risk of death via Klaus or Elijah / meme
“Is this your way of saying that you like me again?” The words are spoken casually, almost teasing as if Rebekah’s heart doesn’t beat a little bit faster at the possibility. Her thumb brushes against Stefan’s wrist, unsure of whether to leave it where it was or to push him away from her. It’s only the memories of a slow jazz song in the warm Chicago summer nights that keeps her from reacting violently. She can’t pass up the opportunity to pretend that he’s her Stefan again, even if it’s only for a few minutes. It pushes her to lean forward, gently bumping their noses together as her lips brush over Stefan’s own. She smiles faintly, “If you pretend I’m her for even second I’m going to kill you.”
