omg don’t worry I feel the exact same way I also went in completely blind for 99% of my cookie designs. I was just running on no sleep and an overstimulated brain so I really didn’t want to sketch from scratch 😭

finally landed on a design for y/n cookie…I had an entire sprite sheet with a design I just didn’t like…the horrors of insomnia strike again

MY SWEET BABY SALTED BREADSTICK MY BELOVED

You observe Salted Breadstick from afar as she dusted off a bookshelf. She was doing fine at first, but she actually nudged a book with the feather duster and nearly makes it fall over.

She yelps as she hurriedly fixed it back into place, but she drops her feather duster when it hits the shelf. She turned to your direction and sees you looking as she waved her hands in front of herself in embarrassment.

△ “S-sorry, my Sovereign! I didn’t mean to make a commotion! I promise it won’t happen again!”

She takes a quick breath before picking up her feather duster and goes back to cleaning. Dumpling Cookie joins you from where you were standing.

△ “It wasn’t that long ago that we hired her and Camembert Cookie, but she seems to be new to her maid duty compared to his butler.”

△ “I won’t fault her for being new, we all start somewhere. It’s like you and others, you adjusted eventually to become the Cookies you are today. I have faith that Salted Breadstick will be the same, she’ll grow enough that even head maid Blackberry Cookie will be proud.”

△ “You think so?”

You two watch as Salted Breadstick cleaned every angle of the bookshelf without incident, she breathed a sigh of relief and accomplishment as she smiles to herself.

△ “I did it…I did it! Whew!”

△ “She’s coming along fine. Even now, I can see that she’ll do great in her position.”

△ “My Sovereign! I finished tidying up the bookshelf, a-as you requested! Oh hi, Dumpling Cookie!”

Dumpling tipped her little hat in greeting.

△ “Well done! Although your shift is not done yet, you ready?”

△ “Yes! What do you have for me?”

△ “My chambers closet could use reorganizing, head maid Blackberry Cookie will be there to guide you on how to do it.”

△ “R-really?! Your chambers?! I-I mean, that sounds pretty important…are you sure you want me to do it?”

△ “Not many cleaning Cookies besides Blackberry get the opportunity. You want to pass that up?”

△ “N-no, please! It would be an honor for my Sovereign to trust me with their belongings!”

△ “….‘kay. Salted Breadstick, it would be great if you’ll follow me to Y/N Cookie’s chambers. Thanks.”

△ “Good! Dumpling, lead her the way. I’ll stay back.”

△ “Right! L-Lead the way…”

The two Cookies head off down the hallway, you go to look at the bookshelf and sigh I relief as you get the book that Salted nearly made fell over.

△ “Thank goodness she didn’t discover you, book of horrors. Let’s see…innovation cards! Whew, that sounds like a nightmare! Any Cookie bringing those to reality would be doom for all of us…”

△ “Y/N Cookie? You used their actual name, Dumpling Cookie…”

△ “Oh…..I did. Apologies, I tend to..let my words slip here and there, even an advisor with my experience still makes mistakes…”

Salted Breadstick tilted her head in confusion at Dumpling’s sudden embarrassed tone.

△ “Is it because…you and them are good friends? To use your names…”

△ “We have arrived, Blackberry will be inside. Thank you for your patience, if you have any complaints, you can send them my way. ‘Kay? ‘Kay.”

△ “Dumpling, wait!”

Dumpling was leaving until that call to stop made her halt in her tracks, her back facing Salted.

△ “I…I promise I won’t tell anyone…”

△ “……”

△ “Trust me….”

Dumpling sighs as she turns her head to her shoulder to look at Salted.

△ “Yes. Now please report to your duty…”

Dumpling turns back and leaves as Salted Breadstick is left to ponder.

△ “Y/N Cookie…it does sound better to use then just my Sovereign…”

anyways here’s Sweet Meringue Cookie and Imperial Yolk Cookie, two sides of the Light of Harmony.

Sweet Meringue is a calm and collected Cookie, made from the fluffiest meringue and drive to protect those she loves. She will happily pick up her sword and be Meringue Knight her Kingdom needs.

Imperial Yolk Cookie was once the mighty ruler of a vast kingdom. To be the Imperial Ruler of the Yolk Kingdom means honouring those who came before you. Unfortunately, Imperial Yolk allowed the power to go to his head and now rules the Yolk Kingdom with an iron fist, suffocating their subjects with strict rule and harsh punishments.

I use they/them pronouns for y/n cookie to keep them as gender neutral as possible, just a heads up :)
