Communication Technology in Society

Communication has always been a part of human being life since humanity needs to socialize, thus the interchanging of information is indispensable. The development of technology in the transmission of information is one of the fastest-growing due to the enormous demands for more efficient tools. Nonetheless, the pace of its growth has always been criticized positively as well as negatively. In the last century, the information was transmitted by publishing pictures, videos, movies, interviews, songs, and all types of entertainment throughout TV sets and newspapers, and telephones. While in this century we have all those tools more sophisticated on the internet plus the social media. We are leading to understand that this process has been marked in the last hundred years by the great and profound transformations produced in the field of technology, which opens up infinite possibilities of communication and deepens the influence on social life in a decisive way. This is why we as the thesis formulated is: The advances in communication during the last two centuries have helped people to be more efficient and expand their knowledge and possibilities worldwide.

Technology in these months has allowed all people to continue communicating through virtuality making them able to both work and study without any problem and it also transformed our lifestyles and many of the responsibilities we used to do in presence are accomplished online. This helped many people and students to continue learning and working letting for example in work to make money for living and kids learning more information. Also, this transition from presence to virtuality has helped many companies like zoom to grow, because as we know zoom is a company whose main function is communication with other people through the internet, as this pandemic has been a great opportunity to get money and grow meeting the people needs. Despite the situation that we are all living in at this time with the pandemic of not being able to share with others physically, technology through communication has made that somehow, we can still be in communication with the world in a certain way.

Many things could not be done, a not long time ago, such as being able to communicate just by pressing a button or electronically configuring some devices. Nowadays, most of the society is available to watch the programs and news from anywhere around the world and be updated fast like never before. Besides, that our communication abroad is cheaper and better as anyone who has internet is allowed to make a call without any additional expenses. Technology benefits education so we think that is important to talk about because this is an important topic to take into account , in this case they say that the new generations are "digital natives" since they have grown up among technology and that is why it has become easier to handle it.

G (2015) Therefore, technology has improved most of the human beings' needs and especially business, education, and communication.

Communication is provided on multiple platforms to meet our needs, including Facebook, Instagram, and Microsoft Forms. As you know, most of the communication through technology is due to mobile phones and computers. It brings miracles like the Internet, but it also has a great impact on your social life. Despite all the dangers people can face when chatting online with strangers, they often seem to be away from the public. Finally, technology has impacted humans in a positively way thought the years, because it has brought a lot of benefits talking about matters of work, education, health, among others. Before 2020, we could conclude that technology was not indispensable in our lives, but this last year, we realized that during this pandemic time, technology saved us from huge consequences, for example small/medium businesses would have gone bankrupt because their sales would decrease, but thanks to technology many of them managed not only to keep their shops, even they sell to have a benefit from it. Most importantly we can communicate with all the world an continue with education programs we were informed of what happened all the time. For this reason, we could say that technology is one of the most important advances of humanity, as long as it is used for good things and for a good purpose.
