What if post fall Will stayed out in the snow longer than he should, only to get sick? Not because he enjoys Hannibal taking care of him (well, that counts too) but majorly because he knows how much Hannibal enjoys taking care of Will, when he's falling apart under fever, weak and in need of Hannibal's care the way a parent would?

He would give Hannibal anything, even if he wanted Will's sickness.
