Unlocking the Power of Jesus’ Blood & Your Heavenly Inheritance

But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7 NLT).

The blood is the only element in the body that reaches, affects, and fuels all other parts of the body.

This rich, reddish-purple elixir flows silently through the cardiovascular system like high-powered cars moving on interstate highways. It carries the cargo of much-needed oxygen molecules and nutrients that are necessary to sustain life in every cell of the body.

If the blood is restricted long enough from any member of the body, that member will internally asphyxiate and begin to change colors. Its asphyxiated cells can quickly die—even without an external assailant—for their affliction is the result of internal deprivation.

Every member, every limb and organ in the human body, needs the blood. Along with its culinary duty of delivering soluble dietary contents throughout the body, our blood has the additional responsibility of functioning as a paramedic. Its white blood cells stand ready to attack adverse intruders in the form of bacteria or foreign cells or any other foreign substance that may try to disrupt the vitality of the body. The white blood cells are the body’s “militia.” These cells are uniquely equipped to fight off attacking bacteria and expel them from the body—stripping them of their power and robbing them of their spoils.

Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other (Romans 12:4-5 NLT).

The physical body echoes and illustrates the power of the blood in the Church, the mystical body of Christ. Every member of the body of Christ—regardless of morality, maturity, or position—needs the life-giving blood of Jesus. Without the blood, we cease to have the proof of our kinship. Isn’t the blood what physicians test to determine and verify who is the father of a child? Without the blood, we are only bastard children camouflaged as real heirs. Without His blood, we are pseudo-heirs trying to receive the promises reserved for the legitimate sons and daughters of God!

Prayer

My prayer today to You, my Lord and Savior, is a song called “Nothing But the Blood” that expresses my heart and my spirit: “What can wash away my sin? What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus! Oh, precious is the flow that makes me white as snow. Nothing can for sin atone, naught of good that I have done. This is all my hope and peace, this is all my righteousness—nothing but the blood of Jesus!” And it is in His name I come to You, God. Amen.

Declaration

Because I am living in the Light of God and washed clean by the blood of Jesus, I have genuine fellowship with other believers.

Eternal Inheritance

God the Father knew you and chose you long ago, and his Spirit has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. May God give you more and more grace and peace (1 Peter 1:2 NLT).

We did not need the blood only for when we cried out to the Lord to come into our hearts by faith and rescue us from impending danger. On the contrary, we still need that same blood today. All our strength and nourishment and every promise and miracle must flow to us through the blood. Satan hates the blood—not only because it redeemed us but also because it continues to give us life from day to day!

Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins. That is why he is the one who mediates a new covenant between God and people, so that all who are called can receive the eternal inheritance God has promised them. For Christ died to set them free from the penalty of the sins they had committed under that first covenant (Hebrews 9:14-15 NLT).

We have lost our teaching of the blood in this age of Pentecostalism (of which I am adamantly a part). We have learned about the Spirit of God, but we failed to teach believers about the blood. Consequently, we have produced a generation of believers who are empowered by the Spirit but do not feel forgiven! They are empowered, yet they are insecure. They are operating in the gifts but living in guilt!

Oh, hear me today! The blood must be preached. Without it we have no life. No, the preaching of the blood will not weaken the Church! To the contrary, it will relieve us of a prepaid debt. Why are we wasting the power of God on the problems of our past? The blood has already totally destroyed the past bondages that held us down! It was through the eternal Spirit of God that Jesus was able to offer up His blood. The Spirit always refers us back to the blood. There can be no Pentecost where there is no Passover!

Prayer

Thank You for the blood of Jesus that covers my sins and provides my strength and nourishment. Thank You that every promise and miracle I’ve received flowed to me through His blood and continues to give me life. To You, Lord God, I give all praise and glory—I worship You with every drop of blood in my body. Thank You for sharing Your one and only Son with the world, and in His name I pray, amen.

Declaration

I will never forget the sacrifice Jesus made when He shed His blood for me.

Conquering Jezebel Spirit that’s Hijacking Your Prayers

Jezebel is not a woman with a strong personality who just needs some people skills.

Jezebel is not a woman who needs to read How to Win Friends and Influence People. And by the way, Jezebel can operate through a man or a woman. Jezebel is an androgynous spirit, having the characteristics of both men and women. We sometimes refer to this spirit as “she” because it manifested in women in the pages of the Bible.

An abusive church leader once insisted he saw a Jezebel spirit superimposed over my body and that I was in danger of giving myself over to Jezebel if I didn’t step in line with his wishes. I was certainly alarmed, so I submitted myself to several pastors outside that church for a thorough examination. One of the pastors asked me a startling question:

“Are you seducing people?”

“No!” I exclaimed, not understanding why he would ask such a thing.

“Are you leading people away from Jesus?”

“Of course, not!” I said.

“Then you aren’t operating in a Jezebel spirit.”

That set me free and helped me see where the true Jezebel was operating.

Along with “false prophet,” a Jezebel accusation is one of the most serious fiery darts you can throw at a believer. It implies that they aren’t a believer at all but that they are fornicators who will not inherit the Kingdom of God and false brethren who are purposefully leading people away from Christ for their own gain.

Will the Real Jezebel Please Stand Up?

Who is Jezebel and where did this terminology come from? Many say there is no such thing as a Jezebel spirit, but once you’ve seen the patterns of how this spirit operates you can’t deny its reality. Jezebel was the name of a pagan queen who married King Ahab in Scripture. She served the false gods Ashtoreth and Baal.

Ultimately, we’re not dealing with Jezebel. We’re dealing with the goddess Ashtoreth that Jezebel served. We’re dealing with the spirit that morphed the wicked queen’s personality. That’s because we become like the one we behold. Consider Paul’s Spirit-inspired words in 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV), “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” The wicked queen Jezebel was beholding Ashtoreth.

Ashtoreth is the Queen of Heaven, the female counterpart to Baal. She is known as the wife of Baal and was the high goddess of Canaan. Indeed, she is the goddess of love and war. According to the International Standard Bible Encyclopedia, prostitution was practiced in the name of Ashtoreth and prophetesses were attached to her temples to whom she delivered oracles.

Ashtoreth is the very goddess that Israel worshipped during its times of apostasy (see Judges 2:13; 1 Sam. 7:3-4; 2 Kings 23:13). Ashtoreth is the goddess of love and war. Ashtoreth is the chief god that Old Testament Jezebel served. In fact, Jezebel’s father, Ethbaal, was the high priest of the goddess Ashtoreth. Some believers are unwittingly serving Ashtoreth today.

Ashtoreth was Jezebel’s key influence. And we see the damage Queen Jezebel did in Israel. Jezebel seduced Ahab and many in Israel into idolatry, which essentially led them into bondage and God’s judgment of famine for three and a half years. Jezebel massacred the true prophets of the Lord while keeping the false prophets on her payroll, eating plenty from her table in a time of famine (see 1 Kings 18:13-19). Jezebel had Naboth killed and stole his inheritance.

Jezebel the Seductress

Note that Jezebel did all this, ultimately, through the power of seduction. Indeed, Jezebel is, at its essence, a spirit of seduction. We could just as easily say we’re battling the spirit of seduction. We call this demon Jezebel because both the Queen Jezebel and the woman Jezebel from Thyatira in the Book of Revelation carried this name and demonstrated the same demonic traits. One was thrown down and devoured by dogs. The other was threatened with a sick bed. Both were judgments on Jezebel.

Jesus identifies the root of what we call the spirit of Jezebel, a common term we can all use to identity the spirit (just like doctors use the term cancer in all nations to identify the deadly disease that destroys normal body tissue), and He gives one of the sternest warnings in Scripture. Revelation 2:18-29 (NKJV) reads:

And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write, “These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass: ‘I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first. Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.

“‘Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden. But hold fast what you have till I come. And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations—“He shall rule them with a rod of iron; they shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels”—as I also have received from My Father; and I will give him the morning star. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”

Notice the command not to tolerate Jezebel. People often tolerate it because they don’t discern it, or because there’s no one else to help with the tasks at hand—or because they are big donors. There are many reasons why people tolerate intercessors operating in a Jezebel spirit. All of them lead to destruction.

Easton’s Bible Dictionary says this of Queen Jezebel, “Jezebel has stamped her name on history as the representative of all that is designing, crafty, malicious, revengeful, and cruel. She is the first great instigator of persecution against the saints of God. Guided by no principle, restrained by no fear of either God or man, passionate in her attachment to her heathen worship, she spared no pains to maintain idolatry around her in all its splendour.” And Matthew Henry’s Commentary calls Jezebel a “zealous idolater, extremely imperious and malicious in her natural temper, addicted to witchcrafts and whoredoms, and every way vicious.”

An End-Times Assignment

I believe we are in the end times. I believe God is raising up prayer and worship movements around the world to prepare for the Second Coming of Christ. And I believe that is why we’re seeing Jezebel manifest with greater bravado now than in decades past. Indeed, the late Lester Sumrall once said Jezebel would be one of the greatest opponents in the end-times church. Perhaps that’s why there’s so much emphasis on Jezebel in the Book of Revelation.

Keep in mind, intercessors are among those who are uniquely positioned to throw Jezebel down through spiritual warfare prayer. But you can’t throw Jezebel off the wall if you don’t dwell on the wall. Intercessors who live on the wall of intercession—those who watch and pray day and night, night and day—gain a position of authority to throw Jezebel down.

You can’t dwell on the wall until you build the wall. In this season, God is looking for intercessors who will make a wall, stand on it, and actually dwell on it to prevent Jezebel from gaining further inroads of destruction in families, churches, and cities.

God is emphasizing Ezekiel 22:30 (NKJV) in this hour: “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.”

When Joshua sent two spies into Jericho, the spies entered Rahab’s house. When the king found out about it, he sent men to her house to take the Israelites captive. Instead of handing them over, she made a wall of intercession. Rahab told the king’s men the Hebrews had escaped—then helped them escape. Consider this act of intercession in Joshua 2, understanding that one definition of intercession is “interpose.” Interpose means to intervene or to put a barrier or obstacle between or in the way of, according to Dictionary.com.

Then Rahab lowered them by a rope through the window, for her home was set into the wall where she lived. She said to them, “Go to the hill country so that the pursuers do not find you. Hide there three days until the pursuers return. After that, you can go on your way” (Joshua 2:15-16 MEV).

Since her house was on the wall, she could provide a way of escape even when the gate was shut. Her intercession was their only hope of deliverance from the enemy. Rahab offered an act of intercession that saved the lives of two Israelites on a mission from God. But God rewarded her intercession by saving her entire family.

Intercessors who live on the wall have a perspective that can only be attained by living on the wall. Some intercessors only see the wall the enemy has erected. Other intercessors try to peek over the wall to see what God is doing. Intercessors who live on the wall can see further out into the spirit, gain God’s view into the situation, and tap into a divine prayer strategy to see His will come to pass.

Rahab lived on the wall. No doubt, she prayed on the wall. And when the walls of Jericho came crashing down, God’s wall of protection preserved Rahab and her family. Her act of intercession paved the way for God’s will and also paved the way for the Messiah, who was birthed through her family line (see Matt. 4:1-6). Only intercessors who build the wall and then live on the wall are positioned to throw Jezebel off the wall. These are Nehemiah intercessors who build with one hand and carry a weapon in the other hand (see Neh. 4:17).

Intercessors who build walls of prayer have a distinct authority to throw down spirits that try to penetrate that wall or erect a stronghold on that wall. Intercessors who live on the wall incline their ear to the Lord’s command to throw Jezebel down at the right moment.

The right moment is now. We’re in a Jehu moment—a Jehu season to throw Jezebel down. In 2 Kings 9:32-34 (NKJV) Jehu:

Looked up at the window, and said, “Who is on my side? Who?” So two or three eunuchs looked out at him. Then he said, “Throw her down.” So they threw her down, and some of her blood spattered on the wall and on the horses; and he trampled her underfoot. And when he had gone in, he ate and drank. Then he said, “Go now, see to this accursed woman, and bury her, for she was a king’s daughter.”

It’s time to throw Jezebel down in your family, your church, and your workplace. Again, you do this in the place of prayer. And after you throw her down, bury all memory of her. Move on with your life in victory!

10 More Prodigal Decrees that Prophesy & Release Your Loved One’s Divine Destiny

I want to share the parable of the prodigal son again, but from a different translation.

There is something in the words Jesus used when He was telling this story that is found in the original language, the original Greek text. I feel very prompted to focus on this.

This story would affect His disciples from Pentecost through the rest of their entire ministry lives. My heart leapt inside me when I saw this. God’s Word is so alive. Just one word can quicken things.

There is a wind of Holy Spirit on this amazing parable of the prodigal son as if it’s being freshly told to us. It’s prophesying, I believe, into our moment right now, a phase of our Kingdom’s movement in this era. Jesus told His disciples:

A man had two sons. The younger son told his father, “I want my share of your estate now before you die.” So his father agreed to divide his wealth between his sons.

A few days later this younger son packed all his be- longings and moved to a distant land, and there he wasted all his money in wild living. About the time his money ran out, a great famine swept over the land, and he began to starve. He persuaded a local farmer to hire him, and the man sent him into his fields to feed the pigs. The young man became so hungry that even the pods he was feeding the pigs looked good to him. But no one gave him anything.

When he finally came to his senses, he said to himself, “At home even the hired servants have food enough to spare, and here I am dying of hunger! I will go home to my father and say, ‘Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, and I am no longer worthy of being called your son. Please take me on as a hired servant.’”

So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him. His son said to him, “Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, and I am no longer worthy of being called your son.”

But his father said to the servants, “Quick! Bring the finest robe in the house and put it on him. Get a ring for his finger and sandals for his feet. And kill the calf we have been fattening. We must celebrate with a feast, for this son of mine was dead and has now returned to life. He was lost, but now he is found.” So the party began.

Meanwhile, the older son was in the fields working. When he returned home, he heard music and dancing in the house, and he asked one of the servants what was going on. “Your brother is back,’ he was told, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf. We are celebrating because of his safe return.”

The older brother was angry and wouldn’t go in. His father came out and begged him, but he replied, “All these years I’ve slaved for you and never once refused to do a single thing you told me to. And in all that time you never gave me even one young goat for a feast with my friends. Yet when this son of yours comes back after squandering your money on prostitutes, you celebrate by killing the fattened calf!”

His father said to him, “Look, dear son, you have always stayed by me, and everything I have is yours. We had to celebrate this happy day. For your brother was dead and has come back to life! He was lost, but now he is found!” (Luke 15:11-32 NLT)

In this magnificent depiction of Father God’s heart, Jesus tells us that when the father saw his lost son off in the distance, he ran to him. He didn’t walk or stroll; he ran. The father was looking for his son to return. He was anticipating it and when he saw him, he ran to him. It’s the only time Christ ever depicts Father God as running.

The great God of Heaven and earth is not depicted here as sitting on the throne of the universe ruling and reigning, though most certainly He does. He is not depicted as standing before billions of angels and giving them orders, though He does. He is not depicted as riding a chariot of fire as the most awesome conquering warrior in all of time and eternity, though He is. He is not depicted as the great I Am leading people in awesome deliverance and promised inheritance, though He is. He is portrayed as Father God, filled with unconditional love running to welcome a lost child home.

There could be no greater graphic portrayal than the one Jesus gives us here. Instead, religion and pharisaical ideas have portrayed Father God in a completely different way.

Religion says: “I messed up, my dad is going to kill me!”

Sonship says: “I messed up, I need to call my dad.”

Jesus tells us as soon as He sees prodigals returning, He runs to welcome them, kissing their cheeks and hugging their necks.

God is Running

We are moving into an amazing era and this world is going to see Father God run. He’s running with a divine purpose. He’s going to run and He’s going to bring the lost sons and daughters home. He’s going to run and He’s going to restore them. He’s running to help them; He will clean them up and put new clothes on them. It is a present campaign being launched right now by Holy Spirit.

In Luke 15:20 (KJV), Jesus uses words that we need to focus on because it speaks to another awesome aspect of this campaign I believe is now beginning. He says in essence, “When the father saw his lost child coming, he ran to him and fell on his neck, kissing him.”

“Fell on him” or “fell on his neck,” as King James puts it, is the Greek word epipipto (Strong’s 1968). It would ring in the hearts of these disciples for the rest of their lives. It would become a common phrase in the early church, throughout the book of Acts, and the apostolic travels in the New Testament. Its understanding gives such great hope. Epipipto means to embrace someone in love, to hug someone in love, or it means to hug someone you love. Epipipto was called the love embrace.

In Acts 10:44, Peter was at Cornelius’s house. Remember, Cornelius was a Gentile. He was Italian. The Jews had no dealing with Gentiles. They were prejudiced against them because they were considered unclean people. They were from the other side of the tracks. You don’t eat with them, you don’t have anything to do with them, you certainly don’t fellowship with them.

Holy Spirit gave the apostle Peter a vision where he saw a sheet come down out of Heaven with all sorts of “unclean” animals on it. Holy Spirit said, “Rise and eat.” But Peter said, “I’m not going to do that, they are unclean.” Then Holy Spirit said, “Don’t you call common or unclean what I have cleaned.” Through this vision and Holy Spirit’s admonition, Peter then understood these people were not unclean. God can make them clean, and Peter began to minister to them. He obeyed the Word of the Lord and he began to declare the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Italian people.

Decrees

I decree Holy Spirit’s presence is overwhelming me with His peace.

I decree there is a launch in the Spirit realm and things are shifting and an outpouring is manifesting.

I decree Father is running to help our sons and daughters come home. He is running to welcome them, to kiss their cheeks, and restore.

I declare a release of God’s love on this generation, reclaiming and redeeming what the enemy has tried to lock up.

I decree God hugs released in this era to the prodigals, as well as those who have just grown weary or are not where they used to be.

I decree the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases and His mercies are new every morning.

I decree that as God’s hugs are released that any bruises the enemy has tried to inflict are removed and healed—spirit, soul, and body.

I decree that the rich and pure love of God is reaching into our prodigals innermost beings and healing and restoring God’s original intention for their lives.

I decree that God never ceases to gently and tenderly call my prodigal home.

I decree that one touch from the Father’s hands changes everything.

Access God’s Blessings: Receiving the Desires of Your Heart

Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4 NKJV).

Abraham had many promises from God regarding his descendants.

God told Abraham that his seed would be as the sands of the sea and the stars of Heaven.

That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies (Genesis 22:17 KJV).

There were two promises of seed given to Abraham. God said his seed would be as the sands of the earth. That promise represents the natural, physical nation of Israel. These were the people of the Old Covenant.

However, God didn’t stop there. He also promised that Abraham’s seed would be as the stars of Heaven. These are the people of the New Covenant, the exalted people. That’s the Church. We are exalted in Christ Jesus. We, too, are seed of Abraham. We are the stars of Heaven.

God had more plans for Abraham’s descendants than to simply start a new nation on earth. He planned a new spiritual Kingdom that will last forever. The plan started as a seed, but it ended up as stars.

The only thing between the seed and the stars was the woman. Can you see why Sarah herself had to receive strength to conceive a seed when she was past childbearing age? Because the old man gave her a seed, she gave him the stars of Heaven. Whatever God gives you, He wants it to be multiplied in the womb of your spirit. When you bring it forth, it shall be greater than the former.

Prayer

Father in Heaven and in my heart, thank You for the promises You have given all who believe. Those in the Old Testament and those in the New are recipients of Your promise to give us the desires of our hearts. Lord God, the desire of my heart is to worship and praise You every day into eternity. Create in me the desire to fulfill Your will in my life. In Jesus’s name, amen.

And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God (Deuteronomy 28:2 NKJV).

Every aspect of creation that receives anything gives it back to God. The mineral kingdom gives strength to the vegetable kingdom. The vegetable kingdom is consumed by the animal kingdom. Everything reaches the point of return.

Near my home, crouched in the valley beneath the proud, swelling mountains of West Virginia, runs a river whose rushing waters cannot be contained. The Elk River cannot keep receiving the cascading streams of water from the ground in the mountains without finally pushing its blessing on into the Kanawha River. This river, though larger, is no less able to break the laws of the kingdom. It drinks in the waters from its sources and then turns its attention to its destiny and gives back its waters to the system. So the mighty Ohio River says amen.

From the Ohio to the Mississippi and on into the Gulf of Mexico, each body of water receives only to give. You see, my friend, success is not success without a successor.

We as Christians reach fulfillment when we come to the point where we bring to the Lord all that we have and worship Him on the other side of accomplishment. This need to return an answer to the Sender is as instinctive as answering a ringing phone. There is a ringing in the heart of a believer that requires an answer.

Why do we answer a phone? We do so because of our insatiable curiosity to know who is calling. God is calling us. His ring has sounded through our triumphs and conquests. A deep sound in the recesses of a heart turned toward God suggests that there is a deeper relationship on the other side of the blessing.

As wonderful as it is to be blessed with promises, there is still a faint ringing that suggests the Blesser is better than the blessing. It is a ringing that many people overlook. The noise of the bustling, blaring sound of survival can be deafening. There must be a degree of spirituality in order to hear and respond to the inner ringing of the call of God!

Dear Blesser, I have so, so many blessings to thank You for—from my family and friends to the birds and the trees, to the most generous Blessing and Gift of all: Your Son, Jesus Christ. You are the all-time best Blesser, and I am so very grateful. May your blessings multiply from one to another worldwide, Lord, and may I pass along to others Your abundant provisions.

Destroy Satan’s Strategies with THIS Spiritual Weapon

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:17).

How would you like God to give you a weapon that can rip to shreds the devil’s strategies against you?

Well, that’s exactly what He has done! Ephesians 6:17 declares that God has given you “... the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God”!

I want you to look at the word “sword” in this verse. It is the Greek word machaira — a word that exacted fear in the minds of those who heard it! You see, this wasn’t just a sword, but a weapon of murder that caused the victim horrid pain as he lay bleeding to death.

Just for your knowledge, there were various types of swords used by the Roman army during New Testament times. For instance, there was a huge double-handed sword — a sword so massive that it could only be utilized with the use of two hands. This sword could not be used in real combat because it was too huge. Instead, it was used during sword practice sessions because it helped develop stronger muscles as soldiers swung it against a post that represented an enemy.

There was also a long sword that was used for fighting in a battle, similar to the sword we are familiar with today. This sword was very effective in battle, but it more often wounded the enemy than it killed him. Because it was long, it was most often swung at an enemy from the side, thus scraping or cutting a gouge into the side or limbs of an adversary.

But the weapon referred to in Ephesians 6:17, coming from the Greek word machaira, was neither of these swords. This sword was an exceptionally brutal weapon. Although it could be up to nineteen inches in length, most often it was shorter and shaped like a dagger-type sword.

Just as a dagger is inserted into a victim at close range, this sword was used only in close combat. It was razor sharp on both sides of the blade. The tip of the sword often turned upward; sometimes it was even twisted, similar to a cork screw. Because this dagger-type sword was razor sharp, it could easily be thrust into the abdomen of an adversary. And if it had a cork-screw tip, the attacker could shred the insides of a victim by twisting the sword.

All these characteristics made the machaira a very deadly and frightful weapon. This two-edged, dagger-type sword inflicted a wound far worse than any other sword that was available to the Roman soldier at that time. Although the other swords were deadly, this one was a terror to the imagination!

By using the word machaira in Ephesians 6:17, the apostle Paul is saying that God has given the Church of Jesus Christ a weapon that is frightful to the devil and his forces. Why is this weapon so horrific to the kingdom of darkness? Because it has the razor-sharp power to slash our demonic foes to shreds!

Because the word machaira denoted a sword that was dagger-shaped, it tells us that the “sword of the Spirit” is a weapon that is normally employed in closer combat. Let’s take this one step further, so we can understand why this is so.

Notice that this verse calls it “the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” The term “word” is taken from the Greek word rhema, which describes something that is spoken clearly and vividly, in unmistakable terms and in undeniable language. In the New Testament, the word rhema carries the idea of a quickened word.

Here’s an example of a rhema or a quickened word: You are praying about a situation when suddenly a Bible verse rises from within your heart. In that moment, you know that God has supernaturally made you aware of a verse you can stand on and claim for your situation. When this happens, it’s as if the Holy Spirit has put a sword in your hand — a spiritual dagger — that you can insert into the heart of the enemy to bring about his defeat.

There are many examples of God giving someone this kind of quickened word in the Bible, but the best one is found in Luke 4, where Jesus is being tempted by the devil in the wilderness. Over and over again, the devil tempted and tested Jesus. But with each temptation, a scripture was quickened inside Jesus, and He would speak forth that scripture to the devil, brandishing it like a sword against His enemy. Each time Jesus used a verse that the Spirit had quickened to Him, the sword of the Word dealt a serious blow to the enemy — causing the devil to eventually flee in defeat.

Because of the words machaira and rhema, Ephesians 6:17 conveys this impression:

“The Spirit will place a razor-sharp sword at your disposal anytime the enemy gets too close. This sword’s power will be available the very moment the Spirit quickens a specific word for a specific situation you are facing.”

When you receive a rhema from the Lord, the Holy Spirit drops a word or scripture into your heart, causing it to come alive supernaturally and impart special power and authority to you. This quickened word is so powerful that it is like a sword has been placed in your hands! That’s why Paul calls it “the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.”

The next time you find yourself in close combat with the enemy, take the time to get quiet in your heart and listen. The Holy Spirit will reach up from within your spirit and quicken to you a scripture that has the exact power you need for the situation you find yourself in at that moment. In other words, the Holy Spirit will give you a rhema — a specific word for a specific time and a specific purpose.

When that happens, you have just received real “sword power” in the realm of the Spirit. It’s time for you to insert, twist, and do damage to the devil. Then you can watch in jubilation as he hits the road and flees!

My Prayer for Today

Lord, I know that Your Spirit has the very answer I need for any situation I may confront in life. When He speaks to my heart, it places a razor-sharp sword in my hands that I can use against my spiritual enemies. Help me keep a sensitive ear to the Holy Spirit so I can recognize those moments when He is trying to give me a “rhema” that will put the devil on the run! I pray this in Jesus’ name!

My Confession for Today

I confess that I can hear the Holy Spirit’s voice when He drops a word into my heart at the exact moment I need it. Those quickened words impart special power and authority to me. They are so powerful that it is as if a sword has been placed in my hands! When I receive that kind of word from the Lord, I insert it, twist it, and do as much damage as possible to the devil until he’s sorry he ever messed with me! I declare this by faith in Jesus’ name!

Witchcraft Prayers—Silence Demonic Assignment Sent to Destroy You

What is a witchcraft prayer?

Witchcraft prayers can be hexes, vexes, incantations, and spells. Witchcraft prayers can be curses. Witchcraft prayers can intend to bring people great harm, including harm to their minds, families, finances, businesses, ministries, health, and more. Witchcraft prayers can invite the enemy to wreak havoc on the life of an innocent soul.

Most Christians—even Jezebel’s intercessors—aren’t praying straight-up witchcraft in the sense we imagine when we first hear this dark word. No, in the Christian world witchcraft prayers often sound more benign. But make no mistake, the power of death can still be released into an atmosphere, a person’s life, a city, a nation, or a circumstance through witchcraft prayers, even if they sound innocent enough.

The challenge for many is discerning witchcraft prayers from the mouths of Christians, especially when the person isn’t intentionally trying to do any harm. Indeed, it can be difficult for the undiscerning to recognize witchcraft prayers because these petitions often come from a sincere heart. These supplications are often sincere and offered with great passion. The person praying may not even know they are praying witchcraft prayers! Remember that. We’re not wrestling against flesh and blood, but principalities and powers (see Eph. 6:12).

Jezebel’s Witchcraft Prayers

So the question is, what is a witchcraft prayer in the context of Jezebel’s intercessors? Simply put, a witchcraft prayer is when you pray your own will instead of God’s will. Witchcraft prayers are not Spirit-led but flesh-led. They are not God-inspired but soul-inspired. You could call these utterances carnal prayers, but I call them witchcraft prayers because that’s what this type of intercession is releasing.

Sometimes Jezebel’s intercessors do know what they are doing. Other times they do not. But because they are defiled, Jezebel’s intercessors are often used as puppets to pray against God’s will or lead others to pray outside His will, which never leads to anything good. At best, the time spent in intercession is wasted. At worst, witchcraft prayer gives the enemy an open door to attack.

Jezebel’s witchcraft prayers aim to control people and situations. Rather than trusting God to bring His will to pass, the Jezebelic intercessor asserts his or her will into the mix. Even if you are praying for God’s will, you can’t tell God how to do His job. Like tumors, some witchcraft prayers are benign. They are soulish prayers that fall to the ground. God does not hear them. Others are malignant and work to steal, kill, and destroy (see John 10:10). Either way, we don’t want to join with, agree to, or tolerate witchcraft prayers—ever.

A benign witchcraft prayer might sound like this: “God, cause my prodigal to come home now!” God is not going to make anyone do anything. He doesn’t violate our will, so He’s not going to answer prayers asking Him to violate someone’s will. The prodigal son in the Bible came home when he got to the end of himself. Instead, we might pray for God to encourage the prodigal with His love.

Another example is self-focused witchcraft prayers, which may sound like this, “God, speak to the pastor about putting me on the worship team.” That’s a self-centered prayer. It assumes the pastor doesn’t pray or doesn’t hear from God. It assumes that God wants you on the worship team, when He may not. Instead, we should pray, “God, if it’s Your will, would You open a door for me on the worship team?” That’s the prayer of consecration.

Another example is, “God, make my husband stop acting that way.” Instead, our prayer should be, “God, help me to walk in love with my husband while You are working in him to form Christ’s character in Him.” Now, do you get the idea? Essentially, in a witchcraft prayer you are saying, “God, give me what I want.” That may or may not be in your best interests. It may or may not be God’s will. It may flat-out oppose God’s will.

A friend of mine who is not saved was having a lot of trouble with his ex-wife. He asked me to pray for him. He said, “Pray I don’t choke her and that if I do choke her, I choke some sense into her.” Of course, I didn’t pray that because it’s a negative prayer. Nothing good can come of that, and it’s still agreeing that he might choke her. Instead, I prayed that God would give him His peace and self-control.

There are more malignant examples of witchcraft prayers that proceed from the mouth of Jezebel’s intercessors, though. Examples might be, “Lord, remove that person from his position on the worship team and put me in my rightful place.” Or, “Lord, bring my competition low and cause my business to prosper.” Or, “Lord, make that person my spouse.” These types of prayers can release clouds of confusion over people or even open a door for the enemy to work in their life.

One of the dangers of Jezebel’s intercessors is that they don’t always release witchcraft prayers in a public setting like the woman in our prayer room. You may never hear the prayer, so you can’t bind it before it has a chance to wreak havoc. Often, Jezebel’s intercessors pray flowery and eloquent prayers in public, but fleshly, carnal, witchcraft prayers when no one is listening. Only later do you see the effects of Jezebel’s intercession.

Jezebel’s witchcraft prayers often fall into the Galatians 5 category of works of the flesh. In Galatians 5:19-21 (NKJV), Paul the apostle writes:

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like.

Many believers feel good about themselves when they read Paul’s list because they aren’t participating in these activities. They spend more time in the prayer closet than they do in front of the TV. But that doesn’t mean we’re not praying witchcraft prayers. We need to look at these tendencies in us before we go on a witch hunt. We need, too, to understand what prayer really is and the laws of prayer so we don’t violate them.

Galatians 5:20 speaks of the work of the flesh as witchcraft. Different translations use different words, such as sorcery. If you look at the Greek word for witchcraft in this verse, it is used as a metaphor for idolatry. And obviously anything we do out of the flesh is rebellion. Another way to put it is, rebellion is rooted in the flesh.

Jezebel’s Rebellious Prayers

Because Jezebel hates God, this demon will lead intercessors to pray rebellious prayers. Consider the words of Paul the apostle in Romans 8:7 (AMPC), “[That is] because the mind of the flesh [with its carnal thoughts and purposes] is hostile to God, for it does not submit itself to God’s Law; indeed it cannot.” When Jezebel works to renew the mind of the intercessor, the intercessor doesn’t know that their prayers have become hostile to God. They are deceived and sincerely don’t see it.

Paul also offered this wisdom in Galatians 5:17 (AMPC):

For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the [Holy] Spirit, and the [desires of the] Spirit are opposed to the flesh (godless human nature); for these are antagonistic to each other [continually withstanding and in conflict with each other], so that you are not free but are prevented from doing what you desire to do.

Because Jezebel’s intercessors are often influenced by a spirit other than the Spirit of God, these prayers are antagonistic and in conflict with what the Spirit of God desires.

God is clear—rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. He says so in 1 Samuel 15:23 (NKJV), “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king.” The New International Version puts it this way, “For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry.” The English Standard Version says, “For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and presumption is as iniquity and idolatry.”

The New American Standard Bible offers, “For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and insubordination is as iniquity and idolatry.” The Christian Standard Bible says, “For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and defiance is like wickedness and idolatry.” And The Message brings it home: “Not doing what God tells you is far worse than fooling around in the occult. Getting self-important around God is far worse than making deals with your dead ancestors.”

We all have flesh, and any of us can come under the influence of a Jezebel spirit in our prayers. We need to avoid rebellious, idolatrous prayers. Paul said in Romans 7:18 (AMPC), “For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh.” We need to crucify our flesh so that we don’t pray from our carnal nature. We need to submit ourselves to God before we submit our prayers to God. We need to die to self and present ourselves as living sacrifices unto God (see Rom. 12:1). When we do, Jezebel won’t have any room to infiltrate our prayers.

The Danger of Witchcraft Prayers

Demons counterfeit the operations of angels. So when we pray witchcraft prayers, the demons come to execute those words. Witchcraft prayers unleash demon powers that tempt and seduce people to think and do what we want them to think and do. The targets of witchcraft prayers may come under something like a spell and begin to act in ways that oppose their true desires—and God’s desires for them.

Jesus said in Matthew 12:37 (NKJV), “For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” The word condemn in that verse means to make a judgment against. In the realm of witchcraft prayers, your words are either seeking justice or inviting the enemy’s condemnation in someone’s life. Also consider Christ’s words in Luke 6:45 (NKJV):

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

We know that whatever is not of faith is sin (see Rom. 14:23). Witchcraft prayers are sin. You aren’t praying from a heart posture of faith. You are praying with a heart posture of control. My great-grandmother was at her wits’ end with one of her sons. After he came back from World War II, he acquired a terrible drinking habit. It was probably because of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Back then, of course, people didn’t know anything about PTSD.

My grandmother didn’t want him to die a drunkard. She was a godly woman and feared he would get in a brawl or harm himself. So she prayed, “Lord, do whatever it takes to keep him from bringing that bottle to his mouth again.” Well, she meant well, but the devil is legalistic. The next day, her son shot his arm off and walked around with one arm for the rest of his life. But that didn’t stop him from drinking.

Sister Dundee

Sister Dundee, who was twenty-two, had a gift for praying for children. A mother brought in her crippled daughter on braces and crutches. Though she had previously been prayed for, nothing happened. Sister Dundee explained to her that if she was healed, it would bring great glory to Jesus. The little girl said, “Okay. Pray for me.” Sister Dundee removed the braces and crutches and said, “We’ve got to glorify Jesus.” The girl’s eyes began to well up. Sister Dundee prayed, and the girl felt something happening in her feet. Sister Dundee told her to stand and start moving. She said, “I can’t!” Sister Dundee said, “You need to try.” She started moving her feet up and down, then started dancing and stomping. Now realizing she was healed, she continued to dance and stomp around the building while shouting.

Sister Dundee also prayed for a baby with a bowed neck who was brought in by her mother wrapped in a blanket. When Sister Dundee prayed and saw the bowed neck straighten out, she cried. The mother asked, “Is there something wrong with my baby?” Sister Dundee pulled the blanket back to show her healed baby smiling. The mother ran rejoicing. Later, the baby’s father came and was saved. He went on to pastor a large church in Los Angeles for thirty-five years.

Sister Goldie

Sister Goldie, who was eighteen at the time, often prayed for people with growths or disfigurements on their faces. She learned to carry towels to catch the tumors as they fell. She estimated she had been instrumental in healing some 3,000 growths and tumors in the two years she attended the revival. Sister Goldie especially remembered a young man who had broken his arm in a ballgame at school but never went to a doctor to have it reset. His arm was crooked, but when Sister Goldie prayed, it immediately straightened.

Brother Garcia

Brother David Garcia, who was also eighteen at the time, remembered praying for two women and one man who had come in wheelchairs from a nearby nursing home. They all had crippling arthritis, and one could not talk or feed herself. Brother Garcia first laid hands on the lady who could not talk and immediately her head stopped shaking. Her first words were to Brother Garcia: “Are you Jesus?” she asked. He said, “No, but Jesus healed you!” Then she asked, “Can I get up?” Garcia said, “Yes!” She stood up, started walking, then danced a beautiful waltz for about an hour.

Then the other woman said, “I’m ready.” Brother Garcia prayed for her, and she too stood up and started walking. Brother Garcia reached out to steady her, but she said, “No, leave me alone; pray for him.” Then he prayed for the man, and he took off running. All three were healed! Brother Garcia also remembered praying for a blind Spanish girl whose eyes were gray. He prayed, and when she opened her eyelids, she had beautiful brown eyes. The girl started dancing, celebrating, and shouting the name of Jesus as her parents tried to keep up with her.

Brother Fox

Brother Fox, who was also eighteen at the time, remembered a sign language teacher who brought his entire class of thirty-five deaf students. Brother Fox said to the teacher, “If you want to teach them to sign, why did you bring them to a place where they could get healed? You’re going to be out of a job!” The teacher replied, “You’re talking like they’re all going to get healed.” “They are!” said Brother Fox. Brother Fox then gestured to the students to join hands in a circle. Looking at the teacher, he said, “Evidently, you don’t have much faith, so stand off to the side.” Then, forgetting they were deaf, he instructed the students: “Now, I’m going to lay hands on this man and start with him.” The teacher laughed.

Undeterred, Brother Fox whispered in the first man’s ear and told the spirit to come out. He was immediately healed. Then, seeing the excitement of the man who was healed, one by one, the others were all healed within a few minutes. Yet Fox had only laid hands on one. After that, whenever a group joined hands in a circle touching each other, Brother Fox said they were all healed.

He also loved praying for the deaf and mute. He said you could sometimes hear a “whishing” sound when their ears were healed. A man whose throat had been eaten with cancer could not talk. After Brother Fox prayed, nothing happened. He prayed again and the lump disappeared, and he could immediately talk. Brother Fox later became a missionary to India.

Brother Sines and Brother Christopher

Brother Sines, who was twenty-six at the time, was on the platform leading the singing when he noticed a young, crippled boy on crutches sitting off to the side. He asked why no one was ministering to him. The boy shrugged his shoulders and said, “I’m just waiting for someone to come over and pray for me.” Sines asked, “Do you believe God will heal you? “Why, yes!” he said. Sines took his crutches and immediately started praying and laying hands on the boy. At first, nothing happened. Then the boy yelled, “I feel it! I feel it!” and leaped to his feet running, dancing, and shouting.

Releasing Healing Promises Through This Prayer Strategy

He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5 NKJV).

Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed (1 Peter 2:24 NKJV).

Gratitude and defensive praise are contagious.

Although the Bible doesn’t specifically say so, I imagine that those who saw what was going on the day Jesus healed the infirm woman were caught up in praise as well.

And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid His hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. …And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him (Luke 13:12-13, 17 KJV).

The Church also must find room to join in praise when the broken are healed. Those who missed the great blessing that day were those who decided to argue about religion. The Bible describes Heaven as a place where the angels rejoice over one sinner who comes into the faith.

Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents (Luke 15:10 NKJV).

They rejoice because Jesus heals those who are broken. Likewise, God’s people are to rejoice because the broken-hearted and emotionally wounded come to Him.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed (Luke 4:18 NKJV).

Christ unleashed power in the infirm woman that day. He healed her body and gave her the strength of character to keep a proper attitude. All who are broken and wounded today will find power unleashed within when they respond to the call and bring their wounds to the Great Physician.

I offer You, the Great Physician, my humblest and most sincere gratitude for the healings You have blessed me with over the years. From a scratch that heals itself to the mental anguish that inevitably comes from life’s bumps and bruises, You have never neglected bringing me comfort and recovery. You are great and greatly to be praised. In Jesus’s name, amen.

Declaration

I believe in the Miracle Worker who healed yesterday and heals today and every tomorrow.

Good and Perfect Gifts

Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow (James 1:17 NLT).

Jesus healed ten lepers, and only one returned to Him (see Luke 17:11-19). When he came to Jesus, he fell down at His feet and worshipped Him. Then Jesus asked a question. It’s seldom that Jesus, the omniscient One, would ask anything, but this time He had a question. I shall never forget the pointedness of His question. He asked the one who returned, “Where are the nine?”

Perhaps you are the one in ten who has the discernment to know that this blessing is nothing without the One who caused it all to happen. Most people are so concerned about their immediate needs that they fail to take the powerful experience that comes from a continued relationship with God! This is for the person who goes back to the Sender of gifts with the power of praise.

Ten men were healed, but to the one who returned, Jesus added the privilege of being whole. Many will climb the corporate ladder. Some will claim the accolades of this world. But soon all will realize that success, even with all its glamour, cannot heal a parched soul that needs the refreshment of a change of pace. Nothing can bring wholeness like the presence of a God who lingers on the road where He first blessed you to see if there is anything in you that would return you from the temporal to embrace the eternal.

Remember, healing can be found anywhere, but whole- ness is achieved only when you go back to the Sender with all of your heart and thank Him for the miracle of a second chance. Whatever you do, don’t forget your roots. When you can’t go anywhere else, my friend, remember you can go home!

Prayer

Jesus, my Savior, I pray that I will be the one who will always return to thank You for all that You do for me—for my good health, family, friends, employment, the air I breathe and the water that nourishes me—but especially for the sacrifice You made on the Cross for my salvation. Thank You!

Declaration

I declare and believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He reigns forevermore in Heaven.

Dark Intercessors: Witchcraft Prayers that Jezebel Uses to Steal, Kill & Destroy

Dark intercessors, or false intercessors, carry certain qualities, whether we discern them or not.

Let’s look at the deep and lengthy definition of false in Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary to get some clues as to the qualities of dark intercessors. False means “not genuine, intentionally untrue, adjusted or made so as to deceive, intended or tending to mislead, not true, not faithful or loyal, lacking naturalness or sincerity, inaccurate in pitch, threateningly sudden or deceptive, treacherous.”

This is dangerous for the church and dangerous to the intercessor. In Isaiah 29:15-16 (NLT), the Lord says:

What sorrow awaits those who try to hide their plans from the Lord, who do their evil deeds in the dark! “The Lord can’t see us,” they say. “He doesn’t know what’s going on!” How foolish can you be? He is the Potter, and he is certainly greater than you, the clay! Should the created thing say of the one who made it, “He didn’t make me”? Does a jar ever say, “The potter who made me is stupid”?

Some dark intercessors know exactly what they are doing. They purposely stand in the way of God’s will. They don’t genuinely care about the cause. Their motive is dark. They set out to deceive.

Speaking of the end times that we’re in right now, Paul wrote, “But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived’” (2 Tim. 3:13 NKJV). They are treacherous, which means likely to betray your trust. Their intercession is marked by hidden dangers, hazards, and perils. But make no mistake, they shall be ashamed who deal treacherously without a cause (Ps. 25:3). That’s why we need to pray for their deliverance.

Seeing the Darkness in Us

It’s hard to see in the dark, and it’s hard to see darkness in us. Have you ever been in a hotel room only to wake up in the middle of the night and bump into a wall trying to find the bathroom? Dark is dark and, again, it’s not just hard to see in the dark. It’s hard to see the dark in us. We need to be careful not to try to remove the speck that is in our brother’s eye when we have a beam poking out of our own eye (see Matt. 7:3). Jesus offered these wise words:

Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is filled with light. But when it is unhealthy, your body is filled with darkness. Make sure that the light you think you have is not actually darkness. If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light (Luke 11:34-36 NLT).

Darkness is deceptive. If we could see it, we would cry out for deliverance. So what do we do? We need to examine ourselves and test ourselves (see 2 Cor. 13:5). Paul was pulling wisdom from Lamentations 3:40 (NKJV) in his words to the church at Corinth that still speak to us today: “Let us search out and examine our ways, and turn back to the Lord.”

Apart from Christ we can do nothing (see John 15:5). We can’t even examine ourselves without first inviting His light in to probe our souls. The nature of deception is that we don’t know what we don’t know, and we can’t see what we can’t see. David put it this way: “Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults” (Ps. 19:12 NKJV). That’s why he cried out, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting” (Ps. 139:23-24 NKJV).

We can’t repent for and renounce something we don’t see. As I always say, an enemy exposed is an enemy defeated. Allow the Lord to test your heart. You don’t want any common ground with darkness. You don’t want any false spirit informing your intercession. Pray like David, “Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my mind and my heart” (Ps. 26:2 NKJV). If He shows you something, repent and rejoice as you break free.

By the same token, sometimes it’s hard to see the dark in others. That’s because sometimes darkness hides, which is why it needs to be exposed. That demands discernment. If we have common ground with darkness, one of two things may happen: We will point fingers at others when we should be pointing a finger at ourselves. Or we will not see the darkness in others because we are blind to it.

“God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5 NKJV). All things become visible when the light exposes them (see Eph. 5:13).

Our goal is to see people turn away from darkness to light and from the power of Jezebel to God (see Acts 26:18). God delivered us from the domain of darkness when we accepted Christ, and we are told to have no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather to expose them (see Eph. 5:11). We need to get the darkness out of our hearts so we don’t fall prey to Jezebel. Just as God separated light from darkness in Creation, He’s still working to separate light from darkness in people with the truth that sets us free. Ask Him to separate darkness from you and to separate dark intercessors from your midst if they do not want to pursue freedom.

Prayer

Father, in the name of Jesus, help me to follow You. You tell us in Your Word that whoever follows Jesus will not walk in darkness. So help me follow Jesus in all my ways for all my days. Help me to see any areas of my life where I am not following You wholeheartedly, completely, with all sincerity and with full abandon.

Father, I don’t want to be a hypocrite. I don’t want to be one of Jezebel’s puppets in prayer. I don’t want to present a form of godliness while denying Your true power. Help me turn away from anything that hinders love. Show me any secret sins in my soul that I cannot see so I can quickly repent and turn my heart completely back to You.

Forgive me for all the times I did not obey Your Word or Your Spirit when I knew the right thing to do. Forgive me for all the times I did not pray when You led me to. Forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness for Your glory. Cleanse me from the darkness. Make my eye single. Dispel the darkness. I want Your light and life to show through me. Free me from every evil thing and let Your face shine upon me and give me peace.

This Throne Room Encounter Reveals Your End-Times Assignment

Jesus waved His arm in the direction of a vast black hole in the place of the deep that was void of anything.

“These are the lost hopes and dreams of purposes unfulfilled,” Jesus said.

I intuitively knew that once lost, these moments of opportunities for all people who reject the Holy Spirit’s promptings—God’s direction—during their lifetime in the world, would remain in that black hole.

Yes, the Holy Spirit whispered, what you know is true.

But the dirge, Lord, is that for the lost souls who have rejected You like I did for so long, or are they for the lost hopes and dreams?

Both, answered the Holy Spirit, but the mourning sound is because I have grown weary from ages of crying for the lost. The mourning has faded into a soft lamentation for those who have no life in Me.

“The ones in hell?” I asked.

No answer followed, but I knew the answer just the same. Hope remained for those who lived in the world. No hope existed for those sealed in death apart from Christ.

“I desire that none shall perish,” Jesus said, “But I AM the only way here, none other.”

With that, He turned His head downward. In His eye I saw a tear swell, before falling onto the golden path. I felt strangely compelled to stoop to the ground and cup the soil containing Jesus’s tear. I did so and rubbed it between my palms, before touching it to my cheeks. I instantly felt the sorrow of my Lord to the depths of my soul. And I began to mourn in the same way I had heard the mourning cry of our Lord for the lost. It felt terrible beyond words.

“Feed My sheep,” Jesus said to me.

Did not Jesus say that to Peter in John 21:17? Now He was telling me this, even though I was in Heaven and I had no influence in the world at that time—or so I thought until the Holy Spirit corrected me. Suddenly I felt I should pray. I thought of Renee, Annie, and Ryan, and how confident I felt in my Lord’s ability to provide for them during the time I could not see them grow. Those thoughts did not sadden me, because I knew that God would give them all they needed. I was aware that my time in the world was the brief vapor that it seemed, and it gave them all God had required of me.

In life, I had prayed daily for my family and tried to model being a good father and husband. We had watched endless Christian videos together. I prayed for my children to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We attended church and I taught them from the Bible. I prayed the so-called “Sinner’s Prayer” with both of my parents, so I knew they were destined for Heaven. I loved Renee and tried to provide the security she needed, and we had prayed such rich prayers together. I could do the same in Heaven. I knew in the span of the fullness of eternity in Heaven that I would see all of them in a few moments of time, from my eternal perspective.

God would assuredly heal Annie, and my children would have families of their own. I fell short too many times; but in Heaven, none of those shortcomings mattered. God filled in the blanks—He would do the same in the future. He always did. I could still pray for them and others in Heaven, and I knew that. God could catch me up on their lives, as well as their victories. I was confident of that, and I asked Jesus to send them messages every now and then as “postcards from Heaven,” as I later called them.

Fear was nonexistent in Heaven, because I finally and fully trusted Jesus. If only I had known these things in the world, how prosperous I could have been—but my fleshly brain would constantly remind me of my failures and my unworthiness.

“When you stop judging yourself, you will stop judging others,” Jesus said.

After those words, I could hear birds singing as I remembered them on a typical spring morning. I felt the wind blanket me with warmth and appreciated the revelation that I had judged myself on earth. I thought about how that truth would have served me well in world. Indeed, I had judged myself as a failure so often that self-condemnation fed off a need to judge others, as a demented form of psychological deflection.

But as a spirit now not judging myself, why would Jesus tell me this now?

“I’m here though, Jesus, so I’m not judging anyone, least of all me.”

“Not for long,” Jesus said, as He hugged me tightly and kissed me on the cheek.

“Not for long?”

“I am going to return you, beloved.”

“Oh Lord…” I hugged Him so tightly, never wanting to release.

I thought that if I held onto Jesus, He could not let me go. “I will never leave you,” He whispered into my ear.

I knew that, but in the world it would be so hard to remember. “I know how hard it is in the world, beloved,” He said. “I lived there, but now you know, and what I am revealing to you will never leave you.”

Suddenly a butterfly rested upon my shoulder. It was bright blue, red, and yellow—colors that reflected with an iridescent glow. It shed sparkly gold dust from the underside of wings that were dotted with purple eyespots and that gently flapped. I immediately felt calm and confident. I also knew that everything and everyone in Heaven performed intentionally, so I understood that God intended something from the butterfly’s appearance.

“This butterfly represents My wisdom that will guide you in the world,” Jesus said.

As soon as Jesus explained the meaning of the butterfly, I instantly knew that I needed to remain still so the butterfly would not fly away.

And so it is with wisdom, said the Holy Spirit, be still and…

“Know that I am God,” said Jesus as He finished the Holy Spirit’s sentence. I remembered the Bible verse: “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth” (Psalm 46:10 NIV).

Knowing that Jesus would return me to the world, I wanted to know the God-decreed plans for my return—a blueprint of sorts. As always, Jesus knew my thoughts and responded accordingly:

“Moment by moment I will direct your steps,” said Jesus. “If I were to reveal your purpose in full, you would not remain dependent on Me.”

Thus, I had learned the lesson of the butterfly—to get still, listen to the voice of wisdom (the Holy Spirit) telling me what to do, and to look for the opportunities to serve my Lord in the moments of life rather than worry about the grandiose scheme of achievement. Just after my revelation, the butterfly gently flapped its wings and flew into the blue sky, leaving its beauty imprinted within my soul.

But what about the latter part of Psalm 46:10? God is indeed exalted among the nations, but few people acknowledge Him as such.

“The nations, Lord—You were exalted in the world, but so many thought that You were not God,” I said.

“I AM,” He responded.

Later, I would correlate what Jesus had said with this verse: “Jesus answered them: ‘I solely declare it: before Abraham came to be, I AM’” (see John 8:58). Indeed, that was the name God gave Himself when He first communicated with Moses (Exodus 3:14). Many people think of the Father as God and Jesus as the Son of God as an off-shoot of the Father. And many are confused about the Holy Spirit; but in Heaven, the Holy Spirit was and is as real and relatable as Jesus. As for the Father, I had not yet met the Father, or so I thought.

“I will take you there.” As usual, Jesus answered my thought. “But He has always been with Me and I with Him.”

And I with both, said the Holy Spirit.

In the world, this often presents a point of confusion, but with my spirit mind, I fully realized what Paul referred to as the mind of Christ, or the Christ mindset. I understood that the three Persons of God were not persons at all. Rather, they were facets of one another, with each being one side of a three-sided personhood. If that still seems confusing, then just remember that there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4).

Although we are made in His image, we are not of the same makeup as God. Like God, we are comprised of three parts: a spirit person (controlled by God), a physical person, and a soulful person who represents the sentient or feeling part of ourselves.

“In the world, you saw things in part,” said Jesus. “Now you see them in full. Now I will show you the Father.”

With that, Jesus and I flew high above the ground, with Jesus’s hand placed in the small of my back. I beheld what must have been billions of people, and a vastness greater than the sum of all galaxies. A “whoosh” sounded as we flew through orbs made of light. Angels flew through the second orb to what I presumed was the world below. A third orb beamed with the intensity of many suns, but it did not blind me because I could feel Jesus’s presence shielding my eyes. He did this not with His hands but with His omnipotent Glory. Then I realized that the near-blinding light of God was indeed His utmost Glory. Bedazzled by it all, I didn’t realize that we had settled upon a pavement of darkly glowing blue stones. Everything was blurred up to this point, except for where I now stood with Jesus.

I’m taking over from here, said the Holy Spirit.

I could still sense Jesus’s presence, but not His figure.

Look up, said the Holy Spirit.

I witnessed a crystalline waterfall through which I could faintly see an altar and a towering, curved structure that was made of ruby red and opaque brownish stones. A crystal blue table stood at the center of an elevated stage of grey stone with flecks of mica interlaced with intense blue layers. A rainbow served as a halo behind this altar and extended to what existed below.

Living waters poured like a waterfall from the light that engulfed Jesus, but those waters did not soak anything they touched. They had another effect that I could not understand, but I sensed them as the source of life. Jesus reached His arms outward to form a cross with His body while He stood behind the stone altar. It was then that I noticed that waters flowed from His hands, which ushered forth the waterfall that I saw.

Those waters “gelled together” as an incline that curved back and spread out to form a glass-like seat that surrounded what appeared to be a mountain-sized melding of clear emerald gems, against an airy blue background. Walls of multicolored stones with the heartbeat of life reached thousands of feet into the air—as far as I could see.

To me, it seemed as if a portal or an open window existed at the base of the massive formation. Sitting atop this structure was a giant figure the size of a four-story building. His white hair flowed through the wind that was breathed from the Holy Spirit. I felt I was part of that wind since the Holy Spirit blew that wind through me and everyone within this sacred place. The brilliance shining upon this figure prevented me from seeing His features, if He had features. His white, flowing hair could have been the tendrils of the blinding white light that was brighter than the sun, but they appeared as strands of flowing clouds. His eyes blazed with flames that erupted like a volcano.

The figure blended in appearance with Jesus, though Jesus’s eyes were constantly fixed on me. The larger and semi-distinct figure evoked an awe in me that bordered on fear as He declared words or sounds in a foreign tongue, with the utmost authority. In the strangest way, I considered Him to be THE WORD, the authoritative Word of all things. Until then, I had never in my life considered that the Word was a Person.

Within that instant, all of Heaven became beyond silent to an intense nothingness. A quiet that was thunderous. An absolute stillness of motion and sound settled after the Almighty’s declaration—the calm before the Storm. And all of Heaven waited.

My feelings changed from comfort to pure and absolute awe. Somehow, I understood that nothing would ever be the same again.

Mark of the Beast & AI: Is AI Part of the Devil’s End-Time Strategy?

As we grapple with the implications of artificial intelligence, we find ourselves looking to the past for guidance, seeking answers in the wisdom of the ages.

The Bible, with its unique tapestry of infallible truth and prophecy, offers intriguing parallels to the rise of AI that can’t be ignored. Revelation 13:15-16 (NIV) speaks of a “beast” that wields enormous power and influence:

The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads.

Could this prophecy point toward an advanced form of AI, capable of tracking, analyzing, and manipulating human behavior on an unprecedented scale? Might the “mark of the beast” be a metaphor for the invasive reach of such a superintelligent entity, extending into every facet of our lives?

This interpretation is not beyond the realm of possibility, especially when we consider the advent of technologies such as neural interfaces, biometrics, and predictive algorithms. A future AI, equipped with these capabilities, could easily fulfill the role of the beast, exerting immense control over society. Another fascinating parallel can be found in the prediction of the false prophet:

And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed (Revelation 13:14-15 KJV).

Perhaps this image of the beast that speaks and holds power refers to a sophisticated AI system, one that can convincingly emulate human communication and exert significant influence. In an era of deep fakes and persuasive algorithms, the idea of a deceptive AI propagating false truths is not far-fetched. We’ll address this more in our chapter on “Project Blue Beam.”

These potential parallels between biblical prophecies and AI are certainly thought-provoking and unsettling. However, it’s important to remember that these interpretations are just that: interpretations. They are conjectures that should inspire caution and introspection, not fear. We are, after all, more than conquerors (see Romans 8:37).

AI & The Antichrist: The Grand Deceiver

In Christian eschatology, the figure of the antichrist has long been a subject of fascination and dread—embodying the ultimate deception and apostasy. This figure is anticipated to possess great power and charisma, leading many astray with false doctrines and miracles. As we delve deeper into the realm of AI, it’s worth considering whether a sufficiently advanced artificial intelligence could potentially aid this character in his prophetic role.

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition (2 Thessalonians 2:3 KJV).

On a superficial level, an advanced AI could mimic human conversation and behavior so convincingly that it might deceive those interacting with it into believing that they are dealing with a human. However, the role of the antichrist as described in biblical texts goes much further. This entity is prophesied to have a profound and destructive influence on human beliefs, leading many away from truth.

One way an AI might accomplish this is through the mass manipulation of information. With the advent of deepfake technology, AI algorithms can create highly convincing false images, videos, and even speech. An AI with malevolent intent and these capabilities could spread disinformation on an unprecedented scale, leading people to question the very nature of truth and reality.

Additionally, the rise of personal assistant AIs and algorithmically driven content feeds already shows how AI can subtly influence our choices and perceptions. These algorithms are designed to show us content that we’re likely to agree with or enjoy, often creating an echo chamber that reinforces our existing beliefs and filters out dissenting viewpoints. This kind of subtle, pervasive influence could be exploited by a hostile AI to manipulate public opinion, sowing discord and confusion. However, it’s essential to remember that the concept of the antichrist is fundamentally tied to spiritual and religious deception, leading people away from God and toward false worship. Matthew 24:24 (KJV) says this:

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Whether an artificial entity like an AI, which lacks a soul or spiritual nature, could fulfill such a role is a profound theological question. Ultimately, the prospect of an AI/antichrist hybrid serves as a potent reminder of the potential dangers inherent in AI technology. It underscores the need for robust ethical frameworks and safeguards as we continue to develop these systems. The AIs we’re building today may not be the prophesied antichrist, but they hold the potential to change our world in ways we can barely imagine. Let’s ensure those changes are for the better.

AI As A Tool of Control: The Mark of the Digital Beast

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark (Revelation 13:16-17 KJV).

The prophecies in Revelation have long been a source of speculation and wonder, with scholars interpreting its cryptic passages in a myriad of ways. One prophecy that continues to resonate with chilling relevance is the so-called “mark of the beast.” As our technology continues to evolve, we must consider the potential ways AI could be used to exert control over populations.

Consider, for example, the rise of surveillance technologies. In the digital age, AI-powered systems can track individuals through facial recognition, analyze their online activities, and predict their behavior with unsettling precision. These capabilities, in the wrong hands, could facilitate a level of surveillance and control that surpasses even the most notorious surveillance states of the 20th century.

The Soviet Union’s KGB and East Germany’s Stasi were notorious for their extensive networks of informants and intrusive surveillance—leading to societies steeped in fear and paranoia. Imagine, the magnitude of control that could be achieved with AI. An AI system could theoretically keep tabs on every citizen, tracking their movements, analyzing their communications, and even predicting their actions with far greater efficiency than any human-run organization.

Furthermore, with the advent of AI and advanced biotechnology, the mark of the beast prophecy takes on a new significance. Invasive technologies, such as microchip implants and biometric identification systems, could become the de facto “mark”—providing access to services, goods, and information, much like the prophecy suggests in Revelation 13.

The Chinese Social Credit System provides a contemporary example of how technology can be used to control behavior on a mass scale. This system leverages AI to track citizen behavior, doling out rewards and punishments based on adherence to desired social norms. If you post something they don’t like on social media, you might not get that loan for your home, or you could lose your job. Could this be a glimpse of a world where AI is the gatekeeper—determining who can buy, sell, work, or travel?

The potential for AI to be used as a tool of control is a sobering thought. It highlights the urgency of establishing strong ethical guidelines and regulatory measures for AI development and implementation. As we continue to innovate and push the boundaries of AI, we must always keep these cautions and prophecies in mind.

Yet, it’s crucial to remember that AI, like any tool, is neutral. Its impact on society, whether beneficial or detrimental, is determined by how we choose to use it. By approaching AI with caution, wisdom, and a commitment to upholding human dignity and freedom, we can steer its development in a direction that benefits all of humanity and aids us in preaching the Gospel.
