"Princesses don't do anything they don't want to do." the apprentice stated in a jokingly snobby tone. "Though, I admit, it'd be interesting to see how Master Eraqus teaches. I mean, if he trained you, he must be incredible!" Aqua was the strongest, most capable fighter Kairi had ever met and, the redhead had found out, she had trained for years under Gramps. She'd never seen the older Keyblade master in action, but she could only imagine how powerful he was.

Not that she was dying to be on the receiving end of his Keyblade anytime soon. She was perfectly happy being Aqua's responsibility.

"Lea.... I'm sure Gramps could handle Lea. Maybe."Kairi was still getting used to the idea that Lea was not Axel, although he had Axel's memories and definitely had the same attitude. But she had never bothered to pretend that anything about this 'Nobody' business made sense. She just went with it.

"Well, of course not! The boys wouldn't know what they were doing anyway." If there was one thing Kairi prided herself on, it was her sense of style. It wasn't perfect by any means but she had adopted her own individual look and she was super excited for Aqua to learn how to do the same!

And so, the teacher becomes the student.

"Hmm... Show me all the clothes you have in your closet right now. We'll go from there."

Aqua almost snorted when Kairi called Eraqus “Gramps”— she supposed her Master was old… older but the notion was not something the younger Master ever dreamed of expressing, much less out loud. She’d have to tell Terra and Ven about this later, they’d probably laugh too. (Ven, however, would probably end up accidentally repeating it so maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to tell him.)

"He would have made you run laps then. Heh, can you imagine him teaching Lea?" The thought brought a smile to her face— it wasn’t that Lea was the worst fighter ever, his fire magic was impeccable— he just had a harder time summoning his keyblade than Kairi did.

Of all the things Aqua had anticipated Kairi suggesting, a makeover was not one of them, although she was not completely opposed to the idea, since she was willing to try anything to feel better at this point. Plus, while she wore some of the modern clothing sometimes she did usually stick to her fighting garb… It was getting a bit too cold for it to be comfortable all the time now, though. Right now she hadn’t even bothered getting out of her starry blue pajamas.

"Really? Well, that sounds like fun, I’ve never gotten to receive or give one. Castle full of boys, you know. So, what are we going to do first?"

"Mom!" The small girl padded over to her mother, grabbing her hand. She looked up to her with big blue eyes, fingers twirled around her long brownish-red hair. "Umm... Do you think I'll get a keyblade, too?"

At this question, Kairi froze.

Keyblades weren’t known for their ability to bring joy and happiness. In her experience, they only brought heartache and misery and death. Even Aqua still had nightmares about her time in the Dark Realm, something she would have never experienced had it not been for the keyblade.

But even so…

"The keyblade is an incredibly powerful weapon, and power isn’t exactly an easy thing to wield. It comes with a lot of responsibility and courage." Kairi knelt down to look her daughter in the eyes, tightly holding the tiny hand that had always searched for her in times of trouble, a hand that she could never see holding a weapon. Still, the mother smiled.

"We would have to discuss things with your dad, sweetie. I’m raising a very strong little girl here, but keyblades aren’t for everyone. Just remember that the choice will always be up to you. And no matter what you decide, Daddy and I will always stand by you."

In Kairi’s honest opinion, her only real strength is her stubbornness. And that probably sounds silly and pathetic, but it’s true! You have to know when to stand your ground when you grow up with mostly boys and that’s something that’s followed Kairi to the battlefield. You can never back down during a fight and that is the only thing Kairi has never faltered in.

But everyone else, Aqua and Riku especially, tells her that her speed is improving a lot. She’s not as fast as the boys, of course, but out of everything that she’s been working on since she met Aqua, her speed is what stands out the most.

4. What is one of your character’s weaknesses in combat?

Oh boy, she could write a list. What she’s most unhappy with, though, is her magic. Aqua’s super good at it, but Kairi can’t even control a fire spell to save her life. Let’s not talk about the time she almost set Riku on fire….

spikes the eggnog?: …kairi. normally they all stay away from alcohol, especially kairi because aqua has no tolerance for showing up drunk to training. but hey, it’s the holidays. why not have some fun?

leaves cookies and milk out to keep up with the santa tradition?: sora and kairi while riku just shakes his head at them

"accidentally" throws away the fruitcake: definitely riku he ain’t got the patience for crappy food

goes overboard on the whipped cream?: all three of them probably but mostly sora ‘cause he just messes around with it and tries to put a beard of whipped cream on his face and pretend he’s santa???? he’s a weird kid

is the inevitable Christmas grinch?: riku pretends to be but we all know he secretly loves christmas more than sora and kairi

wakes up first on Christmas?: kairi and you can bet your ass she makes the boys get up with her no matter how early it is

rolls their eyes as the same cheesy carol plays in the stores for the millionth time?: obviously riku

starts playing Christmas music the day after Halloween?: …sora

decorates the Christmas tree?: all three of them of course!!

hello hello! some of you already know me but the majority of you don't sooooo here we go~

uh uh my name's jade!! i'm 18 and i live in the united states. illinois, to be exact. don't ever move here. i literally live across the street from a corn field and we're getting snow this week and i just... sighs

umm i'm a freshman in college working part time as a waitress!! i'm currently going to school for early childhood education but i'm not entirely sure where i'm gonna... go with my life after that. i guess we'll see~

altogether, i've been roleplaying since i was about.... 11?? i started RPing on tumblr when i was 16!! my first muse was actually namine waaaay back when citta first opened. i've been anri sonohara and mirai kuriyama aaaaaand elizabeth midford here at citta as well (none of those lasted long lmao). kairi is by far my favorite muse ehehe

other than that i guess i don't have much to say uuuuuh i like to read. a lot. i'm also really really reeeeally obsessed with kpop lmao. bangtan and mblaq are my two favorite groups ;u;
