you know what still kills me?

this

entire

scene

with the way they were looking at eachother

and the fact that

they were this close

with link literally on the verge of dying

in zelda’s arms

laying down on her lap

and it’s all canon. and it’s angsty. and it’s sad. but holy sht still can’t believe they did that to our beloved zelda and link (also the fact that they played zelda’s lullaby in the background? just fck me up fam why don’t you)

i finally posted the third and final chapter! since i never made a proper post for it on tumblr for the first 2 chapters, i’ll post the link to the entire fic here.

this is my BOTW! zelda/link fic. 9.8k words. it involves poetry, mutual pining, contemplation, dancing, and a chunky, grouchy cat.

Cloud has been shown in numerous cameos seeking a reunion with Aerith – matching his desire to meet her in the Promised Land.  

In World of Final Fantasy, Terra says Aerith is the woman Cloud loves. 

In Final Fantasy Tactics, Cloud mentions finding the Promised Land & reunites with Tactics Aerith. 

The Dissidia ending is a flower field. Cloud has a green materia in his hand. 

In the AC/C credits, Cloud is riding his motorcycle through flower fields stated to represent Aerith.

You can nit-pick each of these examples, but the overall, big-picture symbolism is that Cloud has continued feelings for Aerith (the “love rival” of Tifa, and the only other woman in the officially established FFVII love triangle). If I were Tifa, I’d be jealous, too. Tifa see’s exactly what us Clerith’s see: REAL Cloud still loves Aerith – even in death.  

Bottom line: Cloud continually seeks Aerith in cameos and even in the AC/C credits (the flower fields appear in both AC & ACC). 

To deny Cloud’s continued ROMANTIC love for Aerith (even in death) is to deny common sense symbolism.

aerith sees grumpy cloud and is like "nope, he's mine. i must fix this." and gives him a free flower knowing it's her only source of income just to make him a bit happier and we STAN!!!
