Star Wars: Before the Awakening by Greg Rucka

The toothless political façade of the Sequel Trilogy could have been cool guys. It could have been smart and interesting and a poignant commentary on the resurgence of imperialistic and facist ideology. It could have had the same anger towards corruption and the same dedication to the cause of good and hope that Poe and Leia exhibit in this scene.

It doesn't, but it could have.

Poe and Leia, you will always be the beating heart of the Resistance Era for me. Because I love you. And because you actually got to appear in stuff that was well written, everyone say thank you to Greg Rucka, Charles Soule, and Claudia Gray!

The way I had been lowkey highkey upset after watching the Superman movie because I kept on thinking about how I could never become the person that Superman believes I could become, but, you know what? I think he’d be proud of me for trying🥹

the fact that the sequel trilogy could have perfectly set up a three v three scenario where the main trio could have each taken down their counterparts (poe against hux, finn against phasma, rey against ren) before they defeated snoke together so you could explore their characters and pasts and show the differences between the dark and light side of the force. and not only did they not do that but they basically screwed over the trio as a concept entirely

Yall this has been one of the most fun AEW PPVS I’ve seen in a long while, that anarchy of the arena match was SOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN
