what’s the vibe of your blog. everyone has their own. is it an art gallery exhibit serving canapés. a nightclub. a knights of the round table situation. a book discussion meeting. a lonely hearts club newspaper section. a bedroom where you and two friends are chatting. the school of athens debating matters of consequence. a garden tea party. a bacchanal. an agatha christie murder novel style tense dinner party. etc

Please excuse the frequent appearance of this and other related shots over the past 12 years, or so (!) Honing my editing techniques is a continuing process for me.

I was given paper, and for a long time I set about producing, by means of verses and inscriptions in every known language and a thousand forms and stories, a sort of world history mingled with memories of my studies and fragments of dreams made more plausible by my obsession (which was itself prolonged by them). I did not confine myself to the modern traditions of creation. My thoughts went further. As if in memory I caught a glimpse of the first covenant made, by means of talismans, by the genii of old.
– Gérard de Nerval, Aurélia

Trying to remember the last time I played hide and seek. The last time I said hi to everyone on the street or saw the girls I spent every day of six years with. The last time my dad picked me up, or my mum brushed my hair. When was the last time I dressed without consideration? There is so much to think about now. I remember falling on the grass at school and making stories with the clouds. Hanging upside down from the swing and realising how big the world was. I wonder on the path of growing when we stop feeling big. I am taller now, smaller still.
