Kashmir has been under military occupation by the Indian State for several decades. More than 700,000 armed forces are currently stationed there and have been given wide powers of arrest, detention, torture and shoot to kill. In 1991, one of the battalions of the Rajputana Rifles entered the Kunan-Poshpora villages where they forced the men to leave their houses while they beat up and raped dozens of women. 

There has been absolutely no accountability for the human rights violations committed by the Indian army/paramilitary forces in Kashmir.

played sims 4 for the first time and one of the married cis men had a desire to try for baby with his cis husband. i accidentally pinned it and could not unpin it. trying for baby is physically impossible. I tried to use cheats to give him a viable womb in create a sim but it wouldn’t let me do so retroactively. so I thought, maybe if they adopt the want for pregnancy will go away, and had them adopt a toddler daughter. but then the try for baby desire did not go away. since they now had an unwanted adopted child I tried to remove the toddler from the household, thinking this would send her back into the ether. it did not. instead she wanders the neighborhood like a feral cat. i thought the social worker would come and take her back so someone else could adopt her, but I guess there is no social worker in sims 4. so now the neighborhood is haunted by a smelly miserable baby that has no home but cannot die and everyone who sees her is uncomfortable. fucking omelas scenario.

Yupana, ancient Inca calculators. Small pebbles of different colors or grains of corn were placed in small trays of wood or stone which indicated numerical value. We know that the Inca used them to keep meticulous record of astrological movements, the reigns of kings and to track commerce throughout the empire. One source says that no village of the Inca, no matter how small, lacked yupana.

Using yupanas, the Incas could count into the millions. According to Jesuit records of the Yupana, the calculations were never incorrect. Unfortunately, the exact system of calculating with stones has been forgotten, but many reconstructions have been put forth by eminent mathematicians and archaeologists.

i’m doing better though. even if the progress i’ve made seems Little. i’m talking to more people. im exercising and drawing more. i’m being more honest with myself and the people i care about. i’m working two jobs and i have a trip planned next month. i’ll be okay in time, i believe that for once.

im not really Sad now or feeling bad about myself or beating myself up. i just miss someone. i still have pics of them on my phone from numerous outings, screenshots of things they said to me that meant a lot. am i holding myself back from moving on by holding on to them? i’m scared to let them go. i dont wanna forget they were my friend.
