Not deactivating but... logging off what might be for the last time... it’s like the rapture happened on here, few people I actively followed are left. A part of me is relieved to finally be saying goodbye to this site... it was a shelter for me during a dark part of my life and I’m moving on now. Been fun, gang.
I’m not crying, you’re crying.

being trans and stealth (as in, very few people irl knowing you are trans) is a very specific experience, and while it comes with a lot of material advantage, most of all for trans men, it is also a very lonely experience, and one people should approach with more empathy.
like, i do not mention to people that i am trans, almost never. i go to great lengths to avoid mentioning it. i’m not ashamed of being trans, it’s just not a relevant information to share. i don’t talk about trans issues irl. i live with people who do not know i am trans, i fuck people who do not know i am trans, i have deep friendships with people who do not know i am trans.
for a lot of people, being stealth is not a possibility ; however, in all cases, it also comes with a great level of danger. in many cases, the more you look like a cis person, the more violent people get when they find out you’re trans. it is a very lonely experience in many ways, most of all because being stealth means you can’t connect with other stealth trans people, since you’re never gonna mention it to each other. cis people can absolutley not wrap their head around the fact that people like you can exist, and say a lot of fucked up stuff in your presence.
i just wish people could include stealth trans people in their analysis, acknowledge that there are poor stealth trans people, stealth trans people of color, gay and bi stealth trans people (which is another bag of worms entirely), young and old stealth trans people, that anyone could be a stealth trans person, and that it does come with specific challenges other people might never understand.

So I found out a few months ago that wanting to ‘not exist’ or wishing you could ‘just sleep forever’ is also considered suicidal (specifically suicidal idealization). It shocked me cause I used to think that way when I was younger but had previously thought that being suicidal meant explicitly wanting to die.. but it actually involves wanting to not live too.
I think its an important thing to note cause it might allow someone to realize the severity of their condition earlier.

I really thought this sort of thing wasn’t gonna happen in Canada... this is scary.
On Saturday, November 17th, the Ontario Progressive Conservative (PC) party voted to pass a resolution that would deny recognizing gender identity theory, during a three-day convention in Toronto.
PC Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) Tanya Granic Allen proposed the resolution, which reads, “Be it resolved that an Ontario PC Party recognizes “gender identity theory” for what it is, namely, a highly controversial, unscientific “liberal ideology”; and, as such, that an Ontario PC Government will remove the teaching and promotion of “gender identity theory” from Ontario schools and its curriculum.”
The motion follows the PC’s decision to rescind the updated 2015 sexual education curriculum introduced under the former Liberal government, and reinstate the curriculum from 1998, which excludes topics such as gender identity and online safety.
Since the passing of this vote, numerous members of the transgender community have spoken out to condemn the PC’s decision, advocating for policies that protect the rights and safety of trans and gender diverse peoples.

“In 1637 the Pequot Massacre took place, when over 700 Native men, women and children were slaughtered in what's now known as Mystic, Connecticut. The following day, the governor declared a day of thanksgiving and held a feast to celebrate their victories in battle. Thirty-nine years later in Massachusetts, the colonists declared a "day of public celebration and thanksgiving" saying, "there now scarce remains a name or family of them [Natives] but are either slain, captivated or fled," right after the slaughtering of a tribe including the beheading of Wampanoag chief Metacom (which remained on display for 24 years after King Philip's war). It was not until 1863 that Abraham Lincoln officially declared it a national holiday, in the same year the Sioux were being removed from Minnesota, during which the bounty for a Sioux scalp was $25.”
